  • Advertisement is a creation. However, it is not a sort of self-sufficient creation as can be found in the fine arts that start from and end with an artist's personal sense but an inter-subjective creation formed from the dose relationship between the inner senses of other persons as social factor and the meanings of symbols. In this respect, how to systematically express the cultural aspects seen from the convergence of 'words' and ‘images' that are coexisting within the ads expression depends on the inter-subjective mutual sensitivity between ads creator and consumer. Therefore, it is assumed that the quality of impact the ads expression has is not a personal sense of ads creator based on a consumer survey but an intuitive judgement made by both of them who share their lifestyles. In conclusion, the finding of the quality of impact of ads expression through the lifestyle of ads creator is to make sure that, by directly applying the lifestyle exposed from within the prerequisites of customer to that of ads creator, the inter-subjective ads creation needs to be formulated.

The Study on the Effect of Cultural Difference on Overseas Travel Market: A Comparison among Korea, China, U.S. and Japan (문화차이가 해외여행 시장에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구: 한·중·미·일 비교를 중심으로)

  • This study analyzed valid samples of 707 units collected by conducting paper and online surveys on the Korean, the Chinese, the American, and the Japanese. The result showed that a significant causal relationship exists between power distance and pull motivation as well as collectivism and push motivation, which led to a conclusion that developing travel packages that can strengthen bonding of fraternal societies through various events and attractions is effective for respondents from Asian countries. On the other hand, Americans turned out to prefer practical plans, which could provide individual's needs and preferences, for example, a self-healing package. This study, using a simple survey, may have a limitation in that it does not allow the participants to express their opinions. However, the study is meaningful that it made a theoretical contribution utilizing Hofstede's cultural dimensions index, two types of motivation, and theories of customer satisfaction and revisit intention. It also has a practical implication in that it proposes the most optimal and applicable overseas travel marketing strategy by comparing cultural traits of each country.

Developing Expert System for Recovering the Original Form of Ancient Relics Based on Computer Graphics and Image Processing (컴퓨터 그래픽스 및 영상처리를 이용한 문화 원형 복원 전문가시스템 개발)

  • We propose a new expert system for recovering the broken fragments of relics into an original form using computer graphics and image processing. This paper presents a system with an application to tombstones objects of flat plane with letters carved in for assembling the fragments by placing their respective fragments in the right position. The matching process contains three sub-processes: aligning the front and letters of an object, identifying the matching directions, and determining the detailed matching positions. We apply least squares fitting, vector inner product, and geometric and RGB errors to the matching process. It turned out that 2-D translations via fragments-alignment enable us to save the computational load significantly. Based on experimental results from the damaged cultural fragments, the performance of the proposed method is illustrated.

  • This study examined the impact of self-directed learning on job satisfaction, organizational commitment. Also, it verified moderating effects of organizational culture(centralization, decentralization) in the era of global competition. The results of this study are as followings: 1) self-directed learning(acceptance of responsibility for learning) is positively related to job satisfaction, organizational commitment, respectively. 2) centralization moderated on the relationship between self-directed learning(acceptance of responsibility for learning, self-confidence as a learner, future orientation) and organizational commitment. 3) decentralization moderated on the relationship between self-directed learning(future orientation) and organizational commitment. We discussed the implications of these of findings for both theory and practice.

  • Due to the increase of the Broadband Networks and Internet users culture contents in Virtual Environment such as education entertainment and culture are constantly demanded with respect to usability and effectiveness. Mostly existing virtual amusement land$ tend to retain limitations and shortcomings caused by two dimensional interface. This facts may have users directly search amusement facilities themselves resulting in lots of inconvenience. In the work here, a virtual amusement land led by 3D characters is presented. The interactive contents which users can actively participate in is developed.

  • We reconstruct 3D surface from range image that consists of range map and texture map, and simplify the reconstructed triangular mesh. In this paper, we introduce fast simplification method that is able to glue texture to 3D surface model and adapt to real-time multipled level-of detail. We will verify the efficiency by applying to the scanned data of Korean relics.

어린이 안전을 위한 민.관차원의 지원대책 및 검토과제 제언

  • 화재 등 재난으로부터의 어린이 안전관리를 기존의 담당기관과 관계자들에게만 맡겨놓고 있을 수는 없다. 국민 각자가 일상 속에서 안전에 대한 의식과 지식, 그리고 정보를 습득하고 유사시에 대응할 수 있도록 안전관리를 체질화하고 생활화해야 한다. 이를 위해 민과 관이 함께 해야 할 활동이 교육 홍보의 차원에서 무엇이 있는지 구체적이고 면밀히 조사연구 하길 바라며 그에 따른 후속 프로그램의 개발 또한 중요하다. 안전문화의 형성을 위한 제대로 된 교육시스템 마련이 중요하다. 관련 교과과정에 안전교육을 의무화하고 집체교육이 가능한 장소에서의 소방.재난 관련 체험 위주의 프로그램을 마련해야 한다. 특히 안전 불감증의 문제는 우리나라만의 문제가 아니다. 다만 '지속성' 과 '계속성' 에 차이가 있을 뿐이다. 우리나라도 '전 생애적 안전관련 프로그램' 을 마련하여 어릴 때부터 조기에 체험할 수 있도록 프로그램을 구성해야 할 것이다. 이와 관련한 관점에서 어린이 안전관련 부처별 업무현황과 추진상황 등을 분석하고 미국 등 선진외국의 어린이 안전사고 방지를 위한 안전교육제도 및 시스템 등의 소개를 통하여 앞으로 민.관 차원에서 현실적인 문제점을 개선할 수 있는 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

  • 컴퓨터그래픽의 급격한 기술 발달과 사용자 층의 다양한 멀티미디어 정보에 대한 요구로 기존의 단순한 2차원 영상 정보는 점차 3차원 정보로 표현되어가고 있고, 사용자의 예술 및 개인 문화에 대한 관심도가 높아지면서 독특한 자신만의 개성을 표현할 수 있는 아바타, 캐리커처와 같은 표현매체에 대한 욕구가 증가하고 있다. 그러나 기존의 펜이나 화필로 그리는 케리커쳐는 예술성, 정교함 그리고 자신만의 독특한 특징적인 개성을 표현 할 수 있는 장점이 있으나 장소, 시간, 인원 등에서 응용성과 확장성이 제한 될 수밖에 없고, 이에 따른 제작비용이나 소요 시간, 노력 등이 많이 소요된다. 본 논문에서는 기존에 수동으로 이루어지고 있는 캐리커쳐를 한 장의 정면 얼굴 이미지를 이용하여 3차원 얼굴 모델을 생성하고, 각 얼굴 영역의 특징 요소를 스플라인으로 표현하여 스플라인의 제어선과 제어점을 조정하여 자동으로 캐리커쳐를 생성하는 시스템을 개발하는데 목적이 있다.

Effects of Organizational Culture on Social Capital in Social Welfare Organizations (사회복지기관의 조직문화가 사회자본에 미치는 영향)

  • Prior research has shown empirically that organizational culture and social capital are as a critical factor determining organizational effectiveness. The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of social welfare's organizational culture on the social capital. For the research, social capital was consisted of trust, norms and network, and organizational culture was measured by Kimberly & Quinn's competing value model. The results of this study were summarized as follows: Mean analyses showed that social workers perceived the level of organizational culture and social capital had a higher than medium. Especially, group culture had a strong positive effects on the social capital. This study finally discussed theoretical implications for future study and practical implications for social capital strategies on the results.
