A Study on Distribution Status and Economic Analysis of Packed Radish in Domestic Markets (국내산 무의 유통 및 포장상자의 경제성)

  • Distribution status and economic analysis of packed radish in Korean markets(Chunbuk and Kangwon in producing area and Taebaek, Kyunggi, and Cheongyang for comparing tile quality) from November, 1999 to April, 2000 was surveyed. Distribution method and marketing of radish was different by producing areas and shipping methods. Quality of radish in the areas had a great difference, and especially standard deviation of volume of radish of Taebaek was highest. The packaging of radish was almost not, and in case of pack, corrugated paperboard was used as packaging material of outer packages. Non-packed radish in economic analysis was more economic than packed radish.

The Value of Time in Intercity Freight Transportation (지역간 화물운송의 시간가치 추정)

  • The value of time in freight transportation describes the importance of goods during transport and shows the direction of efficient logistic management having inventory cost in transporting The value of time differs from class to class in freight transportation. It is due to the differences of shipper's willingness to Pay for time saving. In this research the value of time in intercity freight transportation of manufacturers in Korea was estimated as follows: first, the Perception factors which were the important criteria of shippers for choosing truck were sampled. second, the shippers were classified into three homogeneous classes. third, the value of time of each class was estimated by using multinominal logit model. The results of this research showed that the value of time in freight transportation was different from every class, that the shipper had to Pay 1,680 won for saving one hour Per each shipment, and that the inventory cost in transporting occupied 9.54% in the mean freight Price.

  • A development proposal that maximizes the trend of travel souvenir and articles toward tourism and natural resources through utilization of the Limited Production method was the focus of the present research. First, the flaws of travel souvenir and articles, currently produced in Inje, Kangwon-Do, were identified, as were the regional uniqueness of the area. The comparative advantages of developmental conditions of the above-specified region to various other Si/Kun regions were demonstrated to ascertain the optimal production method of travel souvenir and articles. The results are as follows. Superior supply of,7aw materials necessary for production of wood-worked travel souvenir and articles are abundantly available and the dose proximity of 17 existing workshops self-contain the production capacity to sustain the Limited Production method. Furthermore, the regional governing council conveyed positive attitudes towards the prospect of creating a regional production complex of wood-worked travel souvenir and articles. The results demonstrate that the optimal method of maximizing the trend of travel souvenir and articles toward tourism and natural resources is achieved through systematic collaboration of industry, education, and tourism that promote development, production, and merchandising of Inje's regional travel souvenir and articles.

  • As international trade has been increased, the competition of major ports is getting hard. The objective of this competition is that to get more cargoes, so port managements and operators are struggling to obtain cargoes. In addition the competition structure has classified several forms bemuse of specialization, integration and subdivision of port players. In this paper, therefore, we analyze the change of competition structure by port players' development characteristics. In the result of this study, competition structure is divided into five groups as among nations, among ports, among container terminal operation companies, among global container terminal operation companies and among container terminal operation companies operated by shipping companies. And they have showed not only competition but also co-operation partly in order to get strategic position.

  • The inventory location is the mos important factor which decide the efficiency of picking orders. According to the inventory location, it is possible to optimize the route for picking order, and then it makes us to expect the cost reduction and efficiency improvement. However, it is practical situation to make decisions where to keep the products based on manager's intuition and experience, not based on the systematical or analytical approach. In this research, with the practical order data of cropper product and layout for the storage yard, the association rules have found, and then the new methodology has been devised to make the decision where to keep the inventory. By utilizing the practical order data for a year, it has been proved that the proposed approach can reduce the total distance of the all routes for picking order and solve the problem of delayed delivery.

  • The ongoing development of Distriparks, the increase in workers inside the warehouses, and the growth in traffic volume have shifted the attention of the many D.C. operators on how to utilize their warehouse spaces more profitably and economically. A total of 550 cars and trucks are illegally parked at the distribution centers everyday. To meet these challenges, port authorities are looking closely at how they can establish effective countermeasures to solve this problem and satisfy customers of the Distripark. In order to answer these questions, this article sought to identity and analyze the current status of the illegal parking issues and main causes of that phenomena. In addition to summarizing an actual outcomes of the illegal parking problems, the research also examines the legal and practical countermeasures of this issues. Finally this research tries to find future solutions for ports in the Distripark development process, with particular reference to the legal and managerial aspects.

  • The term "articles for ship" is a general term for all relevant mechanical accessories (SPARE) and consumable materials (STORE) commonly used in ships. Ships commonly are at sea, so it is difficult to respond rapidly to the demand for them in an emergency situation. In particular, it is more difficult to determine the boarding location of tramper ships as it is more difficult to predict the next sailing route in advance. The purpose of this study was to identify the important factors to be considered in determining the boarding location of tramper ships through a survey of each ship owner and ship management company. This valuable information on the proposed supply procedures for each country and port, would be an efficient way to supply articles for ships.

  • Various application systems are developed using RFID as a part of ubiquitous computing, and it is expected that RFID chip will become wide-spread for the distribution industry especially. Efficient and efact intelligent-type of warehouse management system is essential for small-to-medium-sized enterprises in the situation having a trouble in the viewpoint of expense and manpower. In this paper, we implement small-scale warehouse management system using log-based context awareness technology. This system is implemented to be controlled on web, configuring clients to control RFID readers and building up DBMS system in a server. Especially, it grasps user's intention of storing or delivering based on toE data for the history of user's access to the system and it reports user's irregular pattern of warehouse use and serves predictive information of the control of goods in stock. As a result, the proposed system can contribute to enhance efficiency and correctness of small-scale warehouse management.

  • Most companies in automobile part industry need a SCM (Supply Chain Management) system under the cooperation with suppliers for assembling a automobile. Automobile part industry has a industry feature of hierarchical structure like 1st, 2nd, 3rd vendors. Recently, new cases to implement RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology appear in various areas required for integrated information system. Especially, supply chain environment in automobile part industry turns toward ubiquitous computing environment. Most companies in automobile part industry are interested in implementing RFID-based supply chain management system, which makes them shorten the business process, share the transaction information, and enhance the collaborative relationship between trading partners. This paper intends to implement RFID technology in the physical distribution area of automobile part industry such as warehousing, delivering, inventory management. The purpose of this paper is to improve the collaborative relationship of supply chain network using RFID applied to u-SCM system in ubiquitous computing environment. The contribution of this paper is to suggest a new system approach to transform existing business process into new business process through designing and implementing a RFID based SCM system using UML techniques.

경남 항공우주산업 클러스터 구축의 타당성분석과 발전전략

  • 항공우주산업은 생산유발효과가 높고 고용창출도 높을 뿐만 아니라 부가가치산업이나, 대규모적 투자에 따른 투자 위험과 기술적 위험이 높아 정부차원에서의 개입이 불가피한 산업으로 인식된다. 최근 항공우주산업에 대한 정부의 지원 형태는 클러스터 조성, 지방세 감면, 토지 임대를 통한 기업지원 등 과거에 비해 더욱 다양한 형태로 발전되고 있다. 이와 같은 정부지원 형태의 다양성은 기존의 전통적 방식에 의한 지원으로는 글로벌 경쟁이 치열해지는 국제경쟁에서 경쟁력 우위를 유지하기 어렵다는 것을 반증하는 것이라고 할 수 있다. 특히 기존의 산업 중심의 정부지원 전략에서 기업중심의 정부지원 전략으로의 선회 경향은 산업의 주체는 기업이기 때문에 기업의 전체적 역량에 의한 경쟁우위가 글로벌 경쟁에서 보다 중요하다는 점을 시사하고 있다. 경남의 항공우주산업 클러스터 조성 여건은 인프라 구축면에서 여타 지역에 비해 매우 우수한 하부 기반을 구축하고 있어 클러스터 구축에 따른 효율성과 국제경쟁력 확보 가능성이 높다고 할 수 있다. 먼저, 클러스터 구축의 핵심이 되는 핵심선도기업인 KAI가 15년 전부터 대상지역에서 생산활동 중이며, 교육 및 훈련 기능도 비교적 풍부할 뿐만 아니라 공항도 인접해 있어 신속한 물류 및 정보공유, 해외시장과의 접근성이 높다고 할 수 있다. 결론적으로 볼 때, 경남지역의 항공우주산업 클러스터 구축의 타당성은 높다고 할 수 있다. 특히 현재의 항공우주산업 발전 단계상으로 볼 때, 부품산업의 발전이 긴요한 과제이므로 동 클러스터는 항공우주 부품 수출중심의 핵심 거점 클러스터로의 조성할 필요성이 높다고 할 수 있다. 이와 같은 클러스터 조성에 따른 경남 항공우주 클러스터의 운영체계는 “항공우주산업 혁신 클러스터 추진단”을 중심으로 입주 업체, 항공우주 수출 지원단, 관련 R&D 기관 및 교육기관 등이 긴밀하게 연계 되어 운영되어야 할 것이다. 이외에도 중앙정부와의 협의 및 관련 단체들과의 연계를 통해 클러스터의 효율성과 경쟁력 제고를 위한 활동을 적극 추진해야 할 것이다.
