  • In this paper, we define a new Lucas-Padoovan sequence using the Padovan sequence, and a new topological interconnection network is constructed using it. Coding nonnegative integers using subsequences of the Lucas-Padovan sequence, and using this to construct a new Lucas-Padovan cubes to deal with topological properties.

  • Parametric stereo(PS) audio coding is a specific version of spatial audio coding. In this paper, the problem due to the conventional synthesis of phase differences. In the conventional upmix matrix, phase differences are synthesized not only on downmix signal but also ambient signal, which violates the assumption that the ambient signals are anti-phased. Deterioration due to the phase synthesis is analyzed, especially, for low interchannel correlation. To solve this problem, new upmix matrix is proposed, which synthesizes phase differences only on downmix signal. The performance of the proposed upmix matrix is verified by the subjective listening tests.

  • Parametric stereo(PS) and MPEG surround(MPS) are major spatial audio coding(SAC) tools. In this paper, the problem of the inter-channel correlation(ICC) synthesis in the conventional SAC is analyzed. Conventional methods assume that ambient components mixed to two output channels are anti-phased, while the primary components are assumed to be in-phased. This assumption can cause excessive ambient mixing for a negative-valued ICC. As a remedy to this problem, we propose a new ICC synthesis method based on an assumption that the primary components are anti-phased each other for a negative ICC. The proposed method is also applied to the approximation which works in practice. The performance of the proposed method was evaluated by computer simulations and the subjective listening tests verified that the proposed method is effective in not only headphones but also loudspeakers playback.

  • In this paper, we propose a novel Vehicular Ad-hoc Network(VANET) which includes communication and ranging features, using Spread Spectrum(SS) multi-carrier modulation scheme. In existing methods, a spread spectrum technique was used to communicate with other vehicles and raging was possible by detecting phase difference between transmission/reception of the PN signal. However, the use of high-speed PN signals is mandatory to detect possible errors of phase difference and to increase the analysis capacity. In the proposed system, multi-carrier modulation scheme was used as solution of mentioned problem. The multi-carrier modulation scheme uses smaller PN signal and chip-rate than the single-carrier modulation, so it is possible to send multiple carrier waves using the same frequency range. This technique (multiple carrier waves) allows to have the Equal Gain Combing (EGC) diversity effect, providing better result in phase difference error detection and raging accuracy.

  • 서남극 빙상의 감소 속도는 급격히 가속화되고 있으며, 전 지구적 해수면 상승과 기후변화 예측을 위해 이 지역에 대한 지속적인 관찰이 요구되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 서남극 Canisteo 반도와 주변 지역이 촬영된 2쌍의 ERS-1/2 tandem pair에 4-pass 위상차분간섭기법을 적용하여 위상차분간섭도를 생성하였고, 빙하와 해빙, 그리고 빙붕의 표면 변화를 관찰하였다. 위상차분간섭도에서 센서 방향으로의 변위를 추출한 결과 해안 빙하와 그에 인접한 정착빙은 같은 방향의 움직임을 나타냈다. 특히 빙하와 맞닿은 부분의 정착빙은 그 움직임이 다른 부분에 비해 컸는데, 이는 빙하의 하강 및 유실이 해빙에 영향을 끼치는 것으로 판단된다. 정착빙의 가장자리에 위치한 해빙은 해류의 영향에 기인하는 움직임을 보였으며, 이 해빙의 유형이 부빙 또는 유빙임을 알 수 있었다. 반도 양옆에 위치한 빙붕은 모두 센서 방향으로의 움직임을 보였으나 그 크기에서 차이를 나타냈다. 빙붕의 표면에서는 원형의 국부적 함몰이 다수 관찰되었는데, 이는 남극저층수의 적은 유입으로 인해 형성된 melt pond로 추정된다.

  • The alternative method for symmetric configuration in optical link consisted of dispersion management and optical phase conjugation for compensating of the distorted optical signals due to chromatic dispersion and nonlinear effects of standard single mode fiber is proposed. The symmetric configuration means number of fiber spans, dispersion distribution in former half section and latter half section, etc should be symmetrical about optical phase conjugator. In dispersion-managed proposed in this research, optical phase conjugator is located after former half section consisted of 6 fiber spans and before latter half section of 14 fiber spans, and the averaged residual dispersion per span (RDPS) of each half section are consistence. The compensation effects of the distorted signals in the proposed link is analyzed by comparing with the results obtained in dispersion-managed link with the unequally averaged RDPS of each half section. From the simulation results, it is confirmed that RDPS deviation between adjacent fiber span has a grater effect on the compensation than the equivalent of the averaged RDPS.

Effect of Fuel/Air Mixing Quality on Temperature Characteristics in a Lean Premixed Model Gas Turbine (희박 예혼합 모형 가스터빈 내에서 연료/공기 혼합정도가 온도 특성에 미치는 영향)

  • Experimental investigations were carried out in an atmospheric pressure, optically accessible and laboratory-scale dump combustor. The objective of this study is to obtain the phase-resolved gas temperatures at different phases of the oscillating pressure cycle during unstable combustion. To see the effect of incomplete fuel-air mixing on phase-resolved temperature characteristics, CARS temperature measurements were performed. Results including phase-resolved averaged temperature, normalized standard deviation and temperature probability distribution functions (PDFs) were provided in this paper. It could be found that the profile of mean temperature showed the in-phase relationship with pressure cycle. Temperature PDFs give an insight on the flame behavior as well as NOx emission characteristics. These results would be expected to play an important role in better understanding of driving mechanisms and thermo-acoustic interactions.

  • 본 논문에서는 출력 인덕터 리플과 2차 측 정류기의 공진 전압을 저감할 수 있는 다중 위상천이 풀 브리지 컨버터를 제안한다. 제안된 회로는 총 8개의 스위치가 사용되며, 각 4개의 스위치가 하나의 위상천이 풀 브리지 인버터 부를 구성하는 구조이다. 기존 위상천이 풀 브리지 컨버터의 경우, 진상레그와 지상레그의 위상차이를 조절하여 출력전압을 제어하는데 반해, 제안된 회로는 진상레그와 지상레그의 위상차이 뿐만 아니라 각 풀 브리지 인버터 부의 위상차이를 동시에 조절하여 출력전압을 제어하는 것이 특징이다. 이를 통하여 제안회로는 출력 인덕터 전류 리플 및 2차 측정류기의 공진 전압을 크게 저감시킬 수 있어 고 효율화에 유리하다. 본 논문에서는 제안된 회로의 이론적 해석 및 PSIM 모의실험을 수행하며, 450W급 시작품을 제작하여 제안회로의 타당성을 검증하였다.
