A Security method and Performance evaluation of preventing DoS attack against DAD in MANET (MANET 환경에서 중복 주소 탐지에 대한 DoS 공격을 방지하는 보안 기법과 성능 평가)

  • The study of IP address allocation in MANET can be categories into Stateful and Stateless. The one, special node monitors other nodes' IP address and allocates IF address. And the other, node generates IP address by itself. Nodes in MANET have mobility and restricted resource, so Stateless is more suitable than Stateful. But, in Stateless, node requires DAD process because of unique IP address allocation. And Dos attack can be happened in DAD precess. In this paper, we propose a security method on preventing DoS attack against DAD in MANET using one-way hash function. Since, Computation of one-way hash function is suitable for nodes' restricted resource character in MANET. And we evaluate performance using NS2 and compare with other security method which is CGA using signature.

Enhancement of Authentication Performance based on Multimodal Biometrics for Android Platform (안드로이드 환경의 다중생체인식 기술을 응용한 인증 성능 개선 연구)

  • In this research, we have explored personal authentication system through multimodal biometrics for mobile computing environment. We have selected face and speaker recognition for the implementation of multimodal biometrics system. For face recognition part, we detect the face with Modified Census Transform (MCT). Detected face is pre-processed through eye detection module based on k-means algorithm. Then we recognize the face with Principal Component Analysis (PCA) algorithm. For speaker recognition part, we extract features using the end-point of voice and the Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficient (MFCC). Then we verify the speaker through Dynamic Time Warping (DTW) algorithm. Our proposed multimodal biometrics system shows improved verification rate through combining two different biometrics described above. We implement our proposed system based on Android environment using Galaxy S hoppin. Proposed system presents reduced false acceptance ratio (FAR) of 1.8% which shows improvement from single biometrics system using the face and the voice (presents 4.6% and 6.7% respectively).

  • As the T-DMB (Terrestrial Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) has been actively launched, all the service providers are focusing on finding a new business model using a variety of data services as well as video service. The middleware technology for data broadcasting service, which was presented due to such necessity, known as DMB MATE (Mobile Application Terminal Environment), provides a running environment of the applications and APIs so that the various data applications can support high-level functionalities for the interactive data service. In this paper, in order to effectively provide the data service under restricted channel environment of T-DMB, we introduce a service technology and an interactive data broadcasting system using the DMB MATE, specifically proposing a design method of T-DMB MATE receiver capable of the presented DMB MATE service. Finally, the performance of developed system is confirmed through the T-DMB data broadcasting experiment under a variety of conditions.

  • Recently, the lETF NEMO working group on network mobility is standardizing a basic support for moving networks. We need a handover scheme for achieving the performance of transparency during the movement of mobile routers in nested mobile networks. But existing handover schemes for a mobile host are not suitable for network mobility because the packet transmission delay and traffic increase during mobile router's handover in nested mobile networks. Therefore, we propose a new seamless handover scheme using the bi-casting based on Mobile IPv6 for nested mobile networks in this paper. Compared with the handover schemes using bi-directional edge tunneling for host mobility support on simulation. And, the results show that the proposed handover scheme reduces the packet delay during a mobile router changes the point of attachment in nested mobile networks.

  • Ink painting is an important art creation method in oriental culture. Although ink painting lacks of sense of reality compared to western painting, it contains its unique drawing skills, which is of great significance to the inheritance and development of Oriental culture. Animation or game utilizing by ink painting technique are derivative contents from ink painting. This paper will through research the brief history of 3D ink contents works and traditional drawing skills to research existing ink works' art characters and the general production method. Also describe the extensibility of 3D ink animation contents. There has extremely high research value of new convergence contents as mobile game, VR / AR etc. And according to those research ink style image contents can be assumed get further development in the future.

Deep Learning-based Real-time Heart Rate Measurement System Using Mobile Facial Videos (딥러닝 기반의 모바일 얼굴 영상을 이용한 실시간 심박수 측정 시스템)

  • Since most biosignals rely on contact-based measurement, there is still a problem in that it is hard to provide convenience to users by applying them to daily life. In this paper, we present a mobile application for estimating heart rate based on a deep learning model. The proposed application measures heart rate by capturing real-time face images in a non-contact manner. We trained a three-dimensional convolutional neural network to predict photoplethysmography (PPG) from face images. The face images used for training were taken in various movements and situations. To evaluate the performance of the proposed system, we used a pulse oximeter to measure a ground truth PPG. As a result, the deviation of the calculated root means square error between the heart rate from remote PPG measured by the proposed system and the heart rate from the ground truth was about 1.14, showing no significant difference. Our findings suggest that heart rate measurement by mobile applications is accurate enough to help manage health during daily life.

  • In this paper, we propose a keyboard security method that is based on a subclassing. This method doesn't need an additional hardware and can be applied to Web browsers that do not support ActiveX controls. As the users of Web browsers such as Firefox, Safari, Chrome etc. are increased, it is more required to have the keyboard security methods that are based on software and don't use ActiveX controls. Thus we developed the user mode keyboard security method that is based on a subclassing with plugins. Our method doesn't need an additional hardware module and is interoperable with general kernel mode security programs.

Parallelization Method of Slice-based video CODEC (슬라이스 기반 비디오 코덱 병렬화 기법)

  • Recently, we need to dramatically speed up real-time video encoding and decoding on mobile devices because complexity of video CODEC is significantly increasing along with the demand for multimedia service of high-quality and high-definition videos by users. A variety of research is conducted for parallelism of video processing using newly developed multi-core platforms. In this paper, we propose a method of parallelism based on slice partition of video compression CODEC. We propose a novel concept of a parallel slice for parallelism and propose a new coding order to be adequate to the parallel slice which keeps high coding efficiency. To minimize synchronization time of multiple parallel slices, we also propose a synchronization method to determinate whether the parallel slice could be independently decoded or not. Experimental results shows that we achieved 27.5% (40.7%) speed-up by parallelism with bit-rate increase of 3.4% (2.7%) for CIF sequences (720p sequences) by implementing the proposed algorithm on the H.264/AVC.

  • 유무선 초고속 인터넷 연결과 모바일기기의 발달로 사이버공간을 이용하는 멀티미디어 교육용 콘텐츠에 대한 연구가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 인터넷 가상공간에서 로봇조립에 대한 이해를 돕기 위해서 교육용 콘텐츠를 디자인하고 구현한다. 콘텐츠는 로봇 부품을 사용자가 조립해 나가는 과정으로 플래시 애니메이션 기법과 액션 스크립트을 활용해서 동영상과 상호작용을 조립과정 콘텐츠에 나타내었다. 인터넷 가상공간에서 사용자 중심의 상호 작용을 통하여 로봇 조립과정을 구현함으로써 가상공간에서 사용자 직접 조작으로 조립함으로서 교육효과를 증진시킬 수 있다. 현재의 구현과정은 이미지위주의 제한적 조립과정이지만 향후에는 3차원 모델링기반의 AR(증강현실) 구현으로 발전할 수 있다.

  • 정보통신기술의 발달은 개인용 컴퓨터나 노트북 컴퓨터와 같은 컴퓨터를 중심으로 이루어진 네트워킹 및 인터넷 환경을 컴퓨터를 포함한 스마트폰, PDA, 휴대용 멀티미디어 기기와 같이 이동이 가능한 소형의 기기를 중심으로 변화시키고 있다. 그러나, 연산, 통신 및 네트워킹 기능이 가능한 소형 장치들은 정보화 기기뿐만 아니라 계량기, 온도계와 같은 일반적인 사물에도 부착될 수가 있다. 사물에 부착된 이러한 소형 장치들은 사물의 정보를 자동으로 획득하게 해주거나 사물간의 통신 네트워크를 통해 정보의 상호 공유가 가능해진다. 이와 같이 사물에 부착된 통신 장치를 이용하여 사물이 네트워크에 연결되거나 사물간에 통신 네트워크를 구성하여 정보를 공유하는 개념 및 기술을 지칭하는 용어로 IoT, M2M 및 사물지능통신 등이 있다. 이러한 네트워크 환경에서는 사람 대 사람, 사람 대 사물뿐만 아니라 사물 대 사물간의 통신 네트워크가 가능해져 모든 객체간의 정보 공유가 가능해지며 이는 미래 유비쿼터스 정보 서비스 사회로 진화하기 위한 필수적인 기술 요소라 할 수 있을 것이다.
