DMB-AF(DMB Application Format) 표준[1]은 MPEG-A라 불리는 MPEG 응용 포맷 표준 중 하나로서 2008년 8월 15일 발간된 ISO/IEC 23000-9 국제표준이다. DMB-AF는 지상파 DMB와 위성 DMB의 모든 콘텐트를 저장할 수 있는 파일 포맷으로서, 콘텐트 메타데이터를 포함할 뿐만 아니라 콘텐트 보호 및 관리 기능도 포함하고 있어 DMB 콘텐트 파일을 보호된 형태로 전자적 유통이 가능하며 DRM(Digital Rights Management) 기능을 통해 그 사용을 관리할 수 있다. 다른 MPEG 표준들과 마찬가지로 DMB-AF 표준에 대한 적합성 시험 규정(Conformance)과 참조 소프트웨어(Reference SW)는 표준 본문 제정 이후 진행되어 왔으며, 다른 MPEG 표준과 달리 MPEG-A에 속하는 표준들의 경우, 별도의 표준 문서로 발간되지 않고 해당 표준의 개정판에 추가되도록 되어 있다. 본 논문에서는 2010년 1월 91차 MPEG 회의에서 최종 승인된 DMB-AF 표준개정안에 포함된 적합성 시험 파일과 참조 SW 개발에 대해 설명한다.

The integrated loader/linker plays a very important role in creating all types of information and ensuring information integrity needed for substantial executions by receiving a PE input file, an intermediate representation of a java class file or a .NET environment, thereby allowing for saving information optimized for verification, resolution, initialization, and execution. This paper proposes a loader/linker system for integrating a java class file and .NET-based PE file. As a means of implementing the loader/linker system, a new execution file format(*.evm) and a memory format were designed to save all information of Java class files and .NET-based PE files, and enable the information in those files to be executed in a JVM or .NET environment through the use of saved execution information.

LBS(Location Based Service) and GIS (Geographic Information System) are supporting necessary services for system which provides geographic information using location information based on various platforms. However the mobile computing environments such as PDA system have serious limitations in functional viewpoints compare of general computing environments, it has problems for developing GIS system which is providing various information. In this paper, we suggest the reduced methods of digital map and format of web-linked digital mao in order to fit in mobile environment. As a result of map generation, the total capacity of the supported digital map was diminished about $99.34\%$ than the original map.

A virtual machine is a conceptual computer with a logical system configuration, made of software unlike physical systems made of hardware. Virtual machine technology for embedded systems is a requisite software technology for download solutions such as mobile devices, digital TVs, etc. At present, a research of virtual machines for embedded systems named EVM(Embedded Virtual Machine) is in progress. As a part of the research, we define the EFF(Executable File Format) as a file format for embedded systems. We also prove completeness of EFF by structurally mapping class file widely used to EFF.

MPEG-4 BIFS(Binary Format for Scene) is the format to describe the information of time-spatial location of each visual objects in the scene. This is broadcasting for test through T-DMB in the our country and is able to be converted to various multimedia formats. The DMB receivers used currently are loaded on mobile devices mostly and the supply of the receiver is increasing steadily. These enable various service for convergence of DMB and wireless network to do. Therefore, this paper propose a new method of interactive multimedia authoring tool using wireless network and MPEG-4 BIFS. The proposed method corrects and complements MPEG-4 BIFS and have DMB broadcasting and wireless network co-operate. Also using this method, users can make out contents by themselves and can retransmit them through DMB broadcasting. The proposed method produce interactive multimedia contents reconstructed at user's request.

This paper describes the design and implementation of ODA document formatter with the capability of interchange for the structured multimedia document information between heterogeneous systems. We designed the formatter generating the specific layout structure by the generic about structure and establishing relationship between specific logical/layout structure by interaction of user. For it, we proposed backtracking mechanism and processing rules of layout directive. Especially, we implemented and interactive method as user interface for ease creation of a document due to show user transparently complicated internal of structure.

지상파 DMB가 널리 보급되고, 이를 활용한 재난경보서비스가 시험방송을 준비 중이다. 그러나 검증되지 않은 수신기들이 대량으로 출시되어 BIFS 대란과 같은 문제점도 발생하였다. 재난경보방송은 정확한 정보 전달이 매우 중요하므로, 이와 같은 문제가 발생하지 않도록 하기 위한 '지상파 디지털멀티미디어방송(DMB) 재난경보방송 수신기 표준적합성 시험'을 두고 있다. 이 표준을 분석한 결과 추가되어야 할 시험 방목이 몇 가지 발견되었다. 이 논문에서는 '지상파 디지털멀티미디어방송(DMB) 재난경보방송'의 메시지 포맷을 분석하여 각 필드가 모순되는 경우와, 사용하지 않는 값이라 명시하였으나 시험 항목에 누락된 부분을 파악하여 보충하였다. 이러한 시험 항목을 이용하면 표준을 보완하고, 결함이 더 적은 수신기를 개발하는데 도움이 될 것이다.

MPEG-7 은 멀티미디어 데이터를 XML로 기술한 새로운 표준이다. MPEG-7은 구조 및 의미 정보, 미디어 형식 정보 등과 같은 유용한 기술 및 기술구조들을 제공하며, MPEG-7 시스템에서는 메타데이터의 텍스트인코딩 포맷인 TeM은 기술의 동적 흑은 점진적인 전송을 지원한다. XML 문서의 본래의 기술을 추가적인 XML 헤더가 덧씌워져 여러 개로 나누어질 수 있으며, 이러한 결과로 나온 AU들은 각기 전송을 하여 터미널에서 수신된 AU를 이용한 갱신이 가능하다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 MPEG-7 시스템의 갱신 메커니즘을 이용한 TeM 코덱을 설계 및 구현하였다. 구현된 TeM 코덱의 인코더는 AU 생성에 있어서 시각화된 편집 도구를 제공하며, 디코더는 XSLT 기반의 갱신 기법을 기반으로 하여 구현하였다.

MPEG - IoMT(Internet of Media Things) 는 사물 인터넷 및 웨어러블 환경에서의 효율적인 미디어 서비스 제공을 위한 데이터 포맷 및 API(Application Programming Interface) 표준을 제공하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 MPEG - IoMT 에 채택된 헬스케어(healthcare) 정보 서술 툴에 대한 IoMT 참조 SW 에서의 검증 실험내용을 기술한다. IoMT 는 의료영상 저장/관리 및 통신을 위한 표준인 DICOM (Digital Imaging a nd Communication in Medical)을 기반으로 의료 미디어 정보를 기술하기 위한 Healthcare Information 스키마(schema)와 이를 기반으로 서술된 정보를 IoT 및 웨어러블 환경에서 활용하기 위한 API 표준을 포함하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 IoMT 참조 SW 를 이용하여 헬스케어 스키마에 따른 헬스케어 정보의 생성 및 파싱(parsing) 을 검증하고, 서술정보를 MThing (Media Thing) 들 간의 교환을 위한 API 에 대한 검증 내용을 보인다.

최근 인터넷 상에서는 UCC 붐이 일고 있다. PC상이 아닌 모바일 상에서의 UCC를 지향하며 모바일을 통해 칵테일 관련 동영상을 재생시키는 기술에 대하여 연구하였다. 칵테일에 대한 동영상을 직접 촬영하였으며 동영상 포맷을 모바일 상에서 적합한 형식으로 변환하는 과정을 겪었다. 다운로드 서버를 설계해 모바일 상에서 우리 팀이 촬영한 UCC 동영상을 다운로드 받을 수 있게 시스템을 구현하였다.
