  • 최근 전력 수요의 증가와 지구 온난화 문제가 화두가 되면서 피크 전력관리와 스마트 그리드의 필요성이 강조되고 있다. 이들을 구현하기위해 반드시 필요한 것이 에너지 저장 시스템이다. 본 발표는 배터리 에너지 저장 시스템에 사용되는 능동형 셀 발란싱 기능을 갖는 배터리 관리 시스템에 관한 것이다. 전력 에너지 저장용 배터리는 원하는 전압과 전력을 저장하기위해 단전지(Cell)들을 보통 수천 개가 직렬 병렬로 연결되어 구성된다. 배터리팩을 구성하는 단전지 한 개의 용량이 다른 단전지 보다 크거나 작던지 또는 한 개의 단전지에 문제가 생기면 배터리팩 전체의 성능이 저하되든가 또는 사용 할 수가 없게 된다. 따라서 배터리팩을 구성 할 때는 용량이 동일 한 단전지들을 사용한다. 에너지 저장용 배터리팩에는 수백 와트의 단전지 들이 사용되므로 에너지 저장용 배터리팩을 위한 단전지 생산에는 많은 어려움이 있다. 능동형 셀 발란싱 기술을 사용 하면 이러한 배터리팩의 문제를 해결 할 수 있어 셀 제조원가를 절감 할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 배터리팩의 가용용량을 늘릴 수 있고 또한 배터리팩의 수명을 연장 할 수 있다.

  • It has been attempted to approach a method to develop games efficiently. Many companies in game industries have their own developing process. A efficient game developing process or manufactory tools doesn't show the successful development, but it is necessary to propose the typical design method on viewpoint of game developer. In this paper, we propose how we solve RPG game character balancing problem in order to derive the balancing design to be applicable on a game. We will approach to game balancing design based on experienced experiments through balancing analysis of game character in RPG genre.

Abnormal Vibration of the Steam Turbine Shaft in 500 MW Class Coal-fired Power Plants (500 MW급 석탄화력발전소 증기터빈축 이상진동의 해결방안)

  • During the start-up of 500 MW class coal-fired power plant, abnormal shaft vibration was occurred on bearings installed on both side of high and intermediate pressure steam turbine. Shaft vibration was analyzed to investigate the reason and find the resolution, based on well-known theory in this study. Typical vibration characteristics which occur when rotating parts contact with stationary parts were observed at the analysis of frequency, amplitude and phase angle. The reason of abnormal vibration was assumed to be rub and internal parts wear was observed during repair period. As a result of applying low speed turning and balancing for resolution of abnormal vibration, balancing was more effective for rub removal. So balancing could be excellent resolution in the case of abnormal vibration which is similar to this study.

  • 발란싱 축소모델의 상태변수는 플랜트의 상태변수에 대한 정보를 주지 못한다. 발란싱 축소모델을 좌표 변환하여 얻은 상태유지 축소모델은 그 축소오차가 발란싱 축소모델의 축소오차와 같음을 증명하였다. 상태축소오차를 정의하였고, 이 오차를 구하는 방법을 제시하였는데, 이 오차는 축소모델의 차수가 정해지면 불변임을 증명하였다. 상태유지 축소모델의 상태변수는 그 상태축소오차가 작은 경우 원 시스템의 상태변수를 근사하는 장점이 있다. 상태유지 축소모델을 저차원제어기 설계에 적용하여 저차원 상태변수가 플랜트의 상태변수를 근사하는 예를 보여주었다.

  • In this paper, we tested and analysed the performance of the load balancer which advances the performance of web server farm. Load balancer distributes the traffic that is inputting from internet and accepts client's connection requests to its maximum capacity. Then we test the maximum connection requests per second that load balancer processed and the load balancing that established with the load balancer.

  • In this paper, we propose MPI gridding algorithm of LiDAR data that minimizes the communication between the cores. The LiDAR data collected from aircraft is a 3D spatial information which is used in various applications. Since there are many cases where the LiDAR data has too high resolution than actually required or non-surface information is included in the data, filtering the raw LiDAR data is required. In order to use the filtered data, the interpolation using the data structure to search adjacent locations is conducted to reconstruct the data. Since the processing time of LiDAR data is directly proportional to the size of it, there have been many studies on the high performance parallel processing system using MPI. However, previously proposed methods in parallel approach possess possible performance degradations such as imbalanced data size among cores or communication overhead for resolving boundary condition inconsistency. We conduct empirical experiments to verify the effectiveness of our proposed algorithm. The results show that the total execution time of the proposed method decreased up to 4.2 times than that of the conventional method on heterogeneous clusters.
