RELIABILITY TESTING OF EATING ATTITUDE TEST FOR KOREAN ADOLESCENTS (한국판 청소년용 식이 태도 검사(EAT-26KA)의 신뢰도 조사)

  • Objectives:This study was designed for testing of Eating Attitude Test for Korean adolescents (EAT-26KA) on internal reliability and test-retest reliability and evaluation of each items through factor analysis. Methods:Total 1,160 middle and high school students were surveyed on June 1996. The questionnaire had been delivered by school teachers two weeks earlier before survey started. Among the 1,160 students, 114 students were selected by random. And then they were retested with same questionnaire on July 1996, four weeks later Result:Internal consistency of EAT-26KA was relatively good(Cronbach’s ${\alpha}$ =.83). There was statistically significance on test-retest reliability(r=.63 p<.01). But two items showed negative correlations(item No. 9, 17). and 5 items had low level correlation(p>.05, item No. 2, 6, 12, 21, 24). We performed factor analysis on whole items except No. 25 item. Result of factor analysis showed that the factor structure of EAT-26KA were different from that of EAT-26. Conclusion:The EAT-26KA is useful for the survey of the eating behavior and problems in Korean adolescents.

The Study of Evaluation of University Students' Health Behaviors (대학생의 건강행위 평가 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop and evaluate the scale for university students' health behaviors. This research is based on Roger's(1975) Protection Motivation Theory and Weinstein(1988)'s Precaution Adoption Process Model as theoretical frameworks. The contents of the scale were first abstracted from personal depth interviews of qualitative study on university students' health behavior experiences and review of its related literature. The initial items consisted of 76 behavior questions and 34 perception questions. After conducting the preliminary test, 33 behavior questions and 24 perception questions were selected for the final test by revisions on the basis of the result of the content validity test and the item understanding test. The questionnaires for the final test were distributed to 400 students enrolled in three universities. The questionnaires collected from 373 participants were analyzed by the SPSS program. From the examination of construct validity, item correlation, and factor relation turned out to be relevant. Five factors were determined from 27 items with a cumulative explained variance of 54.498 %. After examining reliability and validity of the collected dat, 27 items were finalized as the scale for university students' health behaviors.

The Relationship between the Awareness, Performance and Empowerment about Nosocomial Infection Control in Radiological Technologists (방사선사의 병원감염관리에 대한 인지도, 수행도 및 임파워먼트와의 관련성)

  • The aim of this study was to investigate the peculiarity of awareness, performance and empowerment of RTs and to find out the relationship between the levels of awareness, performance and empowerment and nosocomial infection control. A total of 84 RTs, which were working at C University Hospital in Gwangju city, were participated in this survey study. A final questionnaire consisted of total 80 items including the general characteristics(10), nosocomial infection(10), awareness level(24), performance level of the prevention of nosocomial infection(24) and empowerment scale(12). The levels of awareness and performance for prevention of nosocomial infection was significantly higher in senior RTs (p<0.05). The response about the content of 'no performance of infection control were excessive work(42.9%), lack of knowledge(17.8%) and insufficiency of time(16.7%), respectively. The association among awareness level, performance level and empowerment score for the prevention of nosocomial infection, it showed positive correlations as follows: awareness vs. performance level (Pearson's coefficient ${\gamma}=0.476$), awareness vs. empowerment (${\gamma}=0.276$) and performance vs. empowerment (${\gamma}=0.459$) (p<0.05). The factor that effected on performance was empowerment (p<0.05).

Mediated effects of Hope on the Relationship between Ego-resilience and Independent Will of Adolescents in Residential Cares (시설청소년의 자아탄력성과 자립의지의 관계에서 희망의 매개효과)

  • This study was carried out to verify the mediated effect of hope on the relationship between ego-resilience and independent will of adolescents in residential cares. The data were collected from adolescents living in residential cares purposely selected in Chungnam province, Seoul and Incheon. Firstly, the result showed the significantly positive relationship among independent will, ego-resilience, and hope. Secondly, ego-resilience and hope of adolescents in residential cares significantly influenced independent will. Thirdly, the result also proved the mediated effects of hope on the relationship between ego-resilience and independent will.

The Influence of Cognitive Style and Cognitive Level of High School Students on Chemistry Problem Solving (고등학교 학생들의 인지 양식과 인지 수준이 화학 문제 해결에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to find the influence of students' cognitive styles and cognitive levels on chemistry problem solving. 322 11th grade students were administered Group Embedded Figures Test(GEFT), Group Assesment of Logical Thinking(GALT), and chemistry problem solving task about mole and stoichiometry. Chemistry task was made of ten items, 5 items of them include misleading factor(irrelevant information). The students who are field-independent and in formal operational stage got higher scores than those who are field-dependent and in transitional stage. In 5 items which have no misleading factor GALT had significantly contributed to the regression equation, while in 5 items which have misleading factor GEFT was significant contribution to the regression equation. In two items of misleading items, students who used the irrelevant information were significantly more field dependent than those who did not use this information.

Degree of Science Problem Solving by the Information Processing Types and Cognitive Styles of Elementary School Students (초등학교 학생의 정보 처리 유형과 인지 양식에 따른 과학 문제 해결)

  • The purpose of this study was to find out the degree of science problem solving by the information processing types and cognitive styles of 235 6th grade students. The results of this study were as follows. First, as the students got higher scores in the two types of information processing, they could solve more science achievement items and creative problem solving items correctly. And as the students got higher scores in simultaneous information processing test, they could solve more scientific concept understanding items. Secondly, as the students were more field-independent, they could solve more science achievement items and creative problem solving items. And especially in solving scientific concept understanding items, much higher field-independence was required. Finally, there was a significant difference on the distributions of cognitive styles by the information processing types. As the students got higher scores in the two types of information processing, their cognitive style tended to be more field-independent.

Analysis of Correlation Between Cohesion and Item Difficulty in English Reading Section of CSAT (수학능력시험 영어 읽기 지문의 응집성과 문항 난이도 간의 상관관계 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the cohesion-related text factors that affected the correct answer rate of the English reading section in the Korean CSAT. To this end, reading passages of the 2014-2018 CSAT and CSAT mock test were collected and analyzed in terms of cohesion. And then, correlation analysis was implemented between the results regarding cohesion and item difficulty. The conclusions were as follows. First, the correct answer rate tended to increase as the linguistic burden of learners was reduced, when specific arguments between sentences were repeated. Second, there was no statistically significant correlation between the 8 sub-area of latent semantic analysis and the correct answer rate. Finally, the pedagogical implications of this study and suggestions for further study were discussed.

Developmental Study of an Instrument for STEAM Education Key Competencies (STEAM 교육의 핵심역량 조사도구 개발)

  • This study developed an instrument for measuring STEAM education effectiveness focused on key competencies of STEAM. This study performed literature reviews on the prior studies associated with the STEAM education and completed a pilot instrument through reflective reviews by external experts. A pilot study was administered to a total of 408 students and finalized by statistical analyses such as reliability check and exploratory factor analysis. The factors of the final instrument were identified as convergence (seven items), creativity (eleven items), challenge (five items), and care (nine items). The Cronbach' ${\alpha}$ for each construct ranged from .849 to .929 turned out to be reliable. This instrument can be utilized for measuring the effectiveness of the STEAM education on students' key competencies.

  • 검사관련 능력과 문항점수사이의 관계를 모형화하기 위해 사용한 순환모형에서 관측불능인 능력상대변수를 비롯한 모든 변수들이 범주형 변수라 가정하자. 이 범주형 자료를 위한 모수추정문제를 다루기 위해 EM 방법을 이용했는데, EM 방법은 사용하기에 편리하지만 순환모형에 대한 추정값이 적절하지 않는 경우가 발생한다. 그 주된 원인중의 하나로 초기값 선정의 잘못을 들 수 있는데, 본 논문에서는 이 외에 구조상의 결함도 그 원인이 됨을 경험적으로 보았다. 따라서 구조적 결함을 먼저 해결하면 보다 효과적인 초기값을 선정할 수 있으리가 기대한다.

지역사회 음주문화실태 결과분석-사례연구

  • A시 B구에서 2005년 5월 16일부터 6월 30일까지 지역주민(4개 동민)과 해당 구청의 직원들을 대상으로 음주문화에 관한 설문조사를 실시하였다. 응답자들을 지역주민과 구청직원의 그룹으로 분류한 다음, 각 그룹별로 주요 설문문항에 대하여 답변항목별 분포를 살펴보고, 성별분포와 연령대별 분포를 SPSS로 빈도분석을 실시하고 Excel을 이용하여 그래프를 제시하였다. 설문조사를 통하여 음주와 관련된 주요 홍보대상을 파악한 후 그 대상을 목표로 음주관련 사업의 집중도를 높이는데 그 목적이 있다.
