We report an unrecorded species of Viburnum, V. japonicum (Thunb.) Sprengel, found in Gageo-do Island, a subtropical zone in Jeollanam-do Province. We named a species Foo-reun-ga-mak-sal. It is easily distinguishable from other recorded species of Viburnum by the characteristics such as exposed winter buds and indeciduous leaves with lustrous and glabrous texture.

Three unrecorded species, Carex chungii Z. P. Wang, C. tsushimensis (Ohwi) Ohwi, C. multifolia Ohwi were found in Korea. C. chungii Z. P. Wang was found in Is. Wan and Is. Geogeum, Jeollanam-do and Namhae, Gyeongsangnam-do. This species is distinguished from C. leuchoclora Bunge by achenes constricted above in the middle. C. tsushimensis (Ohwi) Ohwi was found in Is. Gageo, Sinan, Jeollanam-do. This species is distinguished from C. conica Boott by pistillate scales with a long arista. C. multifolia Ohwi was found in Haenam, Jeollanam-do. This species is distinguished from C. sachalinensis var. sikokiana (Franch. & Sav.) Ohwi by caespitose and leaf of light gray. We provide here their description, illustration, photographs and the key of related species.

Four unrecorded species (Barbella flagellifera, Isothecium hakkodense, Mnium orientale and Fissidens gardneri) and with one unrecorded genus, Barbella, are reported new to the Korean moss flora. B. flagellifera (Meteoriaceae) was found on a tree at alt. 300-350 m of parasitic Seogeomun-oreum Volcano on Jeju Island. The species are mainly distributed in subtropic regions. I. hakkodense (Lembophyllaceae) was found around the top of Seongin-bong on Ulleung Island. This species is similar to I. subdiversiforme, however, it can be distinguished by the morphologies of branch leaves and alar cells. M. orientale (Mniaceae) was collected from Mt. Jiri. This is similar to M. heterophyllum, however, it can be distinguished by plant size, number of teeth in leaf margin and cell size on leaf. F. gardneri (Fissidentaceae) was found along the valley of Mt. Palyeong, Jeollanam Province. This species is similar to F. obscurirete, but distinguished by the size of the plants and their leaves as well as the costal lengths of the leaves.

An unrecorded species, Carex benkei T. Shimizu, was found in Is. Jaewondo, Jaewon-ri, Imja-myeon, Sinan-gun, Jeollanam-do and Dongbaik-dongsan, Seonheul-ri, Jocheon-eup, Jeju-si, Is. Jeju-do, South Korea. C. benkei is closely related to C. transversa Boott and C. brownii Tuck., and C. benkei is distingushied from the pistillate scales length, excluding the awn, similar to the achene and the beak of the achene with an annular appendage. A new Korean name, 'Gin-Hwa-Sal-Sa-Cho', was given based on its long pistillate scales excluding the awn compared with Carex transversa Boott. We provide here its redescription, illustrations, photographs, and a key to species of the sect. Confertiflorae Franch. ex Ohwi.

Two unrecorded alien plants, Pilea microphylla (L.) Liebm. (Urticaceae) and Elsholtzia griffithii Hook. f. (Lamiaceae), were found in Korea. P. microphylla was discovered in Seoul-si and Jeju-do. This species is distinguished from other related Korean taxa by leaf characteristics such as spatulate or obovate shape and 2-7 mm long with entire margin. E. griffithii was discovered in Incheon-si. This species is defined by spikes, narrowly lanceolate bract with 3 mm long and relatively shorter corolla length as ca 2.5 mm. Here, we provide Korean name, descriptions of the morphological characteristics, photographs and a key to allied taxa.

Flesh fungi were collected during field trips to mountain areas throughout the country from May to October of 1994. Through the observation and identification of specimens belonging to the Aphyllophorales, one genus, Tylospora, and six species, Athelia fibulata, Hypochnicium punctulatum, Tylospora fibrillosa, Stereum ochraceo-flavum, Steccherinum litschaueri, and Oligoporus undosus were confirmed new to Korea and are registered here with descriptions.

A total of ten unrecorded liverwort species in the Hepaticae flora of Korea were collected on Mt. Deogyu (1,614 m). The ten species are Tetralophozia filiformis (Steph.) Urmi., Herbertus buchii $Jusl{\acute{e}n$, Bazzania japonica (Sande Lac.) Lindb., Cephaloziella hampeana (Nees) Schiffner ex Loeske., Jungermannia japonica Amak., Marsupella alpina (Gott. ex Husn.) Bernet., Pedinophyllum interruptum (Nees) Kaal., Frullania polyptera Tayl., Jubula hutchinsiae ssp. javanica (Steph.) Verd., and Marchantia polymorpha ssp. montivagans Bischl. and Boisselier-Dubayle. They are distributed near streams and/or at the top of a ridge on Mt. Deogyu.

One nesticid spider, Nesticella mogera (Yaginuma, 1972), collected from a paddy field is reported for the first time from Korea. The species is closely allied to Nesticella brevipes (Yaginuma, 1970), but is characterized by its male paracymbium and female epigynal scape.

An unrecorded species in Korean flora, Hydrangea luteovenosa Koidz. (Hydrangeaceae) was collected from parasitic cone, Seongneol-orom region of Mt. Halla in Prov. Jeju-do. This species is readily distinguishable from H serrata (Thunb.) Ser. and H. petiolaris Siebold & Zucc. in Korea by habit, length and width of leaves, length of petiole, morphology of petals and leaf margins, position of ovary, number of stamens and secondary veins.

A newly recorded species, Fimbristylis hookeriana Boeckeler, was found in Gyema-ri, Hongnongeup, Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do and Munyeo-do Is., Gunsan-si, Jeollabuk-do, Korea. Fimbristylis hookeriana is closely related to F. dichotoma, which has ovoid spikelets, deciduous scales, pubescent culms, and short style. However, this species is distinguished by very narrowly ovoid spikelets, persistent scales, glabrous culms, and long style. We propose a new Korean name, 'Ba-Wi-Ha-Neul-Ji-Gi', meaning that this inhabits on dried rocks near seashore. Redescription, illustrations, photographs, table, and a key to species of the Fimbristylis Vahl in Korea are provided.
