This study presented practical directions for logistics network unification services, storage and shipment automation in order to prepare advanced strategies for warehouse management systems(WMS) of e-trade using network technology. The WMS technology using UPnP network will be a new paradigm in logistics and distribution. To meet desires of our society and develop successful unified logistics services, what is proposed in this study should be properly performed and it is important to have proper attitude to deal with new changes. Therefore, this study aims to present a base for interpretation of WMS using UPnP network rather than its technological directions.

This study attempts to represent schemes to cope with the challenge of internet-based e-commerce. There are unexpectable changes in the international Logistics industry. First, Bolero project is introduced to exchange trade documents and data via the internet. It acts as a neutral third party to ensure secure delivery and receipt of information and provides a legal framework. Secondly a number of leading International logistics companies and constituent members have made an effort to establish the portal site to connect the constituent members concerning by the same cyber environment. This study reviews the current status on this trend and points out a number of issues originated from the trend and represents the way of globalization in the international logistics industry.

현재 무한경쟁의 시장환경 속에서 기업자체만으로 어려움을 감내하기란 많은 문제를 갖고있다. 그래서 기업은 물류활동을 전문적으로 담당하는 훌륭한 파트너를 통하여 이 문제를 해결하고 있으며 이전의 수직적 업무관행을 넘어선 동반자적인 파트너로써의 제 3 자 물류(TPL : Third Part Logistics : 이후 TPL로 표기함)를 활용하고 있다. 파트너관계는 이전에도 중요한 기업 전략이었으나 인터넷과 수많은 정보기술의 보급을 통한 전자상거래의 도래로 기업은 신속하고 정확하게 시장과 고객의 요구와 니즈를 만족시킬 수 있는 선도기술개발과 서비스제공능력이 기업의 핵심역량으로써 중요하게 되었다. 그래서 이러한 역량과 유연성을 갖춘 파트너와의 전략적관계형성과 관리를 할 수 있는 체계적인 파트너관계업무프로세스가 필요하게 되었다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 TPL 기업에서 유연한 공급사슬파트너관계구축과 관리를 가능하게 하고 고객요구를 대처할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 미래의 고객요구를 예측가능 할 수 있는 방안으로 e-PRM 모델을 제시하고자 한다.

Recently, the logistics industry in Asia is growing rapidly mostly with Chinese economic development. A variety of studies have been carried out to reduce the logistic cost under the situation that the global freight traffic continues to increasing. The Short Sea Shipping(SSS) system, a multi modal transport system centered around coastal shipping to realize high value-added logistics, achieved considerable success in EU. To implement the SSS system in Korea, it is necessary to develop the various essential technologies related to development of efficient ships and port facilities, including equipment for loading and unloading containers, operating and managing systems for freight terminals and technologies for tracking and securing containers. The present paper focuses on the survey of the current essential technologies available for implementation of the SSS system and suggests the direction of future development in the technologies.

RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) is appearing by point technology by Ubiquitous environment of new paradigm and Logistics' application But, RFID chip of this is high price and short bandwidth, low power and interference etc. can become technological problem This is getting into obstacle in common use. Reader and tag, Embedded software etc.. that are accomplishing standardization are imported paying most expensive royalty. This paper deals with a RFID cognition system that use PDA under ubiquitous environment to apply to Logistics system A RFID cognition system processes input/output of fundamental information attaching a tag onto products. And a RFID cognition system supports quick, correct and sqfe synthetic Logistics managerial system through construction of database. This can minimize logistics costs and improve the quality of customer service. A RFID cognition system has advantage that can widen range of application to area that cognition system of existent fixing style can not do. Also, it can expect economical effect through inexpensive system construction.

In order to promote e-business in port-logistics area, many studies have been conducted since then However, despite those studies related to e-business in this area, prominent achievements have not been presented, and moreover, research in academic side has been very rare, comparing to that cf practical side. In this paper, we focus on factors affecting adoption of e-business in the field of port-logistics industry. The purpose of this study is to find the factors which affect adoption of e-business in port logistics industry, and establish its structure, based on a cognitive modeling. To achieve the aim of this research, we framed a cognitive map with empirical data collected from port-logistics firms. And from the results of analysis, some critical points for successful adoption cf e-business in port-logistics industry were suggested.

The existing subjects of supply chain management, which link business firms to customers, have focused on forward logistics such as acquisition of low and subsidiary parts, manufacturing, distribution and sales. Consequently, it is emphasized that supply chain management has to be a sustainable business activity. Nevertheless, capabilities of reverse supply chain management for domestic companies are still relatively limited compared to advanced foreign companies. For this reason, this study aims to develop the service platform, which provides information on return, retrieval, abolish and recycling using RFID, includes information on packing, placement, loading and unloading and transportation of the goods. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, the research previous studies and analyze achieved diverse cases on reverse logistics, review the present state, and propose service platform application to manage reverse supply chain which will be applied.

This study is conducted to find out the problems of the public food waste recycling facility operation and its improvement. In order to save the national budget by analyzing plans to expand including operation rate for the food waste recycling facility, the alternative ways are suggested. The result can be as follows: Policy switch is required not only to save budget and stable disposal of food waste but also to promote resource recycling rather than expanding public facilities. In order to change the policy for stable and eco-friendly disposal of food waste, it is necessary to adopt semipublic system that prevent the decline of the rate of operation of private resource recycling facility. Furthermore, it is required to prepare both qualified technologies of public resource recycling and the ways of profitability secure.

According to the demand for services. a single point contract between a user and provider spreads over the industry, and the relationship between them is a main issue. The user wants to make a deal with the contributor which can provide the effective services to the user. This study is to estimate the efficiency of global logistics industry with Data Envelopment Analysis, by nations from 2001 to 2005. Furthermore, it tries to estimate the inefficiency affected by macro factors, and proves the association between them using Tobit model. Global logistics industry has made growth both externally and internally more than doubled for the last 5years. Technical inefficiency of global logistics industry is more influenced by pure technical inefficiency than inefficiency of scale. Therefore technical efficiency can be increased by decreasing pure technical inefficiency. Through this study, it found that the logistics industry got influenced to its efficiency by high price of oil, and courier and transportation service market is formed stably. Furthermore, it advocates policy planners to consider effectiveness and clearness of policy which influence to inefficiency of logistics industry. Also, it found that labor and financial support can give critical effect.

Bar-code based airway logistics systems have many problems like freight loss and data management error due to semiskilled air-cargo process and individual information system. To solve these problems, this paper analyzed how to process an air-cargo practically and designed and implemented the RFID-based airway logistics system. This system has an information service system which manages data from RFID systems in realtime and provides a communication interface for data sharing. And, this system precesses data queries from capture applications and access applications to provide various services to users such as the freight track and trace service. Also, this system includes a H/H reader agent to integrate existing bar-cord systems. It allows us to realize automation and information-oriented air-cargo process and achieve improvement of air-cargo services with reduction of freight loss and management error.
