The Case of Fusion-based Education Game for Game Design (게임 디자인을 위한 융합 기반의 교육용 게임 접근 사례)

  • Recently, to make game gotten out of negative perception of game addiction and gradually established as an immersion-centric and ositive and new game culture of the digital era from a culture perspective, the necessity of development of game composed of various materials has been emerging. In other words, the important part to make the environment of game industry which is growing into a higher value-added business expanded in a short space of time as the base culture together with the public in cultural aspects is the development of game material which enables more various objects to approach besides the development of material focused on profit. Above all things, it is the easily accessible material through fusion sith the diverse contents by using elements of interaction, function, system which game itself has. In this connection, this study suggested design approach process ti fuse the material of positive function into game and also proposed the development case ay each level.

  • 1920년 종로도서관을 시작으로 서울특별시교육청 소속 공공도서관(평생학습관 포함)의 역사는 어언 90여년이 흘렀다. 그간 양적으로나 질적으로 많은 발전을 거듭하였고, 시설, 환경 등 하드웨어적으로나 업무, 이용, 프로그램 등 소프트웨어적으로 과거보다는 효율성, 편의성, 다양성, 복잡성 등이 높아졌다. 또한 과거 관료적 모습도 많이 사라지고 모든 부문에 있어서 이용자 중심으로 변모되었다. 자료조직, 대출 및 열람, 이용자서비스 등 도서관 운영에 있어서도 사회 전반적 발전 및 정보화와 더불어 모든 면에서 격세지감을 느낄 정도로 큰 변화를 가져왔다. 여기에서는 서울특별시교육청 소속 공공도서관 및 평생학습관의 변천 중 자료조직과 이용 부문에 대하여 현재와는 많이 달랐던 그 때 그 시절에 대한 기억들을 더듬어 보고자 한다.

  • In Information age, information problems are continuously differentiated either in individual or in social domain. The danger of reality lost is also day by day increased by digital media and the changes happen at too fast pace. Form the dialect point of view, the education of information literacy is a very important cultural media to arbitrate the conflict between the reasonable solution of the individual information problem and the social information problem. This study is an attempt to discuss the macroscopic initiative of educational system and Information ethics on the basis of the dialectic interpretation of the cultural discourse of the information literacy.

  • Since laboratory Staff in public institution work in facilities that handle chemicals, they have high access to chemicals and a high probability of direct exposure, so they have a risk of safety accidents. At the laboratory scale, the amount of chemicals handled is small, but the importance of safety is very high because the types of chemicals handled are diverse. Therefore, in this study, through a survey, the safety status and level of safety awareness of laboratory workers in public institutions were investigated and studied. The composition of the survey was a survey on the actual condition of safety education, awareness of safety accidents, and measures to improve the effectiveness of safety education, and suggest ways to improve the effectiveness of safety education based on this.

강원도 영월지역의 지질다양성과 활용

  • 지구상의 광물, 암석, 화석 그리고 지질구조, 지형 등의 개개의 지형 지질학적 요소의 특성과 다른 대상과의 상호관계를 지질다양성이라고 한다. 지질다양성은 지형 지질에 내재되어 있는 본질적, 문화적, 심미적, 경제적, 기능적, 연구 및 교육적 가치를 이해하고 보전함으로써 유지 할 수 있다. 이 연구는 지질다양성에 대한 흥미와 이해를 높이기 위해 학술적 보전 가치가 있는 강원도 영월지역을 선정하여 그 특징을 분석하고 지질다양성을 효율적으로 활용하는 방안을 제언하고자 한다. 강원도 영월지역의 지질다양성에 대한 조사는 지형경관 자원과 지질특성의 희소성, 대표성, 학문적 가치 및 활용가치에 중점을 두고 전문가와 협의하여 보존가치가 있고 지리적으로 접근하기 편리한 노두 8곳을 선별하였다. 선별된 8곳의 노두는 고생대의 암석과 지층, 뚜렷한 퇴적구조, 화석, 규모가 크고 전형적인 하천지형이 나타나는 곳으로 지질유산(지형 지질)의 내재적 가치와 지구과학적 이해를 도울 수 있는 대상지이다. 대상지의 지질다양성에 대한 조사를 토대로 야외 지질학습장과 지질공원 및 지질명소, 과학적 특별흥미지역 등을 개발하여 제공함으로써 지형 지질에 대한 자기주도적 학습 능력 신장과 지구과학에 대한 흥미와 이해를 증진시키는 장을 마련해 줄 수 있을 것이다. 또한 과학적 가치와 더불어 사회적, 문화적 가치를 부여하여 보전함으로써 지질유산(지형 지질)에 대한 새로운 시각이 생길 것이다.

A Development of Design Education Program Based on Local Cultural Contents to Promote Creativity of Chinese Children (중국 아동의 창의성 증진을 위한 지역 문화 콘텐츠 기반의 디자인교육 프로그램 개발)

  • Various studies have been conducted to identify the concept of creativity and enhance it effectively. Many advanced countries in the field of design have already expanded the scope of design education from specialized education to universal education and utilized such design education as a curriculum for promoting the creativity. Although education industry in China has been growing rapidly with the increase in the national income, the current educational contents have been mostly focused on the subjects/contents for an entrance examination, with little consideration of creativity promotion for children. Therefore, as an effort to promote creativity of Chinese children, the current study developed a design education program utilizing Chinese cultural contents and verified its educational effectiveness in terms of creativity promotion. The program was developed in the following process: 1) exploring the program development direction through an in-depth interview with parents; 2) deriving three lesson plans through an ideation session with some experts in art education for children; and 3) selecting a final lesson plan through experts/parents evaluation and developing a final textbook. A total of 10 children were educated with the developed textbook, and their levels of creativity before and after the education were comparatively evaluated using Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking (TTCT). The study results showed that the education program developed in the current study significantly affected the children's creativity, which would contribute to promoting the children's creativity, and also, developing a new creativity education program in the future. Additionally, it is expected that the research methods employed in this study, that is, developing a creativity promotion program using some cultural/local contents, could be usefully/widely applied in various fields of education.

Cultural Capital and Expanded Musical Consumption -From What to How (문화자본과 확장된 '문화소비' -무엇을 소비하는가에서 어떻게 소비하는가로)

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest that cultural consumption practices are changing with social and media changes and re-conceptualize 'cultural consumption' beyond attendance or exposure to high culture genres. We look at four types of musical consumption - news reading, posting a review, amateur participation, interaction with others - as expanded musical consumption. We expect expanded musical consumption to be closely associated with cultural capital than with attendances at musical events since high-culture events gets popularized, musical information abundant and cultural interaction easier. We explore the question of the relationship between inherited cultural capital and cultural consumption using recent survey data. More evident are positive relationships between cultural capital and production than attendance.

Language of Hope in Europe (유럽의 관점에서 조망하는 희망의 언어)

  • In Europe, the diversity in religions, cultures, languages and historical backgrounds is enormous. World War II and the Soviet Regime have played a large part in this and the flow of refugees from other continents increases the pluralism. How can religious education add to bridging between differences? The language across European countries is different, literally between countries, but also figuratively speaking and even inside individual countries. These differences occur in cultural sense and across age groups as well. Secondary education has the task to form young people to become firmly rooted people who can hold their own in society. It is essential that they learn to examine their own core values and their roots. Recognising their values should be a main focus of religious education. However, schools are currently accommodating increasing numbers of non-religious pupils. What role do religious values still play in this situation? How do pupils feel about active involvement in religious institutions, and about basing life choices on religious beliefs? Can other, non-religious values be detected which could form the basis for value-oriented personal formation? Research of these subjects has been ongoing in the Netherlands for more than twenty years and is currently being expanded to the Czech Republic and(former East) Germany. These are also secularized countries but have a very different history. Does the history and context of these countries play a role, and does this show in the values that are important to pupils? A comparative pilot study is being conducted as start of this broadening perspective geared towards greater insight into the values of pupils in these three European countries. This information helps to design appropriate new forms of religious value-oriented worldview education.

  • 우리나라 교육통계에 따르면 외국인 가정 및 국제결혼 가정의 자녀 수는 138,227명에 달하며(교육부, 2020), 결혼이민자는 169,005명에 이른다(법무부, 2022). 이들 중 대다수는 의사소통의 어려움을 호소하며, 의사소통 문제는 학교 및 사회생활 부적응으로 이어진다. 이에 대하여, 지방자치단체와 다문화 유관기관 등에서 다양한 한국어교육 프로그램을 진행하고 있지만, 대부분이 단편적인 학습지 교육이나 문화 체험 수업에 그치거나 코로나19 등으로 인하여 수업이 중단되는 등 효과적이고 체계적인 교육이 제공되지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 한국에서 적응하고 생활해야 하는 다문화 가정 구성원들을 대상으로 한국어교육을 체계적으로 실시하기 위해 가상현실(VR)을 활용한 교육 프로그램을 제안한다. 이는 시공간의 제약을 받지 않아 일반 교재나 PC 활용 수업에 비해 접근성이 좋고 실재감과 몰입감을 높여 학습자의 흥미와 참여도를 향상시킬 수 있다. 특히 다자간 동시 참여가 가능한 메타버스 공간에서는 학습자 간 활발한 상호작용 및 소통이 가능하여 언어 능력과 더불어 사회 적응력을 기르는 데에 기여할 수 있다.

A Study on Humanities Programs in Public Libraries : Observations and Reflections (공공도서관 기반 인문학 프로그램에 대한 현상적 연구)

  • This study attempts to investigate the current situation, limitations and improvement strategies of humanities programs in public libraries. Specifically, this study also surveys such humanities programs open in public libraries and compared strengths and weaknesses of the programs. For the study the researcher participated in such humanities programs for the observation. For the interview, data were collected from public librarians who are in charge of such humanities programs. Supplementary data were also collected through qualitative interviews and brain-storming discussions with public librarians and program participants. For the suggestion, future strategies to improve the quality of such programs and to cope with changes of user demands and future trends, the researcher put the emphasis on the networking with local art/cultural communities, proactive marketing strategies, practical program management strategies, and program development on the basis of user needs.
