A Study on Audio-visual Stimulation Based Unconstrained Stress Analysis using Chair-type BCG Measurement System (의자형 심탄도 측정시스템을 이용한 시청각 자극 기반의 무구속 스트레스 분석 연구)

  • 본 논문에서는 일상생활 중 지속적으로 심장 상태를 모니터링 할 수 있는 무구속 의자형 심탄도 측정시스템을 개발하였다. 또한 구현된 시스템에서 측정된 생체신호를 이용하여 주관적인 감정자극의 스트레스를 분석하기 위한 연구를 수행하였다. 수준을 분석하고자 하였다. 실험은 시스템에 착석하여 실시간으로 시청각 자극 실험을 수행하였고, 심박수와 심박변이도의 시간영역 및 주파수영역 파라미터를 확인하였다. 확인된 심박변이도의 파라미터는 시청각 도중 기술한 인간의 감정들을 체계화하여 2차원 공간에 여러 감정들의 관계를 나타낸 제임스 러셀(J. Russell)의 감정모델을 주관적인 감정 자극에 의한 스트레스 지표 나타내어 비교 분석하였다. 실험결과는 RMSSD, LF/HF 파라미터가 스트레스 수준 분류에 사용될 수 있는 잠재력을 가지고 있음을 증명한다.

  • In this study, we implemented an unconstraint ECG monitoring system on a chair. Nowadays, modern people spend most of their time sitting on the chair. Therefore, it is necessary to have an unconstraint ECG monitoring system that can be used for a long time. The implemented system can perform measurement even with clothes on and it has great advantage on motion artifacts. A pair of unconstraint electrodes are placed on the back of the chair. Amplifier and filters are designed to remove motion artifacts, The baseline noise and power line noise are filtered and very low level of bio-signal is amplified to give a final measurement. Control unit and wireless transmission unit are implemented. Analog signal is converted into digital signal and transmits biological signal to the PC and the smart phone. Therefore continuous ECG monitoring in daily life is made possible. A comparison experiment between Ag / AgCl electrode and unconstraint electrode is conducted to evaluate the performance of the implemented system. As a result, we confirm our unconstraint system can be used for daily life ECG monitoring.

Implementation of a Respiration Measurement System Based on a Nonrestraint Approach (무구속 방식의 호흡 측정 시스템 구현)

  • In this paper, we implemented a system to measure respiration rate with nonrestraint sensors comfortable for people to do their everyday life. The proposed system consists of a pad covered with a Piezoelectric sensor, a respiration measuring device able to send the signal data after amplifying and filtering the source signals to the viewer, a viewer providing sensor data visualization and implementing the respiration measuring algorithm. The algorithm is based on a breathing cycle with the local peak points extracted from threshold on sensor data. Respiration measurements on 3 subjects were performed by changing moving averages and thresholds. The proposed system showed less than 5% error rate when proper moving averages are N=50~60 and a range of thresholds is 800~1300. The system will contribute to preventing suffocation during sleep for infants and the elderly living alone.

  • 본 논문에서는 키넥트와 압력센서를 이용하여 수면자의 수면자세를 인식할 수 있는 수면자세 모니터링 시스템을 제안하였다. 기존 수면 모니터링 시스템은 장시간 착용해야 하는 불편함과 구속감으로 인해 수면의 질을 저하시킬 우려가 있다. 이러한 점을 해소하기 위해 압력센서와 키넥트 카메라를 이용하여 무구속 저비용의 효율적인 시스템을 구현하였고, 수면 매트형식으로 제작하여 그 유효성을 평가하였다. 본 연구에서 제안한 수면자세 모니터링 시스템은 실시간으로 수면자세를 감지하고 사용자의 수면시간 및 상태를 파악하여 건강한 수면습관을 들이는 방법을 권고할 수 있다. 향후에는 수집된 데이터를 이용하여 웰니스 및 헬스케어 모바일 응용 서비스로의 활용이 가능할 것이다.

  • Researches of Healthcare have been fulfilled lively with an advanced age and change of lifestyles. Especially, medical field has focused on researches of Healthcare due to that reasons. The Healthcare service requires the foundation technologies, such as sensor aggregating, data saving and data transmitting/analysis. In this research, we proposed the unrestricted equipment which can save a lot of aggregated patient's medical data to guarantee the patient's movement in Healthcare service. Moreover, we research the method which can transmit the aggregated data as soon as possible. Also, we implemented the system which can transmit the patient's medical data automatically for convenient use.

  • This paper describes a wearable electro-stethoscope module for home-healthcare system. The module is consisted of a microphone, an instrumentation amplifier, a filter, a power amplifier etc. and is light and small. The phonogram signal from the module shows good performance. The test for the material and size of the sound collector of the chest piece is performed and the results is reflected on the prototype product. If the module is connected to wired or wireless communication network, so people can check their health without going hospital.

  • 최근 유비쿼터스 헬스케어가 부각됨에 따라 심장의 활동상태를 보다 편리하게 측정하기 위하여 이동성 및 휴대성을 강조한 심전도 계측 시스템 및 스트레스 상태를 분석하기 위한 연구들이 수행되고 있다. 하지만 기존 심전도 계측은 전극의 부착 및 계측시스템과의 연결을 위한 리드선의 사용으로 인해 활동의 불편함을 유발한다. 본 연구에서는 기 연구 수행된 가정 또는 사무실에서 무구속적인(unconstrained) 방법으로 지속적인 심장의 활동상태의 모니터링이 가능한 무구속 의자형 심탄도 계측 시스템을 구현하였다. 무구속적인 방법으로 심탄도 신호를 계측하고 심탄도신호로부터 심박동변이율을 추출함으로써 일상생활 중 스트레스를 모니터링 하고자 하였다. 구현된 시스템을 통한 스트레스 모니터링의 가능성을 평가하기위하여 안정상태의 심박동변이율과 인위적인 신체적 스트레스인 Valsalva 조작를 유도한 후 심박동 변이율을 비교평가 하였다. 건강한 대학생 10명을 대상으로 비교분석을 수행한 결과 안정 상태와 육체적 스트레스 인가 후 심박동 변이율의 변화 양상을 관찰할 수 있었으며, 무구속적인 방법에 의해 스트레스의 모니터링이 가능함을 확인 할 수 있었다.

A Study on Urination Amount Estimation for the Male by the Measurement of Body Weight Difference (체중 변화 측정을 통한 남성 배뇨량 추정 방법 연구)

  • In this study, a method for estimating the amount of urination for men, was suggested and its performance was evaluated. This study is a preliminary one for the development of a health monitoring system that needs un-constraining, non-intrusive and long-term measurements in daily life. To estimate the amount of urination, a wide weighing plate with load cell was built and the difference in a man's weights between before and after urination was measured while he was standing on the plate. The results showed that the amount of urination can be estimated with the measured weight difference under the condition of mild movements. The largest measurement error of the suggested method was 40g, which means that this method can be applied to health monitoring in daily life. It is expected that the results of this study will be the basis for developing practical un-constraining and non-intrusive health monitoring system for daily use at home.

  • This paper presents a wind-power-driven portable power source based on piezoelectric effect. Positive piezoelectric effect is one of efficient and widely used mechanisms for converting mechanical energy to electrical energy. However, for this mechanism, a periodic mechanical stress with a high frequency, as in the case of AC, has to be exerted; such stress cannot be exerted by the natural wind in the environment. The natural wind has a constant velocity with slow and irregular variations, as in the case of DC. In this paper, we propose a novel and simple mechanism to convert mechanical energy into electrical energy. The DC-like wind flow is passed through a propeller to convert it to an AC-like wind flow; the resultant AC-like periodic flow induces vibrations in a piezoelectric cantilever, thereby, generating electrical power. This system is expected to be one of practical solutions for wireless energy supply to ubiquitous sensor networks (USNs).

  • The variable demand on the energy market, as well as the limited energy storage capabilities, requires a great flexibility in operating hydraulic turbines. But, present in Korea, the absence of testing laboratories and technical criteria for the performance test of small hydropower degrades the efficiency of the domestic hydropower machines, A performance guarantees for hydro turbines shall be contain, as a minimum, guarantees covering power, discharge and specific hydraulic energy, efficiency, maximum momentary overspeed and maximum momentary pressure and/or maximum steady-state runaway speed, as well as guarantees related to cavitation. Performance test are conducted by the test standard. Test codes based on extensive research data are written under the leadership of an IEC. Performance evaluation is carry out several test(performance test, cavitation test and runaway test). The paper presents the international turbine test laboratory and performance test standard.
