The purpose of this research are to develop patterns for integrated culture and arts education program in libraries. In order to conduct the research, I analyzed the status of the culture and arts education programs in domestic and U.S. libraries. The basic aim of the culture and arts education program in libraries is based on a nature of the library. I presented the patterns of a integrated culture and arts education programs (experience-understanding-communication). Also, I presented a various culture and arts education programs in based cultural facilities of a region.

The study identifies the major themes for integration education program which enhances the relationship between the north Korean refugees and their south Korean hosts. The themes were selected based on qualitative analysis of the socio-cultural conflicts experienced by the refugees and the hosts in the acculturation process. Twenty-eight north Korean refugees over age 20 participated in semi-structured interviews, and two south Korean groups in close contact with the refugees, police and volunteer teachers, were interviewed in focus groups. The interviews were recorded and transcribed for categorization and coding. The study views the acculturation issue as the two-sided integration task for both the north Korean refugees and the south Korean hosts rather than as the one-sided acceptance and assimilation task for the refugees.

지방자치단체(이하 지자체)는 경제, 사회, 문화 등 다양한 분야의 지표 및 데이터를 관리하고 있다. 지자체의 데이터를 수집하여 분석하고자 하는 사회과학 분야 연구자들은 이렇게 지자체별로 흩어져 있는 관련 데이터를 수집하는데 많은 시간과 노력을 투여하고 있다. 만약 지자체의 경제, 사회, 문화 등 관련 지표를 통합적으로 제공하는 데이터베이스가 구축되고, 이를 다양한 기법으로 검색할 수 있는 시스템에 구축된다면, 사회과학분야 연구자들에게 많은 도움이 될 것이다. 본 연구는 지난 5년 동안 구축한 지자체 통합데이터베이스(이하 통합DB)에 대하여 소개하고, 통합DB를 활용하여 구축한 경제, 사회, 문화 지표 통합 검색 시스템에 대하여 소개하고자 한다.

This study aims to suggest the ways of integrated services for Cultural Heritage Archives that belong to the Cultural Heritage Administration. To this end, the study analyzed the archives of major affiliated organizations of the Cultural Heritage Administration that manage and preserve Korean cultural assets. A cultural asset metadata based on the multiple entity model and applicable data link model standard was suggested for the integrated service of high-value-added cultural heritage information resources.

This study is to investigate the theoretical background of the content system for an integrated approach to multi-cultural education. It has been expanding to children from general family even though started to support children from multi-cultural family. Most of multi-cultural education programs would be their purpose as building the multi-cultural citizenship even though various multi-cultural education have been introduced. These programs had limited to apply western multi cultural education into Korea school, and Their focuses were not who is person to be morally educated in the multi cultural society. Thus, this study put emphasis on the necessity of and developed the content system for an integrated approach to multi-cultural education.

This research attempted to provide new philosophical perspective to be taken in the public libraries as an institution which should support the social inclusion in the multicultural society. As deepening on dichotomous system of culture in modern society, It is referred to the need for an intercultural discourse on mulitcultural services in the public libraries. The process of social Integration suggested by Esser indicated the interactive transformation between actors and society. The conception serves the standard perspective on immigrants. Accordingly, This research analyzed a multicultural program of public libraries based on the classification of policy about immigrants by Castles. And it is based on the intercultural philosophy of Mall, It suggested the roles of public libraries in social integration and the process to support immigrants through the framework by Esser.

남과 북의 출판물 교류가 아니라 민족출판문화의 통합이어야 한다. 일시적으로 분단되어 있던 민족출판의 남과 북을 하나로 통합시키자는 것이다. 교류란 우리의 국토와 민족을 하나로 보지 않고 둘로 갈라보는 분단주의자의 발상이다. 출판뿐 아니라 모든 분야에서 남과 북의 교류가 아니라 남과 북의 통합이라는 관점에서 있어야 한다.

This study was conducted to investigate students' perception of the integration of Chinese ethnic minority culture into the college EFL teaching which was carried out in the fall and spring semesters with different presentation topics. One and the same questionnaire was distributed to 61 participants, involving Han Chinese and Chinese ethnic minority students, at a university in ethnic minority area in China at the end of each semester, and SPSS 20.0 was used for t-test to analyze the data. The research results showed that Chinese undergraduates have got more significant improvements in cultural cognition, emotions, attitudes, and multi-cultural values in the spring semester than those in the fall semester. All participants benefit a lot from multi-cultural activities without significant differences between Han Chinese and ethnic minority students in both semesters. It is suggested that ethnic minority culture be integrated into the college EFL teaching, along with English culture and Chinese mainstream culture, which be administered as a practical teaching mode to develop students' intercultural competence.
