다양한 위상학적 관계(topological relation)를 분석하는 네트워크 분석은 복잡한 데이터에서 숨어있는 특성과 사실을 발견하는 기술로 최근 빅데이터 분야에서 데이터 분석 핵심 기술로 급부상하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 질병연구에 핵심적인 생물학적 네트워크의 생성 및 사용자 친화적인 네트워크 분석시스템을 개발하였다. 개발한 시스템은 PubMed에서 특정 질병과 관련있는 논문 요약 정보를 자동 수집후 텍스트마이닝을 통해 질병 관련 화합물, 유전자 그리고 상호작용 정보를 추출해 생물학적 네트워크를 생성하는 기능을 제공한다. 또한, 연구자가 손쉽게 생성된 네트워크에 대한 검색 및 다차원 분석을 수행할 수 있는 기능을 제공한다. 마지막으로 개발한 시스템의 우수성을 입증하기 위해 크론병(Crohn's Disease)에 대한 적용사례를 소개한다.

With regards to CSR, Proactive CSR has been less researched in small & medium enterprises(SMEs). This research examines empirically the relation between SME's organizational capabilities, proactive CSR and corporate performance as well as a mediating role of proactive CSR between capabilities and corporate performance. Using quantitative data collected from 485 SMEs in Korea, we find that all specified capabilities are positively related with adoption of proactive CSR by SMEs and that proactive CSR is, in turn, associated with an improvement in corporate performance. In addition, we also find a mediating role of proactive CSR on the relationship between organizational capabilities and performance. The study is likely to contribute to both SMEs CSR strategy and RBV research.

This study analyzed the features and various applications of Bluetooth beacon technology for utilization in the mining and construction industries. Through a literature survey, the concept and version-specific features of Bluetooth were reviewed, and representative types of the Bluetooth beacon-based service and its real-world applications in other fields were analyzed. Although a few previous studies that used the Bluetooth Classic (the old version of Bluetooth technology) in the mining industry have been reported, no mine site could be found where the Bluetooth beacon technology was utilized. In the construction industry, this study could find a site where the Bluetooth beacon technology was used to improve the haulage works of construction raw materials. Since the Bluetooth beacon technology has low power consumption and is easy to integrate with smartphones, it will be effectively utilized to improve the productivity and safety in the mining and construction industries.

This paper explores a way to solve students' silence problem in the class by studying dynamic behaviors in the class. In order to build a behavioral model, several factors affecting the students' behavior were extracted by literature review and by performing a survey to the students. The paper also implemented the model into an agent-based computer model for simulation. The simulation result showed that the behavior of an individual depends on the neighboring students. The more students are expressing their opinion, and then the better motivation one can get to express an opinion. Other observations are that supportive atmosphere considerably reduces the silent ratio, and even the majority of silence phenomenon appears at critical atmosphere.

In the situation where various social problems are raised due to rapid aging, how to send a long period of old age is emerging as an important issue. As the life span is extended, education for the elderly is attracting attention as a means of sending meaningful and effective old age that is about over 20years longer than before. This study aims to analyse the current status and characteristics of elderly education as lifelong learning in Japan where has already entered a super-aged society. This is because it will be expected to find meaningful lessons and implication for the development of education for the elderly in Korea, which is becoming more important. In order to complete this purpose, the literature review was conducted based on the data and reports published by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare and Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan which are institutions related to education for the elderly. Through this, the practical and policy support for the elderly education development in Korea was suggested. In specific, diversification of lifelong learning contents and execution places, expansion of out-reach education, and fostering coordinators were provided.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the status of interlibrary loan (ILL) services using data from its transection. While analyzing the ILL data, agenda to improve the quality of services was identified, and suggestions were made to address them. Three data sets including National Inter-Libary Loan data, National Library Statistics System data, and local inter-library loan system analysis data were collected and analyzed. The results indicate that the size of transaction in ILL is getting bigger. The local ILL, particularly, was expanded and actively used by people. Additionally, the type of library participating in ILL networks was diverse and the number of library was increasing. Finally, this study discussed the tool to measure the contribution of each library in ILL. The collection uniqueness and collaboration index of library as well as the ILL statistics should be considered in the process of the tool development.

One of the valid perspectives in the e-commerce platform literature is the seller signaling strategy in the information asymmetry situation. In this study, a research model was constructed based on signaling theory and shopping goal theory to systematically explore the effects of a seller's signaling strategy on consumer decision-making. Specifically, the study examined whether the signaling effects (i.e., reputation, electronic word-of-mouth, price) provided by the seller differed based on consumers' shopping goals. For the empirical analysis, the Gaussian Copula method was employed, utilizing 26,246 data collected from Amazon, a leading e-commerce platform. The analysis revealed that the signals provided by the seller positively impacted sales, and this effect was moderated by consumers' shopping goals. Drawing on shopping goal theory, this study contributes to signaling theory and e-commerce literature by discovering differences in the effectiveness of a seller's signaling strategy based on the keywords input by consumers.

For the construction of accurate scientific citation information, author disambiguation should be primarily resolved. This study proposes a method that utilizes URI(Uniform Resource Identifier) to create precise author citation networks. The adoption of URIs for representing authors and papers in this study enables us to maintain the integrity of constantly changing citation information and to guarantee the accessibility to the right literature. In experiments, we extracted 2,872 author-centric citation relation pairs from recent major IT-related proceedings written in Korean. From those, 135 citation network groups were discovered. The findings of this study are expected to be applied to a variety of researcher network services and scientific information portal services.

This study explored the user's information needs and information behavior for the development of academic library services. The content analysis of qualitative data showed that the in-depth interview participants have six types of information needs such as 'suitability, up-to-dateness, uniqueness, reliability, practicality, and convenience' while going through societal, educational, and research-related changes. Interview participants solved their information needs by acquiring the resources necessary for each individual's task through information behaviors using information media, human resources and the places. Each participant tried to solve his/her information problem through individual efforts based on their different media and information utilization capabilities. Based on the analysis, this study presented four directions in the development of academic library services. They are an personalized information literacy service, a space to meet the characteristics of information needs, an infrastructure platform for exchanging human resources, and an accessible support service for utilizing information media.

This study provides a systematic review of smart trade contracts, examining the research trends and theoretical background of utilizing smart contracts and blockchain technology for the digitalization and automation of trade contracts. Smart trade contracts are a concept that applies the automated contract system based on blockchain to trade-related transactions. The study analyzes the technical and legal challenges and proposes solutions. The technical aspect covers the development of smart contract platforms, scalability and performance improvements of blockchain networks, and security and privacy concerns. The legal aspect addresses the legal enforceability of smart contracts, automatic execution of contract conditions, and the responsibilities and obligations of contract parties. Smart trade contracts have been found to have applications in various industries such as international trade, supply chain management, finance, insurance, and energy, contributing to the ease of trade finance, efficiency of supply chains, and business model innovation. However, challenges remain in terms of legal regulations, interaction with existing legal frameworks, and technological aspects. Further research is needed, including empirical studies, business model innovation, resolution of legal issues, security and privacy considerations, standardization and collaboration, and user experience studies to address these challenges and explore additional aspects of smart trade contracts.
