본 연구에서는 이상 제기한 연구 문제를 해결하기 위해서 미학 및 사회학 등에서 논의되어 온 문화 꼴라쥬 현상에 대한 개념과 사회적 등장 배경 등에 대한 이해를 바탕으로 문화 꼴라쥬 현상에 대한 내적 가치를 파악하고자 한다. 남성 패션에 표현된 문화 꼴라쥬 현상의 외적 조형성을 분석하기 위해서는 시각적 자료로 남성 패션 스타일 선도자로서의 역할을 해온 The Face, i-D, view와 해외 collection 지 등의 잡지를 분석한다. (중략)

The purpose of this study is to analyze the meaning and the value of the cultural collage expressed in men's fashion. As for the research methodology, literary research was under taken to study psychoanalytical and socioeconomic contexts in which cultural collage has been formed. In addition, demonstrative studies in men's fashion were undertaken through the analysis of pictures. The cultural collage is defined as a phenomena of making creativity by combining cultures which have no relevance. In psychological and sociological aspects, the rise of the cultural collage is caused by multinational corporation, pluralization of identity, information society, consumer oriented production, consumer society and inundation of kitsch. On the basis of the characteristics and social backgrounds of cultural collage, the aesthetic values of men's fashion can be explained by pluralism de-generalization and relativity.

In the post-modern society, creativity is redefined as a capability which collects a wide range of information and recombines them in diverse manners. With a such trend, the characteristics of collage - a method of making a creative image by combining pieces which have no relevance - is becoming prevalent in the post-modern culture. The purpose of this research is to develop a model which generates ideas in fashion design by use of collage techniques. With regard to research methodology, a literature survey was undertaken to find out and understand characteristics of collage. Analytic and positive studies were also done on the styles of fashion design of the 2003 SS collections to which collage techniques applied. In order to generate ideas in fashion design, the following mechanism using collage techniques can be used. Above all, pluralism is realized by collecting incoherent elements. Secondly, deconstruction is made by changing scales and configuration. Lastly, relativity is attained by using parts of ready-made goods and respecting their independency.

미디어 영상, 예술 분야에서의 표현 특징들 중 초현실주의의 표현 기법을 이용한 많은 작품이 출시되고 있으며 이에 대한 연구가 시작 진행되고 있다. 그러나 아직 게임 캐릭터의 표현 특징 중 초현실주의의 표현 특징에 관한 연구는 거의 전무한 상태이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 초현실주의에서의 표현 기법을 중심으로 판타지 게임 캐릭터의 표현 특징을 분석하였다. 그 결과, 초현실주의에서는 신체의 일부와 동물 또는 다른 사물을 꼴라쥬 하는 형태와 변형, 그리고 왜곡을 이용하여 현실에 존재하지 않는 이미지들을 표현하였는데 이러한 방법들은 판타지를 기반으로 한 온라인 게임 캐릭터에서도 유사하게 사용되었다. 본 논문은 미학적 맥락 속에서 판타지 게임 캐릭터들의 특징을 분석하여 현 시대 문화적 배경 속에 게이머들의 심리를 이해하여 보다 호감 있고 창조적인 게임 캐릭터 제작에 도움을 주며, 예술 기법 활용의 가능성을 증가시켜 창의적인 게임 그래픽 제작의 가능성을 여는데 의미가 있다.
