A Study on the Strength Irrelevance of Hypervelocity Penetration (초고속 관통의 강도 무관성에 관한 연구)

  • The penetration depth of a hypervelocity jet exceeding 4 km/s is described by the density ratio of the jet and the target. In the case of the same density, the difference in strength between the targets does not affect the penetration depth difference. This study focuses on the "strength irrelevance" of such a hypervelocity jet. For this purpose, the change of crater pressure caused by shaped charge jet(SCJ) was calculated by finite element analysis and the possibility of polymorphic phase transition of steel material was investigated. Hypervelocity jets were found to cause polymorphic phase transitions in the steel target craters, and the decrease in the fracture toughness of the target is predicted as the cause of the strength irrelevance.

  • Clustering is one of the most important unsupervised learning methods that clusters data into homogeneous groups. However, cluster centers tend leaning to high density clusters because clustering is based on the distances between data points and cluster centers. In this paper, a modified clustering method forcing cluster centers to be apart by introducing a center-scattering term in the Fuzzy C-Means objective function is introduced. The proposed method converges more to real centers with small number of iterations compared to the original one. All the strengths can be verified with experimental results.

  • 저밀도폴리에틸렌과 나일론6의 블렌드가 용융압출기의 사용에 의해 제조되었다. 제 조된 비상용 블랜드의 유변학적, 형태학적 분석을 통하여 이들사이의 상관관계를 조사하였 다. 전단속도, 계면장력, 용융점도, 분산상의 농도들에 대한 분산상의 크기의 의존성을 평가 하였다. 한편 신장유동에 의한 모폴로지 변화를 조사하기 위하여 기제조된 블렌드를 사용하 여 용융방사를 하였다. 이러한 방식실험으로부터 본연구에 사용된 저밀도 폴리에틸렌과 나 일론6는 분산상과 연속상의 신장점도의 상대적 크기에 무관하게 피브릴화가 되어 방사 연신 비의 증가에 의해 매우 가는 분산된 피브릴을 얻을수 있었다.

  • As the minimally invasive approach against white spot like early caries lesions in proximal surfaces of the teeth, therapeutic sealing has been introduced and studied for effective materials and methods to arrest the early caries lesion effectively, which is still going on. This study was performed for the purpose of evaluating its validity for the non-cavitated lesions according to the depth from surface using therapeutic sealing followed by artificial caries induction and evaluation with micro-CT, and we obtained the results as follows. 1. It was revealed that the deeper the caries lesions are, the lower radiation intensity at lesion body areas in pre-treatment specimen. 2. In the sealed groups, there were no differences in radiation intensity between pre- and post-treatment, whereas there were significant decreases in unsealed groups(p<0.05). 3. Even in the specimens with the lesions reaching deeply into DEJ, the effect of sealing was significant(p<0.05). Conclusively, it was thought therapeutic sealing can be an effective tool against the early caries lesions, regardless of their depth into tooth, unless cavitated.

  • 임계온도가 높아 시스템응용에서 매우 안정한 장점을 지닌 고온초전도(HTS)도체를 이용한 HTS-SMES(Superconducting Magnetic Energy Storage)장치에 대하여 많은 연구가 진행되고 있다[1]-[2]. 이런 HTS-SMES 장치의 고가성, 복잡성 등 원인에 기인하여 운전에 앞서 장치의 임계전류, 자속유동손실 및 충.방전시 불가피하게 발생되는 교류손실 등과 같은 기본적인 특성들이 선행하여 연구되어야 한다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 600 kJ급 HTS-SMES코일에 대한 자장분석을 기반으로 코일의 임계전류밀도 분포를 계산하였고 최소 임계전류밀도에 근거하여 코일의 임계전류를 결정하였다. 그 주요 결과를 요약하면 코일에서 자장과 임계전류밀도 분포는 코일의 형상에 무관하게 같은 분포 경향을 보여주며 최소 임계전류밀도는 코일의 top과 bottom의 중심에 위치하며, model코일에서 임계전류의 계산값과 측정값이 비교적 잘 일치하였기 때문에 600 kJ급 HTS-SMES코일도 잘 일치할 것으로 사료된다. 또한 SMES코일을 20 K에서 운전한다고 가정하면 코일 임계전류의 ${\sim}60%$, 4.2 K에서는 ${\sim}40%$에서 각각 운전하게 될 것으로 예측된다.

Enhanced Multi-Point Relay Selection Algorithm for Mobility and Distribution of Nodes (노드 이동성 및 분포를 고려한 향상된 다중 점 릴레이 선택 알고리즘)

  • In this paper, we propose an improved MPR selection method considering mobility and density of nodes for ad-hoc networks. In Optimized Link State Routing(OLSR), a node selects 1-hop Multi-Point Relay(MPR) nodes to cover all 2-hop neighbor nodes. In a high population area, many nodes are likely to be selected as MPR nodes by their neighbors. This leads to increase in contention among MPR nodes and may decrease overall performance of the network. In addition, when an MPR node leaves the communication range of its MPR selector node, it can no longer perform as the MPR node and the performance of the network may also decrease. In this paper, we propose an MPR selection method which measures the mobility and density of nodes by exchanging the hello messages and gives the priorities to the nodes for MPR selection. Performance evaluation results using OPNET show that the proposed method is superior to OLSR or the MPR candidate method in terms of connectivity and throughput.

  • The electronic structure and properties of Ni$(C_6H_{4-n}F_n)(CO)_2$ ($C_6H_4$=benzyne, n=1-4) complexes have been investigated using hybrid density functional B3LYP theory. Both aromatic natures and nucleus independent chemical shift (NICS) of the benzyne rings have been analyzed. Among mono-, di-, and tri-fluorinated complexes, 3-F, 3,6-F, and 4-H are the most stable isomers, respectively. NICS values calculated at the several points above the ring centers are consistent with those based on the relative energies of the complexes. The atoms in molecules (AIM) analysis indicates that Ni-C bond distance is well correlated with the electron density of a ring critical point (${\rho}_{rcp}$) in all species.

  • 패션트렌드와 소비자감성에 적합한 패션소재를 기획, 선정하는데 도움을 주는 컴퓨터 기반의 의사 결정시스템이 개발되었다. 패션소재로서의 유용성을 결정하는 속성을 두께, 무게, 밀도, 광택, 색상등으로 한정한 후 다속성 모델을 구축하였다. 각 속성들의 가중치는 의류 매장의 방문객 대상의 설문 조사에 의해 결정되었으며, 한 소재의 최조 가치는 퍼지 추론 시스템에 의해 계산되었다. 구축된 “퍼지-다속성” 모델을 이용하여 패션소재의 총 가치를 i) 품질로부터의 가치, ii) 품질을 기반으로 부가되는 가치, iii) 품질과는 무관하게 형성되는 브랜드 가치의 세가지 요소롤 분해하였다. 시중의 유명 스포츠 의류 브랜드 2종을 선정하여 위의 모델을 적용하였다. 위의 모델은 컴퓨터 시스템으로 개발되어, 특정 소재의 기본정보가 입력이 되면 그에 해당하는 감성정보로 변환되는 소재 평가 시스템과 역으로 원하는 감성 어휘를 입력하면 그에 해당하는 소재를 제안하는 소재 기획 시스템의 독립적인 두 요소로 구성된다.

  • This research focus on analyzing the quality of clothing product in view of consumer's sensibility trend with a emphasis on measuring objective quality of pruduct. The fuzzy logic-based multi attribute model has been developed in order to evaluate the quality of clothing product. The overall quality of a clothing products can be divided into two distinct terms, product quality and brand value. Those two values are further analyzed with a relation to human sensibility.

Star Formation Rate and AGN in Barred Galaxies (막대은하의 별탄생율과 활동성 은하핵)

  • We investigate the dependence of star formation rate and Active Galaxy Nuclei (AGN) frequency on the bar properties, especially the bar strength, using SDSS DR6. To better represent the bar strength, we divided the bars into 6 classes according to their length and axial ratios. There seems to be a fairly good correlation between the star formation rate derived from $H{\alpha}$ emission lines and the bar strength, whereas there is no apparent correlation between the AGN activity and the bar strength. We interpret that the former correlation is due to the dependence of bar-driven gas inflow on the strength of bar. The lack of correlation between AGN and bar properties suggests that the accretion of gas onto a supermassive black hole (SMBH) is regulated by the interplay between the bar and SMBH. The frequency of AGN seems to be dependent on the background density but the star formation rate does not. It suggests that star formation is a localized phenomenon that is mostly determined by the gas density in a galaxy, while AGN activity is more closely related to the host property such as mass and luminosity that are thought to be dependent on the environment through the density-luminosity relation.
