  • Since the appearance of the first computer virus in 1986, a significant number of new viruses has appeared every year. Recently, there has been a marked increase in the number of mobile malicious code(virus, worm, trojan) in Mobile devices(smart phone, PDA). As a growing number of people use mobile device, we have to prepare for coming mobile attacks. In this paper, we study trends and characteristics of mobile malicious code. And, we describe considerations of on-device and network security in mobile environment.

  • This paper presented a new technology to identify traffic violations of motorbike riders by detecting the traffic signal using You Only Look Once (YOLO) object detection. The hardware module that is mounted on the front of the motorbike consists of Raspberry Pi with a camera to run the YOLO object detection, a GPS module to acquire the motorcycle's coordinate, and a LoRa communication module to send the data to a cloud DB. The main goal of the software is to determine whether a motorbike has violated a traffic signal. This paper proposes a function to recognize the red traffic signal colour with its movement inside the camera angle and determine that the traffic signal violation happens if the traffic signal is moving to the right direction (the rider turns left) or moving to the top direction (the riders goes straight). Furthermore, if a motorbike rider is violated the signal, the rider's personal information (name, mobile phone number, etc), the snapshot of the violation situation, rider's location, and date/time will be sent to a cloud DB. The violation information will be delivered to the driver's smartphone as a push notification and the local police station to be used for issuing violation tickets, which is expected to prevent motorbike riders from violating traffic signals.

  • This is the study on recognition units and segmentation of phonemes. In the case of making large vocabulary speech recognition system, it is better to use the segment than the syllable or the word as the recognition unit. In this paper, we study on the proper recognition units and segmentation of phonemes for Korean speech recognition. For experiments, we use the speech toolkit of OGI in U.S.A. The result shows that the recognition rate of the case in which the diphthong is established as a single unit is superior to that of the case in which the diphthong is established as two units, i.e. a glide plus a vowel. And recognizer using manually-aligned training data is a little superior to that using automatically-aligned training data. Also, the recognition rate of the case in which the bipbone is used as the recognition unit is better than that of the case in which the mono-Phoneme is used.

  • An overview of various modes and tools of MPEG Surround is provided Because the binaural mode of MPEG Surround supports the virtual 5.1-channel playback based on HRTFs, it can be played via headphones and earphones for portable audio devices. MPEG Surround also supports the enhanced matrix mode which converts stereo signals to 5.1-channel signals without side information, the 3D stereo mode which deals with 3D-coded signals, the low power version which greatly reduces the computational load in the decoding process. Besides, MPEG Surround provides the arbitrary downmix gains (ADGs) tool which is applied to artistic downmix signals, the matrix compatibility tool which is applied to downmix signals by conventional matrix-based methods, the residual coding tool -which can be used at high bit rates, and the GES tool which is applied to specific sound such as applause. The listening test results by various companies and organizations are also presented for important modes and tools.

  • With the increasing use of touch-enabled mobile devices such as smartphones and tablet PCs, the works are done on desktop computers and smartphones, and tablet PCs perform laptops. However, due to the nature of smart devices that require portability, QWERTY keyboard is densely arranged in a small screen. This is the cause of different typographical errors when using the mechanical QWERTY keyboard. Unlike the mechanical QWERTY keyboard, which has enough space for each button, QWERTY keyboard on the touch screen often has a small area assigned to each button, so that it is often the case that the surrounding buttons are input rather than the button the user intends to press. In this paper, we propose a method to automatically correct the input errors of the QWERTY keyboard in the touch screen environment by using the n-gram language model using the word unigram and the bigram probability.

  • The performance of hidden camera cameras is improving day by day due to miniaturization and advanced technology integration according to the speed of technological development of smartphones. As this external networking computing environment is advanced and diversified, exposure to hidden cameras in addition to general safety cameras is also increasing. On the other hand, the technology for detecting and preventing hidden cameras is not keeping up with the development and speed of these hidden cameras. Therefore, in this study, the heat of the hidden camera was detected using infrared thermal detection technology based on general image and thermal image synthesis technology, and the reflectance of each wavelength according to the difference in ambient temperature was analyzed to reduce the false positive rate.

  • With the recent increase in hacks targeting smartphones, users are becoming increasingly anxious about the security of their smartphones. Using a mobile anti-virus is one of the best ways to reduce this anxiety. However, there aren't many ways for users to learn about mobile anti-virus performance and features. While there are certification organizations that conduct annual performance evaluations of mobile anti-virus products and make them publicly available, they don't disclose the specifics of their testing methods and detailed results. In addition, previous quality evaluation studies are not suitable for evaluating modern mobile anti-viruses due to the existence of evaluation criteria that are not suitable for mobile anti-virus product evaluation or lack of validation. Therefore, this paper establishes detailed mobile anti-virus evaluation metrics suitable for the evaluation of modern mobile anti-viruses and applies them to 10 domestic and international mobile anti-virus products to verify the validity of the established evaluation metrics.

  • This study was conducted before and after the non-equivalent control group to determine the effects of nursing students' self-observation using smartphone videos and feedback self-practice using QR-Code on core nursing skill performance ability, performance confidence, and self-efficacy. This is a quasi-experimental study using this design. The subjects of the study were 105 second-year nursing students at U University in G City, and the collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent t-test, Fisher's exact test, -test, and paired t-test using SPSS 23.0 program. As a result of the study, indwelling catheterization performance significantly increased (t=8.532, p<.001), but intramuscular injection performance was not statistically significant (t=1.818, p=.077). Confidence in performing indwelling catheterization (t=5.099, p<.001) and confidence in performing intramuscular injections (t=5.473, p<.001) increased statistically significantly, and self-efficacy (t=4.332, p<.001) increased. Significantly improved. Accordingly, self-observation using smartphone videos and feedback self-practice using QR-code are more effective for core nursing skill items with high difficulty, and provide objective evidence that self-practice training methods are effective in improving confidence in performing core nursing skills and self-efficacy. In addition, we propose a repeated study that includes various levels of difficulty for the 20 core nursing skills.

  • The goal of this paper is to analyze the performance of a word autocomplete system for mobile devices such as smartphones, tablets, and PCs. The proposed system automatically completes a partially typed string into a full word, reducing the time and effort required by a user to enter text on these devices. We collect a large amount of data from Twitter and develop both unigram and bigram dictionaries based on the frequency of words. Using these dictionaries, we analyze the performance of the word autocomplete system and devise a keystroke profit rate and recovery rate as new evaluation metrics that better describe the characteristics of the word autocomplete problem compared to previous measures such as the mean reciprocal rank or recall.
