The focus is moving from the problem of building data to the problem of accessing and efficient utilization of data fitting to the purpose of a user. A distributed technology and a standard of geodata and geoprocessing is needed to satisfy these needs. This paper suggests an implementation method of a standard interface defined by OpenGIS with CORBA which is a distributed object technology. A client can invoke Open API of the middleware implemented with CORBA through IIOP. CORBA server objects which provide a client with Open API is the essence of an interoperability. CORBA server objects wrap the data formats and access methods of different GIS engines, and translate the data formats of different data servers to a standard data format.

It is require to design the next generation avionics system while considering applicability under open architecture where standerd communication module is used. In this situation, if the existing schemes cannot guarantee new requirement, new system development is demanded. In this paper, we present design, implementation, and testing procedure for message based middleware to support operational flight program on avionics. System architecture include mission computer (MC) and large area display (LAD) over standard socket communication based on reliable Ethernet. Finally, experimental results demonstrate that the proposed middleware can guarantee real-time with 20msec as well as reliability requirements with no lost packet.

In this paper, we propose a multi-band network selection (MNS) system, which determines and seamlessly connects to the desired available communication band based on user preferences and network environments. The MNS system employs MNS server in the middleware layer which communicates with clients in order to combine and manage heterogeneous networks efficiently. In addition, we define a system architecture and function modules of the MNS system. The MNS system monitors availability in each communication band and updates the network status information table which is applied to determining the best available network. It is expected that the MNS system can be applied to the next generation maritime networks and communication infrastructure of e-navigation.

IT 기술의 발전에 따른 전력 사용량 증가로 인해서 친환경 재생 에너지에 대한 관심이 집중되고 있는 상황으로 다양한 재생 에너지자원 가운데 풍력에너지 개발이 전 세계적으로 급속히 증가하고 있다. 그러나 풍력발전기를 제어하는 제어기의 소프트웨어·하드웨어적인 문제로 인해 불규칙한 에너지 생산과 유지보수를 위한 비용이 증가함에 따라 최근에는 풍력제어기의 고장분석 및 고장 감내 제어에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있는 상황이다. 본 논문에서는 이와 같은 풍력발전기가 지속적으로 일정한 에너지 생산과 유지보수 절감이 가능하도록 하기 위해 풍력제어시스템 차원에서의 고장에 대해서 감내 가능한 고가용성의 미들웨어에 대한 구조를 제안한다. 풍력제어시스템의 고 가용성 미들웨어는 가상 운영체제를 기반으로 이중화 구조를 가지고 있으며, 주 운영체제에서 소프트웨어적인 고장이 발생 시 다음 우선순위의 가상 운영체제에서 지속적인 서비스를 제공할 수 있도록 각각의 가상 운영체제 환경을 관리한다.

에너지사업에의 경쟁원리 도입에 수반하여 전력회사와 가스회사 등 공익기업들은 수용가에 대한 부가가치서비스를 향상시키는 것이 급선무가 되고 있다. 또 요즘 들어서는 IT(정보기술) 응용분야의 급속한 보급으로 공익기업이 수행하는 수용가 서비스에도 그것을 적용하여 부가가치가 큰 서비스를 저코스트로 광범위하게 제공하는 것이 가능하게 되었다. 미쓰비시전기에서도 공익기업이 실시하는 수용가 서비스용으로 여러 가지 소프트웨어와 하드웨어기술을 개발하고 있다. IT이용에 의한 부가가치서비스를 제공하기 위해서는 각 수용가에 설치되는 수용가서버나 가정에서의 통신을 위한 전등선 반송기술 외에 광역계통 통신인프라로서의 통신회선, 그리고 광역계통 네트워크미들웨어, 서비스를 제공하기 위한 서비스관리센터, 각종 어플리케이션소프트웨어 등 광범위한 제품군이 필요하게 된다. 본고에서는 수용가 서비스사업 전개의 배경, 수용가 서비스시스템의 개요 및 이용되는 각종 요소기술에 대하여 기술함과 동시에 시코쿠전력이 추진하는 신네트워크사업에의 적용사례에 대하여 기술한다.

As web based software has developed recently, service via web has increased gradually. For this, many research organizations and reports call web is the platform of software. While web based technologies have developed, middleware of WSN and its application service has been developed from desktop based operation system. So WSN's technology reached uppermost limit of desktop application. There's difficulty in integrating, distributing and maintaining & repairing for WSN due to a tightly-coupled structure which's related closely to the hardware of sensor nod. Unlike this, web has a loosely-coupled structure and an opened system, so web service or Rich internet application (RIA) is helpful to solve the above limits. Especially, RIA is web application but can be the platform of WSN' application because it gives us various methods to communicate with user interface similar to desktop application. In this study, I suggest Message System for WSN Using RIA, expanding WSN's interconnectedness and accessibility to internet.

This paper presents a method of constructing telematics terminal embedded architecture for DMB TPEG data service The proposed embedded architecture was designed for terminal. Also, we use WIPI which was used for standard based on mobile middle-ware, and TPEG decoding which was used for Window CE. We can see the advantage compare with previous methods.

액티브 RFID를 기반으로 실시간 위치정보 서비스를 구현하는 모델인 RTLS는 보안, 의료, 건설, 항공, 항만, 운송, 국방, 교통, 레저 등 실시간 위치정보가 필요한 분야에 효과적으로 활용되고 있다. 이 논문에서는 RTLS 응용 시스템을 위한 지능형 위치정보 관리시스템을 제안한다. 제안 시스템은 일반적인 데이터 관리의 기능 이외에도 상황인식 시스템에서 사용되는 규칙기반 미들웨어 Jess(Java expert system shell)를 활용하는 구조를 가진다. 규칙을 이용한 추론 기능을 도입함으로써 응용 시스템의 정확성을 높일 수 있는 특징을 가진다.

High Level Architecture (HLA)는 이기종 시뮬레이터 간의 연동을 위한 미들웨어이다. 본 논문에서는 Discrete Event System Specification (DEVS) 형식론을 바탕으로 한 DEVS 모델의 시뮬레이션을 HLA 기반에서 수행하는 방법에 대하여 제시한다. DEVS 시뮬레이션 메시지를 HLA의 서비스를 사용하여 변환하여 기존의 시뮬레이션 알고리즘을 그대로 사용하여 분산 시뮬레이션 할 수 있는 방식에 대하여 기술한다. 또한 모델 사이의 연결 정보를 HLA 환경에서 이용하는 방식에 대하여 기술한다. 제안된 방식을 구현한 DEVSimHLA 시뮬레이션 환경의 구조 및 동작 방식에 대하여 알아보고 이를 이용한 간단한 예제를 보인다.
