Inflammatory Bowel Disease 환자에 있어서 유가공식품 섭취

  • Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)환자의 유가공품 내성에 대한 병력과 의사나 영양학자로부터 받은 지침은 IBD환자들의 관리에 있어서 중요한 주안점이 된다. 대부분의 환자들이 불편 없이 매일 우유를 마실 수 있지만 부가적인 고찰에서는 개인적 요소와 크게 관련이 있는 특정요소가 있다는 것이다. 유가공품에 민감한 IBD 환자들의 진단으로 lactose의 내성과 흡수 장애, long- chain 지방산, 우유에 대한 알러지, 유가공품에 대한 심리적인 요소와 부정적인 인식 등이 있다. 유당 흡수장애의 발생빈도는 결장이나 ulcerative colitis (UC)를 포함하는 Crohndisease (CD)환자에서보다 소장의CD환자에서 더 높다. 유당 흡수장애의 후천적인 발생빈도는 유전적 요소에 기인하는 인종적 요인에 의해 주로 결정된다. 게다가 소장의 CD에서 유당 흡수장애는 lactase 효소보다도 세균성 이상증식이나 소장에서 통과하는 시간(small bowel transit time) 과 같은 요소에 의해 결정된다. 의사들이 IBD환자에게 내리는 지침에 있어서의 의견은 매우 다양하며, 진단이 내려지면 유가공품을 회피하라는 극단적인 충고가 있는 반면에IBD의 조절에 있어서 유가공품의 섭취를 줄이라는 제안을 내리는 경우도 있다. IBD환자들은 대중적인 식이요법 책의 저자들이나 의사들로부터 임의적인 제안과 환자들의 부정적 인식 때문에 우유 불내증이나 유당 흡수장애의 발병율의 근거가 거의 없는데도 필요이상으로 유가공품을 피한다. 따라서, 충분한 과학적.임상적 정보의 축적은 IBD환자들에게 유가공품의 섭취에 대한 지침을 설정하는 데에 유용하다.

Seasonal Prevalence of Mosquitoes and Ecological Characteristics of Anopheline Larval Occurrence in Gimpo, Gyeonggi Province, Republic of Korea (경기도 김포시 모기의 계절적 발생소장 및 얼룩날개모기 유충 발생원의 생태학적 특성)

  • This study was conducted to elucidate the seasonal prevalence of adult mosquitoes and occurrence of anopheline larvae in Gimpo, Gyeonggi province, Republic of Korea. Sampling of adult mosquitoes was carried out 18 times from May to September in 2008, using light traps at six sites. A total of 48,919 individuals belonging to 16 species and 8 genera were collected. Aedes vexans nipponii (43%) was the most frequently collected, followed by Anopheles sinensis (34%) and Culex tritaeniorhynchus (14%). The seasonal prevalence of anopheline mosquitoes had a different occurrence compared to that of Cx. tritaeniorhynchus. Anopheline larvae were collected using a standard dipper (size = of 350 ml) at eight habitat types of 203 point locations. Anopheline larvae were confirmed from 138 points (63%). The average larval population per dipper was highest in the lotus plantation (6.9 individuals), followed by irrigation channel (4.5 ind.), dropwort field (3.4 ind.), fallow field (3.1 ind.), paddy field (1.8 ind.), swamp (1.4 ind.), and stream (0.2 ind.). There was no significant relationship observed between larval density and DO, pH, salinity, or distance from blood meal hosts (cowshed, pigsty, chicken-house). In the results of average nearest neighbor analysis (ANNA), the distribution of whole points for mosquito larval collection was clustered, and points with over 4.0 larvae per dipper were randomly distributed. Within the study area Haseong-myeon, those points where over 3.0 larvae were collected were of a dispersed distribution.

Study on Seasonal Occurrence of Apple Mites, Panonychus ulmi (Koch) and Tetranychus urticae (Koch), in Kyungpook Apple Orchards (경북지방에 있어서 사과나무응애류의 발생생태에 관한 연구)

  • Studies were carried out to investigate the overwintering densities of spider mites, hatching rate and time of P. ulmi eggs, and seasonal occurrences of spider mites (P. ulmi and T. urticae) in apple orchards of Kyungpook province from 1987 to 1989. Overwintering density of P. ulmi eggs was higher in Kunwi, Andong, Chilgok but lower in Kyungju. Overovintering densities of T. urticae were high in all the regions. With the hatching time and rate for P. ulmi eggs, the first hatching ate was April 14, and the last was May 3, and the average hatching rate was 89.3%. The density of P. ulmi was high from early May to middle July and T. urticae begin to increase rapidly from middle June and then was continuously high upto fruit harvesting time.

  • Species and seasonal occurrences of Sencinae, Melolonthinae and Rutelinae chafers captured b by blacklight traps were investigated from 1989 to 1991 in Suwon and Chonju. Numbers of s species captured in Suwon and Chonju were 6 and 6 for Sericinae, 8 and 7 for Melolothinae, 7 a and 8 for Rutelinae, 21 and 21 in total, respectively. Species with more captures from both districts in each subfamily were Maladera orientalis of Sericinae, Holotrichia morosa and H. diomphalia of Melolonthinae, and Anomala corpulenta, and A. rufocuprea of Rutelinae. Adults of t the above five species were captured 1O~20 days earlier in Chonju than in Suwon. H. d diomphalia adults occurred mamly In odd years in Chonju, which is the same pattern as in S Suwon.

Comparative Study of the Clinicopathologic Characteristics between Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumors Arising from the Stomach and Small Bowel (위와 소장에 생긴 위장관 간질종양의 임상병리학적 비교)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to compare the clinicopathological characteristics of stomach and small bowel gastrointestinal stromal tumors and to determine the risk factors and treatment guidelines. Materials and Methods: Among 38 patients who were diagnosed with a gastrointestinal stromal tumor from August 1998 to May 2006, 29 patients at the Pundang Jesaeng General Hospital, Daejin Medical Center were evaluated. The clinicopathological characteristics of gastrointestinal stromal tumors arising from stomach and small bowel were compared. Immunohistochemical staining for CD117, CD34, smooth muscle actin, desmin, and S-100 protein was performed and classified according to NIH criteria. Prognosis between groups was analyzed according to NIH criteria. Results: There was no significant difference in the clinicopathological characteristics and prognosis between gastrointestinal stromal tumors arising from the stomach and small bowel. Recurrence of the disease occurred in four (13.8%) patients. Classification of gastrointestinal stromal tumors according to NIH criteria was predictive of recurrence (P=0.030). Conclusion: NIH criteria were predictive of recurrence, but the location of the primary site was not predictive of recurrence. A further study involving multi center data and a long-term follow-up will be needed for formulating diagnostic and therapeutic guidelines.

  • Experiments had been carried out in Suweon area from 1972 to 1973 to determine the seasonal fluctuation of Pseudodendrothrips mori NIWA using direct counts and to know the effects of chemicals for its control. 1. The fluctuation of mulberry thrips was especially influenced by precipitation and number of hours with sunshine in the meteological conditions. The peaks of fluctuation occurred several times but the highest peak occurred in late August. 2. The mulberry thrips was distributed in the range of the 4th to 16th leaves from the apex in a branch. The highest density leaves were 6th to 12th. 3. Orthene, Metasystox were the most effects on the mulberry thrips.

Seasonal Occurrence of Three Pest Moths in Jujube Orchards in Boeun, Korea (보은지역 대추과원 나방류 해충 3종의 발생 소장)

  • Currently, clearwing moths and peach fruit moths are considered economically important pests of jujube in Boeun, Chungbuk, Korea. However, until now, specific studies on occurrence of the major pests of jujube in Boeun area, which could be useful for pest control, have not been carried out. In this study, seasonal occurrence of three pest moths (Synanthedon bicingulata, S. haitangvora, and Carposina sasakii) in jujube orchards was monitored using sex pheromone traps. Synanthedon bicingulata and S. haitangvora were monitored from 2013 to 2015. Adults of both species were captured from May to October, with two peaks in their occurrence: mid-June and mid-September for S. bicingulata, and mid- to late-June and mid- to late-September for S. haitangvora. However, S. haitangvora occurred in lower numbers than S. bicingulata. Adults of C. sasakii were captured from 2014 to 2016. From May to October, two peaks were observed in their occurrence in mid-June and in late-August to mid-September and the second peak was lower than the first. Thus, the life histories of these pest moths of jujube should be studied in detail for an effective pest control.
