Archives and Records Management Studies is being developed its own independent domains. However, the existing library classification scheme such as the KDC don't properly reflect the characteristics of Archives and Records Management Studies. This classification scheme has the irrational part of the arrangement of the subject items and should be required to rearrange subdivision of the subject areas. In this study, According to the characteristics of Archives and Records Management Studies, It is set up 8 subject areas, Records Management (General), the law and polices of records management, the collection and appraisal of the records, the documentary organization, recording information services, preservation of the records, archives management, archives and records center, etc. After analyzing the major contemporary library classification system such as KDC, DDC, NDC, UDC, LCC, then It is suggested that improvement measures through analyzing classification status and keywords of the Archives and Records Management data contained in Korean National Bibliography. In Archives and records management studies, The contents of the eight subject areas related to the field are changed to allow integration with KDC 028.

This study aims to develop the records management standard table of the college of education through mapping transaction and records folder based on identifying the problems of the college of education. For these purpose, the study analyzed the records classification system of the all college of education. And then, drew out the business transaction items for records management standard table of the college of education based on the records management standard table of the local governments. Consequently, based on analysis, this study developed the records management standard table and suggested efficient management plan to apply Business Reference Model(BRM) to the college of education in 2017.

This study suggests a plan of tables of deference for Korean Decimal Classification, 4th edition, based on the study on those in Dewey Decimal Classification, 21st edition. It suggests two tables for the Auxiliary Tables, one for standard subdivisions and one for subdivisions for literature. Twenty-two tables are suggested for the Schedule of ten main classes.

In this study, A DDC online system was developed which provides subject access and browsing function for class numbers or subject terms. A knowledgebase of the DDC Schedules and Relative Index was designed for this purpose using IBM-PC. From the DDC 20th edition, subjects from 004 to 006, covering‘data processing’,‘computer science’‘programming and progrms’, and etc., were selected for this experiment. DDC schedules are represented as a frame structure which is apt to describe hierachical structures. This experiment, joining the DDC to the information retrieval environment of an online catalog, will contribute to the future of the online DDC system by providing possiblities for search strategies not feasible through the alphabetical approach of subject headings and keywords presently supported by online catalogs.

This study suggests an improvement and modification plan for KDC's architecture field after comparing and analyzing KDC, DDC, NDC, the Research Field Classification System, and the National S&T Standard Classification System of the National Research Foundation of Korea. This study suggests, through the cooperative study of researchers from classification and those from construction, that it would be better to integrate 610 architecture into 540 architecture engineering and to change the heading of 540 from "Architecture engineering" to "Architecture". The study also newly creates several subdivisions, 540.1 Architecture Plan including its subdivisions, 543.1 Structural Mechanics, and 546.1 Architectural Environment including its subdivisions.

The KDC is the most widely used classification system in the elementary school libraries of Korea, but it is only published in full edition. This study is to development abridged KDC edition for elementary school libraries as the subject of KDC. In order to do this, the present writer carried out as follows; to analyse the present state of an class in KDC, to analyse a distribution chart of a class in an practical books and to comes up with a plan of abridged KDC edition as the grounding in the foundation of volume a collection of books. The abridged edition for elementary school libraries is a structural hierarchy of the corresponding full edition which it is based, and is intended for general collections of 20,000 titles or less.

한국산 털진드기 종을 다룬 모든 문헌을 조사 정리한 결과 총 43종이 보고되었는데, 그중 Salchia brennani ventralis 는 오동정한 것으로 W. comataxila 이었고 Shunsennia gracilis 는 S. hertigi 의 동종이명일 가능성이있으나 문헌상으로는 확인할 수 없었다. Leptotromibidium intermedium 의 경우 문헌상의 근거가 전혀 없어 국내 서식종으로 인정할 수 없었다. 필자가 직접 표본을 조사하여 확인할 수 있었던 종은 모두 17 종이었는데 그 가운데 Leptotromibidium akamushi 는 L.zutum 의 , L.miyajimai 는 L.orientale 의 오동정이었다. 결국 한국산 털진드기류는 모두 2과 , 12속, 39종이 된다. 이 중 2 종은 조류에 , 7종은 박쥐에, 그리고 29종은 설치류에 각각 기생하는 종이고 1종은 조류와 포유류에 공동기생하는 종이다. 현재 한국산 털진드기를 동정하는데 이용할 수 있는 검색표로는 29종을 아룬 Southwick (1968) 의것이 있을 뿐이고, 우리나라와 동물상이 유사하나 일본 종에 대한 검색표도 우리나라 토착종 21종이 들어 있지 않아 도움이 되지 않는다. 뿐만 아니라, 기존 검색표는 다리의 강모식(leg setal formula) 이나 촉수의 강모식( palpal setal formula)등 관찰하기 어려운 형질을 많이 사용하고 있어서 동정에 어려움이 많았다. 이에 필자는 현재까지 한국 종으로 정리된 총 39종에 대한 검색표를 만들었는데, 관찰이 용이하면서도 변이가 적은 형질을 최대한 사용하였고 특히 종 특징을 잘 나타내는 배판(scutum)의 형질을 주로 사용하였다. 실용성이 보다 큰 도식형 검색표( pictorial key)도 함께 만들었는데 원저자들의 도표에서 배판(scutum)을 그대로 전사하여 종 간 비교를 용이하게 하였다.

This study suggests some ideas for improvement of mixing classification and illogical subdivisions arrangement of Statistics in Social Science and Mathematical Statistics in Natural Science on KDC. We investigate the characteristics, educational system, and curriculum of Statistics in Korea. Besides, we compare and analyze classification systems such as KDC, DDC, LCC, NDC and Research Fields Code by National Research Foundation of Korea. As a result, Statistics in Social Science is relocated and integrated with the subfield of Natural Science according to the academic background. Existing social statistics topics are subdivided into statistical research methods complementing social science research methods. The heading 'Probabilities, Statistical mathematics' in Natural Science is changed to 'Statistics', and the subdivisions are expanded and revised.

Cadastral Science has not been evaluated as an independent discipline according to Code of Research Fields of Korea Research Foundation. The purpose of this study is to find the problems of knowledge classification of Cadastral Science and suggest method of improvement. For the studying, analyzes the definition, objects of research, educational system and curriculum of Cadastral Science. Besides, investigates the condition of Cadastre classification on Code of Research Fields, DDC and KDC. This paper suggests that Cadastral Science can be restructured to the new Interdisciplinary Studies and moved to the upper division. The items of division and subdivision can be also added.

Recently, information on international trade goes on increasing in quantity because of the globalism and many related areas of the field. Most of libraries and informatin centers in Korea are using Dewey Decimal Classification(DDC), Library of congress Classification(LCC), and Korean Decimal Classification(KDC) to classify library materials on the subject. The application of three classification shcemes, DDC, LCC, and KDC were queried to determine the classification of materials on international trade. And analyses of the parts of international trade in three classification shemes were done in order to identify what major changes have made with the development of the field. There was subject scatter in DDC and LCC; there was an overlap among the classes of the three systems; and there was little change between present editions and the previous editions. The revision for international trade field of the KDC, the 4t edtition was suggested to help cover some deficiencies of the classification scheme. Inorder to develop a better KDC, the 5th edition, continuous revisions based upon the opinions of subject specialists and catalogers in the field are highly recommended.
