A Study on the Establishment of Beauty Business Act for the Development of Beauty Industry (미용업 발전을 위한 미용업법 제정에 대한 연구)

  • 수명의 연장과 생활수준의 향상으로 인해 건강하고 아름다운 삶에 대한 관심과 욕구가 높아지고 이에 따라 미용 서비스 산업은 급격한 신장을 이루었고 이러한 미용업의 발달로 인해 미용분야는 전문화·세분화 되고 있다. 하지만 현재 우리나라는 이러한 미용업의 발전을 뒷받침할 수 있는 독립적 미용업 관련 법률을 갖추지 못하고 공중위생관리법으로 미용분야의 규율이 이루어지고 있다. 이에 미용산업의 독자적인 발전을 도모하고 미용업의 특성에 맞는 법적 규제를 위해서는 미용관련 독자적인 법률의 제정이 요구된다. 미용관련 독자적 법률의 제정의 방향은 면허권자를 보건복지부 장관으로 하고, 전문분야별 세부적 면허제도를 마련함이 필요하다. 또한 학력에 따른 지식이나 기술을 고려하여 면허의 종류에 따라 할 수 있는 업무범위 또는 개설영업범위를 달리하는 방법 등을 마련하여야 하고, 미용업에 대한 면허제도의 합리적 정비를 전제로 미용업 개설의 신고제는 유지됨이 타당하다.

  • The reality of this study is that, in accordance with the development trend of human body art, art makeup and semi-permanent makeup are emerging as promising industries in the beauty industry among beauticians, and awareness of professional skill improvement is gradually increasing over time. Accordingly, interest in semi-permanent makeup has increased not only among beauticians who specialize in beauty industry or learn semi-permanent makeup, but also at beauty academies where they learn many beauty techniques, and this trending technology has been promoted at international beauty competitions by holding skill competitions for beauty technicians who specialize in semi-permanent techniques. As a venue for exchanging information about education, it is expected that synergistic effects such as dissemination of the education system can be expected. Korea's rapid industrial development has brought about great changes in the supply and demand of professional and detailed skilled manpower and in the formation of manpower in terms of technical level according to industrial development, and the skills and professional skills of beauty beauticians have improved due to the excellence of the professional education qualifications of beauticians and high skill evaluations. This had a significant impact on self-development and led to a re-recognition of the importance of efforts to achieve skilled skills.

  • The K-Beauty beauty industry is emerging as a future-oriented growth industry that creates high added value. Therefore, this study analyzed the trends of the K-Beauty beauty industry, the latest cosmetics industry trends, and previous studies and reports related to global competitiveness with the purpose of suggesting a direction to develop into a promising industry with future value needs and competitiveness of consumers. First, it is necessary to induce the demonstration of social and economic value as an export-beneficial industry by enabling division of roles between industries and governments by sector based on innovation and creativity. Second, it is expected to succeed only when beauty and IT are fused to form and expand an innovation network. Finally, if legal and institutional improvements are preceded to solve the task of creating new jobs and fostering professionals that meet the goals of industrial development, it will be possible to strategize the revitalization of the future-oriented K-Beauty beauty industry.

Study of Correlations Resilience of the Beauty Industry Employees and Job Satisfaction and Happiness Index (미용종사자의 회복탄력성과 행복지수 및 직무만족도의 상관관계연구)

  • The beauty industry relies heavier upon the specialized labor of beauty industry employees than any other industry. Beauty industry employees directly meet their clients and are required to provide services with extremely delicate care. The sense of happiness of employees working at the interface of service provision matters most importantly for beauty industry growth. In this study, the correlation among beauty industry employees' resilience, happiness index and job satisfaction was tested under hypotheses. As a result, their resilience was found to have a significant effect on happiness index and job satisfaction; happiness index, on job satisfaction and resilience; and job satisfaction, on resilience and happiness index. Consequentially, it was found that when individual happiness increased, their job satisfaction moved up along with job performance. In this sense, for the further development of beauty industry, it is deemed necessary to consider methods to improve the sense of happiness of beauty industry employees.

A Study on State of Usage and Awareness of Cosmetic Waxing for Skin Health Care (스킨헬스케어를 위한 미용 왁싱 이용 실태 및 인식에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to provide fundamental data to cosmetic waxing industry by investigating the using and awareness of cosmetic waxing. The questionnaires were administered to 230 subjects in Gwangju and Jeon-nam regions and the collected were statistically processed using SPSS ver. 21.0 program. The results are as follows: First, the most frequent groups were 20s in age group, married in marital status, professional in occupation, and high school graduation in educational background. For the difference in awareness by their general characteristics, the hair removal techniques most experienced by subjects were shaving and waxing and most of them came to know the waxing through acquaintance. Most of them reported positive awareness for experience of waxing and clean hygiene and neatness accounted for most of reason. The most frequently used place for waxing was professional cosmetic shops (nail, skin, and hair) and the most frequent motivation for waxing was effectiveness for skin hygiene. The areas where waxing is mainly performed were armpit, arm, and leg. The most of subjects received the procedure twice a month and in spring. Most of them reported 'very satisfied' for the procedure. It is expected, based on the results of this study, that the cosmetic waxing industry as a part of the beauty industry that is attracting attentions as a new growth engine for the development of national economy accomplish growth.

Beauty Education of University Considering the Characteristics of Generation Z (Z세대의 특성을 고려한 대학의 미용교육)

  • With the development of related industries, there is a growing demand for the training of beauty professionals. At a time when there is a growing social interest in Cosmetology, there is a need to review functional Beauty Education. Generation Z, born after 1995, has the characteristics of a 'Digital Native' and is expected to be the main driver of future consumption. This study is intended to propose the orientation of Beauty Education of University considering the characteristics of the digital generation, Generation Z, in an era of declining school-age population. The results from the preceding and literary studies are as follows: First, Generation Z regards cosmetology as fun tool for self-realization. Second, Beauty Education of University should be designed as a creative curriculum combined with psychology, philosophy, aesthetics, etc., as well as acquiring professional skills. Third, it is believed that the learner-centered Beauty Education method using mobile video contents will be effective. Since the discussion of Beauty Education considering the characteristics of Generation Z is still in its early stages, further research on the direction of Education needs to be made in the future.

  • For modern people living in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution, appearance management and consumption behavior are very important factors not only in personal values but also in human relationships. It is used as an important means of competitiveness with skin beauty and fashion. It is used as an important means. Therefore, we compared and analyzed professionally from the aesthetic point of view about the makeup of the eyebrows, eyes, eye line, cheeks, lip make-up, and skin tone of Woohee, who appeared in the movie and Miss Korea in 1989. As a result of the study, other aspects were analyzed in the common denominator of a somewhat exaggerated makeup technique. Accordingly, through this study, it is possible to explore multiple angles for developing novel makeup patterns and items, and at the same time, it will help to establish a foundation for makeup beauty education. In addition, this study intends to contribute to the practical development with competitiveness by building a more aggressive marketing strategy in the makeup market.

  • The importance of the factors that influence on the sales from the owners of franchise beauty salons has been analized through AHP method. The result shows that the critical factors are workers, location, franchise brand power, facilities and price in turn. The importance of the low level shows that facilities, famous staffs, the appearance of workers, franchise brand's populality in turn.

  • The current beauty service of Korea is upgrading its outside appearance from traditional small-shop image and its speed of change and competition are more severe than ever before. The top priority trait of beauty management is based on man-power resource, and personnel-management is the most important thing that more than anything else. Compared with other arenas of business, personnel management plays a key role in beauty industry. As a result, this research begins with the issue of personnel management. In addition, I will show that the management leadership of beauty service affects organization civil actions and changing jobs in the beauty industry employees, and the leadership can lower changing job rate to some extent. The role and duty of business manager is very significant because the dependence of man-power resource is magnificent in beauty service. In spite of rapid changing of economic surroundings, the management of beauty service is still working without any detail plans. It is no exaggeration to say that the most of beauty service managers are lack of leadership conception. Although the demands of customers are changing everyday, the frequent changing of jobs among talented employees drops customers credibility and high-quality service. From a management viewpoint, re-training cost of employees leads to economic loss and the company suffers from financial problems. As a result, it creates vicious circle in the beauty industry. Today, the management atmosphere in the beauty service is hard to get its right track because of the cutthroat competitions of beauty industry and difficulties of hiring promising employees. It has been said that "Nothing ventured, Nothing gained" Above all, the beauty service requires job speciality and it produces economic profits. Therefore, the managers desperately need to change the way they regard those with job changers. In this research shows the principal index of the leadership type of beauty business managers how much affects its employees' long-term working condition. The new concept of leadership, such as alternative suggestions, setting goals, and organization civil action will reorganize the stereo-type frame. I will also investigate the factors of job changing and intention of the beauty service employees for the development option of the beauty industry.
