Hybrid Stereoscopic Camera System (이종 카메라를 이용한 스테레오 카메라 시스템)

  • In this paper, we propose a hybrid stereoscopic camera system which acquires and utilizes stereoscopic images from two different camera modules, the main-camera module and the sub-camera module. Hybrid stereoscopic camera can effectively reduce the price and the size of a stereoscopic camera by using a relatively small and cheap sub-camera module such as a mobile phone camera. Images from the two different camera modules are very different from each other in aspects of color, angle of view, scale, resolution and so on. The proposed system performs an efficient hybrid stereoscopic image registration algorithm that transforms hybrid stereoscopic images into normal stereoscopic images based-on camera geometry. As experimental results, the registered stereoscopic images and applications of the proposed system are shown to demonstrate the performance and the functionality of the proposed camera system.

Influences of Spinodal Decomposition of InGaAsP Layer on Photoluminescence Characteristics (InGaAsP 에피막의 Spinodal분해 조직구조가 Photoluminescence 특성에 미치는 영향)

  • The effects of Spinodal decomposition induced phase separated microstructure of InGaAsP/InP heterostructure on photoluminescence(PL) intensity and FWHM(full-width at half maximum) were investigated in this study. Lattice mismatches were measured by double crystal x-ray diffractometer, and the microstructures of phase separated InGaAsP were observed by transmission electron microscopy. It was found that the misfit stress calculated from lattice mismatch was related to the periodicity of Spinodal modulation. Strong dependence of PL intensity and FWHM on the modulation periodicity was also found. For systematic understanding of these observations, the interaction elastic strain energy function induced by misfit stress was proposed. The calculation illustrated that the microstructure of the epilayer such as Spinodal decomposition played an important role in determining the optoelectronic properties such as PL intensity and PL FWHM.

  • The modern logistics has tried not only to convert the conventional packing system into unit load system using pallet but also to enhance the fitness between packing facilities and transport modes. This is based on the goal to reduce total logistics cost by improving logistics efficiency. Since the packing unit can affect both loading rate and loading facilities, basic form of packing unit is very important to unit load system. The object of this study is to develop a new method for evaluating the effectiveness of standardized packing module. The new method is based on measure of effectiveness (MOE) which are identified by expert survey. This study has originality in that the collecting method for effectiveness of standardized packing module has not been developed up to now.

Design of X-band 40 W Pulse-Driven GaN HEMT Power Amplifier Using Load-Pull Measurement with Pre-matched Fixture (사전-정합 로드-풀 측정을 통한 X-대역 40 W급 펄스 구동 GaN HEMT 전력증폭기 설계)

  • In this paper, a design and fabrication of 40 W power amplifier for the X-band using load-pull measurement of GaN HEMT chip are presented. The adopted active device for power amplifier is GaN HEMT chip of TriQuint company, which is recently released. Pre-matched fixtures are designed in test jig, because the impedance range of load-pull tuner is limited at measuring frequency. Essentially required 2-port S-parameters of the fixtures for extraction optimal input and output impedances is obtained by the presented newly method. The method is verified in comparison of the extracted optimal impedances with data sheet. The impedance matching circuit for power amplifier is designed based on EM co-simulation using the optimal impedances. The fabricated power amplifier with 15${\times}$17.8 $mm^2$ shows the efficiency above 35 %, the power gain of 8.7~8.3 dB and the output power of 46.7~46.3 dBm at 9~9.5 GHz with pulsed-driving width of 10 usec and duty of 10 %.

  • 본 논문은 시맨틱 웹 기술이 융합된 지식기반 정보유통 플랫폼(OntoFrame-K$^{(R)}$)의 추론 서비스 시스템 (OntoThink-K$^{(R)}$)에서 이용되는 Persistent Model인 DBMS기반의 온톨로지 확장 모델에 대해 설명하고자 한다. OntoFrame-K$^{(R)}$는 대용량의 지식 데이터를 다루기 때문에 기존에 개발된 온톨로지 추론 엔진을 이용할 경우 많은 한계점을 가지게 된다. 따라서 우리는 대용량의 지식 데이터를 안정적으로 처리할 수 있으며 추론의 신뢰성과 정합성을 가지는 온톨로지 확장 모델을 설계, 구현하였다. 본 모듈은 OWL과 인스턴스 데이터를 트리플 형태로 변환하여 입력 받은 후, 온톨로지 스키마 규칙과 사용자 정의 규칙을 이용한 정방향 추론 방법으로 추론 서비스에서 필요한 지식데이터들을 생성하는 역할을 한다. 본 모델은 DBMS를 이용하여 대용량의 지식 데이터를 저장할 수 있으며, 추론 규칙에 따른 정방향 추론을 통해 지식 모델을 확장하기 때문에 데이터의 정합성이 보장된다.

  • In this paper, the I/Q mismatch problem between the transmission line and antenna switch is solved by a new CPW matching circuit for a VoWLAN terminal with 54 Mbps communication speed through the IEEE 802.11 b/g CCK/OFDM. I/Q performances with the new matching circuit are analyzed and improved by the output spectrum mask, the characteristics of the EVM(Error Vector Magnitude) due to the nonlinear CCK/OFDM demodulation data, and receiver's sensitivity.

  • 전력선통신(PLC: Power Line Communication)은 기존의 전기선을 이용하여 별도의 전용선 설치 없이 통신이 가능한 기술로서 효율적인 PLC 통신을 위해서는 가장 기본적인 기저대역의 송, 수신부상 의 원활한 데이터 전송이 이루어져야 한다. 본 논문에서는 확산대역방식의 PLC통신시스템의 수신부의 핵심모듈인 정합필터를 HDL(hardware description language)을 이용한 디지털 하드웨어인 에 위한 디지털 하드웨어인 FPGA(Field Programmable Gate Array)클 이용하여 구현하였다. 즉, 본 논문에서는 BPSK(Binary Phase Shift Keying) 변조 및 256칩 확산코드를 이용한 확산변조파형에 대한 디지털 정합필터를 FPGA로 구현하고 상관특성을 확인함으로서 모의실험상의 파형과 구현된 하드웨어상의 상관파형이 일치함을 확인하였다.

  • 코로나 19 팬데믹으로 인한 4차 산업혁명이 앞당겨지고 초현실, 초실감, 초연결 사회 등의 키워드가 대두되고 언택트(Untact) 시대가 일상생활에 불가항력적으로 접목되면서 몰입감과 흥미성, 유희성을 목적으로 한 콘텐츠들이 다양하게 활성화되었다. 특히, 메타버스(Metaverse) 플랫폼이 빠르게 진화하면서 물리적 현실과 디지털 가상성을 융합한 다중 사용자에게 다양한 경험이 가능한 서비스가 주목받고 있다. 메타버스는 다중 사용자 플랫폼에서 원활한 커뮤니케이션과 대규모 멀티플레이가 가능한 온라인 비디오 게임, 오픈 게임 월드, AR 협업 공간과 호환되는 사회적, 몰입감이 있는 VR(Virtual Reality) 플랫폼 서비스 중 하나이다. 우리는 메타버스 플랫폼 개발 시 필요로 하는 요소기술 및 3D 데이터 획득을 통한 VR 콘텐츠를 설계하고 구현하고자 한다. 1) 콘텐츠 시나리오 및 사용자 인터랙션 설계; 2) 볼류메트릭 캡처를 활용한 실사 기반의 동적(Dynamic) 데이터 생성; 3) 컴퓨터 그래픽 기반 가상공간 설계 및 정적(Static)데이터 요소기술 개발; 4) 가상 현실 공간 데이터와 볼류메트릭 캡처의 실사 데이터 정합; 5) 공간 데이터 시각화 생성 및 모듈형 공간 이동 제어 기능 개발; 최종적으로 6) VR 환경에서의 콘텐츠 구현을 목표로 한다.

Design of a GaN HEMT 4 W Miniaturized Power Amplifier Module for WiMAX Band (WiMAX 대역 GaN HEMT 4 W 소형 전력증폭기 모듈 설계)

  • In this paper, a design and fabrication of 4 W power amplifier for the WiMAX frequency band(2.3~2.7 GHz) are presented. The adopted active device is a commercially available GaN HEMT chip of Triquint Company, which is recently released. The optimum input and output impedances are extracted for power amplifier design using a specially self-designed tuning jig. Using the adopted impedances value, class-F power amplifier was designed based on EM simulation. For integration and matching in the small package module, spiral inductors and interdigital capacitors are used. The fabricated power amplifier with $4.4{\times}4.4\;mm^2$ shows the efficiency above 50 % and harmonic suppression above 40 dBc for second(2nd) and third(3rd) harmonic at the output power of 36 dBm.

Three Dimensional Implementation of Intelligent Transportation System Radio Frequency Module Packages with Pad Area Array (PAA(Pad Area Array)을 이용한 ITS RF 모듈의 3차원적 패키지 구현)

  • This paper presents three dimensional structure of RF packages and the improvement effect of its electrical characteristics when implementing RF transceivers. We divided RF modules into several subunits following each subunit function based on the partitioning algorithm which suggests a method of three dimension stacking interconnection, PAA(pad area array) interconnection and stacking of three dimensional RF package structures. 224MHz ITS(Intelligent Transportation System) RF module subdivided into subunits of functional blocks of a receiver(RX), a transmitter(TX), a phase locked loop(PLL) and power(PWR) unit, simultaneously meeting the requirements of impedance characteristic and system stability. Each sub­functional unit has its own frequency region of 224MHz, 21.4MHz, and 450KHz~DC. The signal gain of receiver and transmitter unit showed 18.9㏈, 23.9㏈. PLL and PWR modules also provided stable phase locking, constant voltages which agree with design specifications and maximize their characteristics. The RF module of three dimension stacking structure showed $48cm^3$, 76.9% reduction in volume and 4.8cm, 28.4% in net length, 41.8$^{\circ}C$, 37% in maximum operating temperature, respectively. We have found that three dimensional PAA package structure is able to produce high speed, high density, low power characteristics and to improve its functional characteristics by subdividing RF modules according to the subunit function and the operating frequency, and the features of physical volume, electrical characteristics, and thermal conditions compared to two dimensional RF circuit modules.
