Advances in wireless network are enabling the development of ubiquitous multimedia services. These multimedia services need efficient platforms to comply with the requirements of mobile computing. We introduce an adaptive service platform based on mobile agent and grid systems while specifying the challenges of ubiquitous multimedia services and focusing on frequent disconnections and scarce resources. We applied our platform to framework RtoA (Ready-to-Attend) which supports mobile users to access compute-intensive multimedia service, specifically, mobile education and video conferencing. RtoA includes hand-off, speaker and listener service which enable people to attend a conference or a class with satisfying quality of multimedia service. ns-2 based simulation verifies that our scheme is an efficient way to reduce energy consumption of mobile devices and to improve the response time of mobile applications.

Just as noted in some studies related to U-learning based on the ubiquitous technology, it is required to reflect both factors of the environments and contexts of learners on the teaching and learning strategy. For this, the current paper suggests an inquiry learning method and a mobile learning support device for the inquiry learning. Since the inquiry learning is operating on the basis of the contents that learners themselves experience in the fields, it naturally leads them to position in the learning environments and contexts. In this study some curricula are adopted and transformed for the inquiry learning, and the developed mobile device for the learning has a guide function, so that learners might follow the inquiry learning process. In addition, it is possible to reuse the acquired learning data by storing them on a remote learning sever, which may support the inquiry learning of students. These system and device are applied in the teaching sites of schools and, consequently, it is found that in regard with the learning interest and academic performance of students there is an advanced result, being statistically significant.

본 논문에서는 스테레오스코픽 비디오 응용 포맷(Stereoscopic video Application Format)을 기반으로 IP환경에서 3차원 광고, 홍보 및 교육 등에 직접적으로 적용될 수 있는 3D Push 서비스 시스템을 제안한다. 스테레오스코픽 비디오 응용 포맷은 모바일 및 고정형 환경에서 스테레오스코픽 비디오 저장 및 전송을 위한 파일 포맷으로서 다양한 3D 디바이스에 공통으로 적용될 수 있으며 국제표준(ISO/IEC 23000-11)으로 채택되었다. 제안한 시스템은 스테레오스코픽 콘텐츠를 토대로 프로그램 저작을 위한 저작 및 저장을 위한 저작도구, 저작된 프로그램을 스케줄링하고 각 클라이언트의 요청에 따라 전송 관리하는 서버 및 프로그램에 따라 자동 3D 디스플레이 및 사용자 인터랙션을 제공하는 플레이어로 구성된다. 또한, 제안하는 시스템은 국제표준을 토대로 다양한 3D 디바이스와 호환성을 제공하며 모바일 및 고화질 3차원 서비스를 제공할 수 있으며, 각 사이트 과금에 따라 3D 프리미엄 서비스 및 Non-tapeless기반의 원격관리 3D Push 서비스를 제공하는 장점을 가진다.

최근 무선 인터넷을 포함한 다양한 통신기술의 발달로 원격지에서 회의, 교육 및 발표를 위한 여러 가지 솔루션들이 마련되고 있으며, 그 이용영역이 확대되어가고 있는 추세이다. 그러나 대개의 시스템들은 영상이나 정보를 일방적으로 전달하는 방식이기 때문에 참여자가 수동적이 되기 쉬우며, 보다 능동적인 상호작용을 위해서는 참여자 각자에게 카메라와 같은 영상 장비가 양방향으로 설치되어야 하거나 다른 고가의 장비가 필요한 경우가 대부분이다. 본 논문에서는 이미 많은 사용자가 PDA나 Smart Phone을 보유하고 있고 점점 그 보급률이 향상되고 있다는 점에 착안하여, 이를 이용한 보다 능동적인 회의 참여 시스템을 제안하고, 각종 모바일 단말기와 PC간의 무선 통신을 통한 실시간 통신 기술을 바탕으로 하여 프레젠테이션 참여자의 상호작용을 지원하고 협동적인 회의가 가능하도록 하는 시스템을 구현하였다.

To effectively deal with video data, a semantic-based retrieval scheme that allows for processing diverse user queries and saving them on the database is required. In this regard, this paper proposes a semantic-based video retrieval system that allows the user to search diverse meanings of video data for electrical safetyrelated educational purposes by means of automatic annotation processing. If the user inputs a keyword to search video data for electrical safety-related educational purposes, the mobile agent of the proposed system extracts the features of the video data that are afterwards learned in a continuous manner, and detailed information on electrical safety education is saved on the database. The proposed system is designed to enhance video data retrieval efficiency for electrical safety-related educational purposes.

Monitoring and control of the greenhouse environment play a decisive role in greenhouse crop production processes. The network system for greenhouse control was developed by using recent technologies of networking and wireless communications. In this paper, a remote monitoring and control system for greenhouse using a smartphone and a computer with internet has been developed. The system provides real-time remote greenhouse integrated management service which collects greenhouse environment information and controls greenhouse facilities based on sensors and equipments network. Graphical user interface for an integrated management system was designed with bases on the HMI and the experimental results showed that a sensor data and device status were collected by integrated management in real-time. Because the sensor data and device status can be displayed on a web page, transmitted using the server program to remote computer and mobile smartphone at the same time. The monitored-data can be downloaded, analyzed and saved from server program in real-time via mobile phone or internet at a remote place. Performance test results of the greenhouse control system has confirmed that all work successfully in accordance with the operating conditions. And data collections and display conditions, event actions, crops and equipments monitoring showed reliable results.

It may be summarized to four kinds of innovation through global convergence, and the convergence of adjacent areas according to mega-trends in medical services market and actively introduced ICT technologies, public and private partnership. Health care is no longer a local industry, it is becoming Global Convergence. In the case of developed countries, it is increased to income levels, the development of new medical technologies, while the increase in specialized medical services and need of aging population. It increases migration of foreign medical personnel, geographical proximity and choice of the best medical technology, regardless of the cost. The increasing demand for high quality yet relatively low foreign prices of medical services. Hospitals are especially spread of international certification such as the US JCI standards. Hospital exports are being evaluated and opened the way for the export industrialization as ICT convergence hospital that can be exported to the fusion-related technologies more efficiently. Current local hospital has already reached saturation, globalization of Korean hospital is being the time necessary. Thus, unlike a strategy for each country, as well as technology transfer it is also possible, such as total exports provided the building, medical equipment procurement, local medical personnel (doctors and nurses) selection and training, PR and marketing. In the current medical law and need to be revised prospectively maintained for publicity and abroad, there is a need for further legal dragons and actively support a more flexible policy on the application of national law overseas medical services.
