  • This experiment were conducted to select cheaper and more favorable compost among several kinds of composts which were produced by companies, farmers etc. instead of Yakto. The yield of usable ginseng seedling was also the highest in compost of Yakto, but that of usable seedling were inclined to be decreased in the compost of PL, Mushroom, Rice straw and HJ, in order. The content of inorganic salts in different kinds of composts was much different from individual organ part including leaf, stem and root. It was concluded that fully decomposed manure should be used and it needs to investigate perfect decomposed composts of PL and Mushroom instead of Yakto in order to yield ginseng seedings

  • This experiment was conducted to determine economic application method of Yakto among 6 application method : amount of Yakto application 3 plots(70 l, 25.5 l, 13.3l/kan), and added side dressing(3 l/kan) each plot. The reduced Yakto application(25.5 l/kan) with side dressing(3 l/kan) showed similar root diameter, fresh weight of roots and yield of good seedlings to standard Yakto application(70 l/kan). And also this application method of Yakto gave similar content of Ca and Mg, but the lower content of N, P, K in roots to standard Yakto application(70 l/kan). These suggested that 25.5 l Yakto application added side dressing(3 l/kan) per kan might be economical application method of Yakto.

  • This study was carried out to improve cultivation techniques by low cost and labour saving in ginseng (Panax ginseng C. A. Meyer) seedling production, by elucidating proper ratio virgin soil and organic fertilizer, suitable height of front piller. The obtained results are as follows ; The optimal ratio of white decomposition of virgin soil and organic fertilizer was 10:1 for good yield of standard seedling, The fittest height of front piller was 150 cm because of both good seedling growth and yield. The cost for production of seedling of ginseng could be reduced by both optimal ratio of virgin soil, organic fertilizer and selection of front piller height.
