  • 센서 네트워크의 저전력 단거리 무선통신의 특징을 의료분야에 적용한 의료용 네트워크(Medical Body Area Networks)는 사람의 인체를 진단하기 위한 소형 의료 디바이스들간의 연결성을 제공하기위해 최근 주목받고 있는 기술이다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 프로토콜은 MBAN에서 전력의 효율성 및 신뢰성에 초점을 맞추어 제안 하였다. IEEE 802.15.3의 MCTA를 MBAN에서 적용 가능한 SR-MCTA로 변형하여 전송의 신뢰성 및 전력 사용의 효율성을 고려한 프로토콜을 제안한다. 제안하는 프로토콜에서 SR-MCTA 슬롯은 단말 디바이스의 요청에 의해 MBAN 코디네이터가 할당하며, 할당하는 방법은 현재 슬롯에서 긴급 패킷이 발생할 때 임이의 충돌 패킷을 발생시켜 서 패킷을 획득하는 방법을 사용한다. 이를 위해 WBAN 네트워크내의 특정 노드를 클러스터의 헤드로 설정한다. 제안하는 프로토콜의 효율성 분석을 통하여 제안하는 방법이 전송의 지연 개선 및 에너지 효율적임을 보였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 트리구조의 네트워크 환경에서 주기적인 트래픽의 효율적인 모니터링을 위한 TDMA(Time Division Multiple Access)기반의 스케줄링 알고리즘을 제안한다. 주기적인 모니터링 환경을 위해 제안된 기존의 연구[1]는 트리구조가 깊어지고, 자식 노드들이 많은 환경에서 에너지 소모가 증가하고, 데이터 처리율이 떨어지는 문제점을 갖는다. 이를 해결하기 위해 유휴 타임 슬롯(Time Slot)을 활용하고, 데이터를 중복되지 않게 보내는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안된 알고리즘은 기존연구와의 비교를 통해 더 높은 데이터 처리율과, 에너지를 적게 소모함을 보였다.

  • This paper presents a electrocardiogram(ECG), electromyogram(EMG), and Photoplethysmography(PPG) signal wireless monitoring system based on Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). ECG and EMG sensor interface analog front-end circuits are designed by using off-the-shelf parts. Texas Instruments(TI)'s CC2540DK is used for BLE-based communication. Two CC2540DK modules are used as Peripheral and Central nodes. In peripheral device, vital signals are acquired by the analog front-ends and fed to ADC for analog-to-digital conversion. The peripheral transmitts the data through the air to the central device. The central device receive the data and sends them to PC using UART. GUI is designed using Labview for displaying the acquired vital signals. The developed system can be used for future ubiquitous wireless healthcare system based on bluetooth 4.0.

A Study on the MS-WP Cryptographic Processor for Wireless Security Transmission Network among Nodes of Water-Processing Measurement-Control-Equipment (수처리 계측제어설비 노드들 간의 무선 안전 전송을 위한 MS-WP 암호 프로세서에 관한 연구)

  • Measurement controller that acquire and control and observe data from scattering sensors is organic with central control room. Therefore, measurement controller is efficient wireless network than wire network. But, serious problem is happened in security from outside if use wireless network. Therefore, this paper proposed suitable MS-WP cryptographic system to measurement control wireless network to augment network efficiency of measure controller. Result that implement proposed MS-WP cryptographic system by chip level and achieve a simulation, confirmed that 130% processing rate increase and system efficiency are increased double than AES algorithm. Proposed MS-WP cryptographic system augments security and is considered is suitable to measurement controller because that low power is possible and the processing speed is fast.

  • TDMA(Time Division Multiple Access) is a channel access scheme for shared medium networks. The shared frequency is divided into multiple time slots, some of which are assigned to a user for communication. Techniques for TDMA can be categorized into two classes: synchronous and asynchronous. Synchronization is not suitable for small scale networks because it is complicated and requires additional equipments. In contrast, in DESYNC, a biologically-inspired algorithm, the synchronization can be easily achieved without a global clock or other infrastructure overhead. However, DESYNC spends a great deal of time to complete synchronization and does not guarantee the maximum time to synch completion. In this paper, we propose a lightweight synchronization scheme, C-DESYNC, which counts the number of participating nodes with GP (Global Packet) signal including the information about the starting time of a period. The proposed algorithm is mush simpler than the existing synchronization TDMA techniques in terms of cost-effective method and guarantees the maximum time to synch completion. Our simulation results show that C-DESYNC guarantees the completion of the synchronization process within only 3 periods regardless of the number of nodes.

Method of Detecting and Isolating an Attacker Node that Falsified AODV Routing Information in Ad-hoc Sensor Network (애드혹 센서 네트워크에서 AODV 라우팅 정보변조 공격노드 탐지 및 추출기법)

  • In ad-hoc sensor network, AODV routing information is disclosed to other nodes because AODV protocol doesn't have any security mechanisms. The problem of AODV is that an attacker can falsify the routing information in RREQ packet. If an attacker broadcasts the falsified packet, other nodes will update routing table based on the falsified one so that the path passing through the attacker itself can be considered as a shortest path. In this paper, we design the routing-information-spoofing attack such as falsifying source sequence number and hop count fields in RREQ packet. And we suggest an efficient scheme for detecting the attackers and isolating those nodes from the network without extra security modules. The proposed scheme doesn't employ cryptographic algorithm and authentication to reduce network overhead. We used NS-2 simulation to evaluate the network performance. And we analyzed the simulation results on three cases such as an existing normal AODV, AODV under the attack and proposed AODV. Simulation results using NS2 show that the AODV using proposed scheme can protect the routing-information-spoofing attack and the total n umber of received packets for destination node is almost same as the existing norm at AODV.

  • In this paper, In this paper, we propose a Cooperative Routing Protocol (CooRP) for supporting network convergence and transmission services efficiently in mobile ad-hoc wireless sensor networks with Rayleigh fading environments. The main contributions and features of this paper are as follows. First, the routing routes are decided on route stability based on entropy concepts using mobility of nodes within the direction guided line region to increase the operational lifetime of routes as well as reduce control overhead for route construction. Second, a cooperative data transmission strategy based on the constructed stable routing route is used to increase packet delivery ratio with advanced SNR. Third, a theoretical analysis for cooperative data transmission of the proposed CooRP with outage probability is presented. The performance evaluation of the proposed CooRP is performed via simulation using OPNET and analysis. The results of performance evaluation show that the proposed CooRP by using stable routing routes and cooperative transmission can increase packet delivery ratio efficiently.

  • The IEEE 802.15.4 low rate wireless personal area network is a protocol suitable for wireless sensor networks. Thus there has been growing interest in the IEEE 802.15.4 protocol in the home automation networks. This paper proposes a scheduling scheme obtaining optimal parameters regarding the IEEE 802.15.4 frame and subframes in the home automation networks. Guaranteed time slots (GTS) are exploited for the delivery of real-time traffic. Given a set of the requirements for bandwidths and periods assigned to nodes in the network, the beacon interval and the active/inactive subframe duration satisfying the requirements are selected considering the low duty cycle by the proposed scheme. Based on these parameters, analytic results provide the way to efficient use of network resources including energy.

A Location-Aided Cooperative Transmission Method in Mobile Ad-hoc Wireless Sensor Networks (모바일 Ad-hoc 무선 센서 네트워크에서 위치도움 협력 전송 방법)

  • In this paper, we propose location-aided cooperative routing protocol (LACARP) for supporting power saving and stable route lifetime in mobile ad-hoc wireless sensor networks. The main ideas and features of the proposed routing protocol are as follows. First, the definition of the area of route search using location-based information to support power saving transmission. Second, the expect zone-based establishment of routing route within the area of route search. Third, the cooperative-aided transmission method. In the operation of data transmission over the established rout the datas are transmitted via both the established route and cooperative route aided by neighbor nodes. The performance evaluation using OPNET(Optimized Network Engineering Tool) shows the LACARP can improve the packet delivery ratio and power saving transmission efficiently.

  • In this paper, we proposed a system protocol for detecting injurious insect to support energy saving transmission in wireless bio sensor networks. The main ideas and features of the system are as follows. First, the route establishment method which is based on the energy efficiency and stability by using time-division tree structure. Second, multi-hop direction-based data gatering structure. In this structure, the selected fading method is used to transmit packet via the established tree structure for supporting power saving and route lifetime efficiently. Finally, we can get the node power saving and reduce transmission delay, thus network lifetime and efficiency are improved. The performance evaluation of the proposed protocol is via OPNET(Optimized Network Engineering Tool).
