  • The purpose of this study is to identify an acquisition material duplication rate among three academic libraries for developing an academic library network. Three academic libraries located in Gyonggi-do, Korea were selected for data collection. The acquisition lists in both 2000 and 2001 were compared and analyzed between two libraries respectively. The results show that the duplication rate is 0.4% in 2000 and 2.8% in 2001 between medium in libraries, and 1.33%, 1.11% in 2000 and 3.63%, 3.88% in 2001 between a big size library and medium size libraries. These tell us that a big library can get benefit from a library network with medium size libraries.

  • The study investigated undergraduates' citation use and plagiarism awareness. A questionnaire method was used and was given to undergraduates in a university located in Seoul. Upon investigation, undergraduates recognized the importance and the need of citation and were partly applying citations. However, upon further investigation of undergraduates' citation learning with citation questions, very few of respondents had knowledge of correct citation usage. Undergraduates mostly cited print materials and information from the internet. They used books in case of print materials and web materials provided by academic institutions. They suggested that the university should teach citation usage through a citation and plagiarism awareness program. It is necessary for library use education (information literacy education) as well as university to teach citation education including citation type and how to write it.

  • Data Science is emerging as a closely related field of study to Library and Information Science (LIS), and as an interdisciplinary subject combining LIS, statistics and computer science in an attempt to understand the value of data by applying what LIS has been doing for collecting, storing, organizing, analyzing, and utilizing information. To investigate which subject fields other than LIS, statistics, and computer science are related to Data Science, this study retrieved 667 materials from Web of Science Core Collection, extracted terms representing Web of Science Categories, examined subject fields that are studying Data Science using descriptive analysis, analyzed the intellectual structure of the field by co-word analysis and network analysis, and visualized the results as a Pathfinder network with clustering created with the PNNC clustering algorithm. The result of this study might help to understand the intellectual structure of the Data Science field, and may be helpful to give an idea for developing relatively new curriculum.

In this study, 1,765 articles retrieved from Web of Science and 514 records from RISS were analyzed to investigate research trends. Structural topic models were applied to examine research topics and to grasp the time-series trend. The results show that humanities-based convergence studies and digitization were main research interests in both side. In Korea, research topics related to cultural contents and storytelling were prominent, while in terms of providing digitized data, library and information science field was one of the important research topic abroad.

  • This study focuses on investigating and analyzing overall information use behavior of the social science researchers. questionnaires were sent to 150 researchers in three major libraries or research institutes in the area of the social sciences, Five hypotheses were tested on the basis of the assumption that there would exist unique characteristics in the information seeking behavior of social science researchers The findings of the study shows that social science researchers prefer monographs and journals: they tend to use current material: the first information source for their research activities is the cited references in the book or journal article : they are likely to delegate literature searching to the librarian, but they tend to conduct direct searching in online setting: in general, they react positively for the rapid change in information environment caused by recent development of information technology, It is emphasized that to design an efficient information system and provide an effective information service in the social science related library or information center, it is essential to consider the major characteristics and attributes of social science researchers in terms of their information use behavior.

PRISMA flow diagram in accordance with the selection process of this research was done. The literatures were retrieved from domestic and international study from 2010 to June, 2019. A total of 30 literatures were selected according to the selection criteria of this study. The literatures were searched electronically using the search engine with the key words of 'pressure ulcers', 'bedsore', 'decubitus ulcers', 'intervention', 'prevention'. • We aimed to identify the differences between Korean and Chinese calligraphy therapy by examining the trends in Korean and Chinese calligraphy therapy and the effectiveness of the dependent variables. For the study, we initially screened 288 Korean articles and 429 Chinese articles, totaling 717 articles, published from January 1997 to December 2021. Using the PICOTS-SD standard, 6 Korean articles, 9 Chinese articles, and 15 total articles were identified as eligible for the study, and the collected data were analyzed using SPSS 26.0, a Microsoft EXCEL program. We found that there were significant differences in the number of follow-ups among publication formats, disease types, and main activity techniques (p<.05), and significant differences in the number of research and experimental participants in calligraphy therapy studies published in Korea and China and in the type of effect verification of the dependent variable (p<.01). In addition, based on the literature review and data analysis, it was found that there were differences in the qualities and experience of Korean and Chinese therapists and the intervention contents and methods of calligraphy therapy.
