A Study on the Improvement Strategies of Robot Curriculum by analyzing Foreign Cases (외국 사례 분석을 통한 로봇교육과정의 발전방향 모색)

  • 로봇은 지식기반사회에서의 요구하는 기초 능력과 문제해결력 함양을 위한 학습을 충족시켜줄 것으로 기대된다. 또한 로봇교육은 공학적으로 여러 기술이 관련되어 있으므로 통합적인 기초 교육이 가능하게 할 것이다. 그러나 학습 내용, 학습 방법 및 학습 교재에 대한 연구가 부족하므로 외국에서 실시하고 있는 로봇교육과정을 분석하였다. 해외 사례 분석 결과 로봇을 통해 기초 능력과 문제해결력을 함양하기 위한 교육목표를 체계적으로 달성하기 위해서는 학교 교육과정으로 운영되어야 하며 로봇의 특성과 관련된 과학, 수학, 기술, 공학의 내용 요소들을 추출하며 로봇소양에 대한 내용뿐만 아니라 로봇활용에 대한 내용으로도 구성해야 하며 로봇 창작 시스템을 이용하여 단순한 로봇 조립보다는 창작 및 프로그래밍의 과정이 이루어질 때 효과적으로 학습의 성과를 거둘 수 있을 것이다.

A Study on the Process of Solving Context Problems by Prospective Teachers (예비 교사들의 맥락 문제 해결 과정 분석)

  • The aim of this study is to analyze how the context problems by prospective teachers are solved. In order to achieve this aim, this study examined the conceptual nature of context based on previous studies. I developed context problems about linear programming with reference to the results of the examination about the natural characterization of context. These problems were given to 44 prospective teachers and qualitative methods were used to analyze the data obtained from the written solutions by the participants. This study also developed the framework descriptors for this analysis in the light of the Mathematics Scoring Rubric from Illinois Department of Education(2005). The data was analyzed and interpreted in terms of this framework and the specific characteristics shown in the process of problem solving by the teachers were categorized into four types as a result.

  • 정보와 지식의 활용이 무엇보다 중요하게 여겨지는 정보화 사회에서 정보소양은 산업사회의 문자해득력만큼이나 중요하게 인식되고 있다. 또한 정보 기술만으로는 정보 사회에서 발생하는 문제에 대해 효과적으로 대처하고 적응하기 어렵다. 이와 관련하여 본 연구에서는 최근 외국에서 활발히 진행되어 온 정보소양교육에 초점을 두어 실제로 정보소양 학습 효과가 대학생들의 문제해결과정에 미치는 영향과 효용을 검증함으로써 차후 대학에서의 정보소양 교육 도입에 대한 방향을 제시하고자 한다.

The Effects of MINDSTORMS Programming Instruction on the Creativity (MINDSTORMS을 이용한 프로그래밍 학습이 창의력에 미치는 효과)

  • Traditional programming education lacked consideration of contents, methods and learners. In particular, the importance of programming education has been decreased in school because almost no suitable teaching has been executed for elementary school students. To solve these problems, this study proposed the use of MINDSTORMS that is a programming education tool suitable for elementary school students, and verified its effects on learners' creativity. The results of this study show that the tool is highly effective in improving students' creativity. The objectives of programming education are not only learning programming languages but also improving problem-solving ability, logical thinking and creativity. We must offer environment, in which students can control their own learning activity and solve problems by themselves. In addition, MINDSTORMS can be a very useful and suitable tool for programming education.

  • With the advent of the 4th industrial revolution, the need for artificial intelligence education has increased. The online learning environment caused by COVID-19 made it possible to use variety of artificial intelligence platforms. In this study, an aritificial intelligence class plan was developed and proposed to achieve the goal of artificial intelligence education using an AI platform. The AI platform used is AI for Oceans, With the theme of creating a program for the environment, designed a 6-hour project class using Novel Engineering-based on STEAM model. Students experience AI for Oceans enough time and learn supervised learning by experience. Based on understanding of supervised learning, students design their own programs for the environment using Entry's AI blocks. In this study, for AI convergence education, this lesson was developed and presented with the goal of acquiring the creative problem solving ability and integrated thinking ability by using the principles of artificial intelligence to solve problems.

Chemistry Problem-Solving Ability and Self-Efficacy (화학 문제 해결력과 자아 효능감)

  • The difference (bias) between self-efficacy and chemistry problem-solving ability was investigated for 96 (male: 48, female: 48) high school students. A self-efficacy instrument was administered, which asked the confidence in solving algorithmic and conceptual problems successfully. Their chemistry problem-solving ability was then assessed with 10 algorithmic and 10 conceptual problems as same in the self-efficacy instrument. Although students had higher scores in the algorithmic problems, no significant difference was found in the self-efficacy to solve the two different forms of problems. Therefore, the bias scores in the conceptual problems were higher than those in the algorithmic problems. Two-way ANOVA results for the bias in the algorithmic problems revealed a significant interaction between gender and the previous achievement level. Analysis of simple effects indicated that the bias scores of high-achieving boys were significantly higher than those of high-achieving girls. While most high-achieving boys were in the overconfident category, high-achieving girls were more likely to be in the underconfident category.

  • 그 동안 웹 프로그램 언어인 HTML에 대한 교수-학습 방안과 온라인 학습에 대한 연구들이 이루어져 왔지만 단순 태그 기능 학습에 그쳐 고급사고력을 높이는 프로그래밍학습의 목표를 달성하기는 부족하였다. 본 논문에서는 학습자의 창의력과 문제해결력을 높여주기 위한 HTML 교수-학습 지원 시스템을 설계하였다. HTML 교수-학습 지원시스템은 구성주의 교육 방법인 문제중심학습(Problem-Based Learning)을 이론적 토대의 하여 설계되었으며 나선형 교육과정의 원리에 따라 이원화된 학습요소들에 의해 학습의 위계를 실정하였다. 이 교수-학습지원시스템에서 HTML 학습에 대한 평가는 구성주의 원리에 입각하여 다양한 방식을 통해 지속적으로 이루어지도록 하였다. 또한 교수-학습에 활용되는 해결 과제는 같은 수준, 같은 영역의 문제은행을 축적하여 교수자가 자유롭게 상황에 맞게 선택하여 활용하도록 하였으며, 학습자의 학습 곁과를 통계자료와 도표를 통해 한눈에 살펴보고 적절한 피드백을 주도록 설계하였다. 이와 같은 원리를 토대로 한 교수-학습지원시스템 설계를 통해 학습자가 보다 많은 프로그래밍 경험을 축적하여 창의적이고 자기주도적으로 웹 프로그래밍을 할 수 있는 능력을 키워줄 수 있음을 기대하였다.

A Study on the Solving Proportion Problems of Mathematics Textbooks and Proportional Reasoning in 6th Graders (초등학교 6학년 학생들의 교과서 비례 문제 해결과 비례 추론에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is analysis of to investigate relation proportion problem of mathematics textbooks of 7th curriculum to proportional reasoning(relative thinking, unitizing, partitioning, ratio sense, quantitative and change, rational number) of Lamon's proposal at sixth grade students. For this study, I develop two test papers; one is for proportion problem of mathematics textbooks test paper and the other is for proportional reasoning test paper which is devided in 6 by Lamon. I test it with 2 group of sixth graders who lived in different region. After that I analysis their correlation. The result of this study is following. At proportion problem of mathematics textbooks test, the mean score is 68.7 point and the score of this test is lower than that of another regular tests. The percentage of correct answers is high if the problem can be solved by proportional expression and the expression is in constant proportion. But the percentage of correct answers is low, if it is hard to student to know that the problem can be expressed with proportional expression and the expression is not in constant proportion. At proportion reasoning test, the highest percentage of correct answers is 73.7% at ratio sense province and the lowest percentage of that is 16.2% at quantitative and change province between 6 province. The Pearson correlation analysis shows that proportion problem of mathematics textbooks test and proportion reasoning test has correlation in 5% significance level between them. It means that if a student can solve more proportion problem of mathematics textbooks then he can solve more proportional reasoning problem, and he have same ability in reverse order. In detail, the problem solving ability level difference between students are small if they met similar problem in mathematics text book, and if they didn't met similar problem before then the differences are getting bigger.

Development of Elementary Robot Programming Problems using Algorithmic Thinking-based Problem Model (알고리즘적 사고 문제 모델을 이용한 초등로봇 프로그래밍 문제 개발 및 적용)

  • This paper proposes elementary robot programming problems using the algorithmic thinking-based problem model with material factors in the elementary robot programming. And this paper proves the validity of developed robot programming problems in defining them as algorithmic thinking-based problems through experiments. The experimental results are analyzed in views of variety and effectiveness evaluation of answer algorithms and suitability of allocating degrees of difficulties to the developed robot programming problems. As a result of the experiment, we find that the developed problems has various answer algorithms and suitable degrees of difficulties for elementary school students.
