3D Motion of Objects in an Image Using Vanishing Points (소실점을 이용한 2차원 영상의 물체 변환)

  • This paper addresses a method of enabling objects in an image to have apparent 3D motion. Many researchers have solved this issue by reconstructing 3D model from several images using image-based modeling techniques, or building a cube-modeled scene from camera calibration using vanishing points. This paper, however, presents the possibility of image-based motion without exact 3D information of scene geometry and camera calibration. The proposed system considers the image plane as a projective plane with respect to a view point and models a 2D frame of a projected 3D object using only lines and points. And a modeled frame refers to its vanishing points as local coordinates when it is transformed.

  • Precise and systematic mapping techniques are required for mapping object-oriented artifacts into a platform-specific design. An effective and systematic mapping approach for an adequate platform or programming language in needed, because the characteristics of an initial design are independent from an implementation language and a platform. In this paper, we propose systematic and concrete methods, guidelines, and design patterns that can be used to design business operations at EJB (Enterprise JavaBeans) source code level. We show how various EJB mechanism can be utilized in designing business operations for beans. We believe these proposed methods can yield high-performance EJB applications that can also be well maintainable.

  • In this paper, a camera modeling method that utilizes ephemeris data and imaging geometry is presented. The proposed method constructs a mathematical model only with parameters that are contained in the leader file and does not require any ground control points for model construction. Control points are only needed to eliminate geolocation error of the model that is originated from errors in the parameters that are used in model construction. With few (one or two) of control points, RMS error of less than pixel size can be obtained and control points are not necessarily uniformly distributed over the entire scene. This advantage is crucial in large project and will enable to reduce project cost dramatically.

  • In the modeling processes of 3D computer animation, methods to build optimal work conditions to realize real forms for more efficient works have been advanced. Digital sculpting software, published in 1999, ZBrush has been positioned as an essential factor in character model work requiring of realistic descriptions through different manufacturing methods from previous modeling work processes and easy shape realization. Their functional areas are expanding. So, in this production case paper, as a method to product more optimized animation character models, the efficiency of production method linking digital sculpting software (Z-Brush) and animation production software (Maya) was deliberated and its consequences and implications are suggested. To this end, first the technical features of polygon modeling and Retopology were reviewed. Second, based on it, the efficiency of animation character modeling work processes through step linking ZBrush and Maya suggested in this paper was analyzed. Third, based on the features drawn before, in order to prove the hypothesis on modeling optimization method suggested in this paper, the production process of character Dumvee from a short animation film, 'Cula & Mina' was analyzed as an example. Through this study, it was found that technical approach easiness and high level of completion could be realized through two software linked work processes. This study is considered to be a reference for optimizing production process of related industries or modeling-related classes by deliberating different modeling process linked systems.

A Study on Spatial Modeling Framework for Marine GIS (에이전트 기반의 해양공간정보시스템 모델링 연구)

  • With a rapid growing of information networks and development achievements in mobile technology the spatial information is one of the most important resources for modern daily life. But the speed of spatial information technology trends are far from the real service demands as compared to the other relevant fields, and it would be natural that this unbalanced gap between the supply and demand of spatial information technology is being resulted from the absence of appropriate modeling concepts at some extents. In this paper there would be shown a new approaching model for the spatial information system based on agent concepts, which is able to perform some spatial tasks if properly implemented afterward. And to give resonable background of the new modeling framework here also some known critics for the commonly used modeling approaches when they applied to spatial information modeling followed by several alternative requirements for a good spatial modeling framework. And also there would be some considerations for applying this approach to the marine geographic information communities.

  • Earth sciences is undergoing a gradual but massive shift from description of the earth and earth systems, toward process modeling, simulation, and process visualization. This shift is very challenging because the underlying physical and chemical processes are often nonlinear and coupled. In addition, we are especially challenged when the processes take place in strongly heterogeneous systems. An example is two-phase fluid flow in rocks, which is a nonlinear, coupled and time-dependent problem and occurs in complex porous media. To understand and simulate these complex processes, the knowledge of underlying pore-scale processes is essential. This paper presents a new attempt to use pore-scale simulations for understanding physical properties of rocks. A rigorous pore-scale simulator requires three important traits: reliability, efficiency, and ability to handle complex microstructures. We use the Lattice-Boltzmann (LB) method for singleand two-phase flow properties, finite-element methods (FEM) for elastic and electrical properties of rocks. These rigorous pore-scale simulators can significantly complement the physical laboratory, with several distinct advantages: (1) rigorous prediction of the physical properties, (2) interrelations among the different rock properties in a given pore geometry, and (3) simulation of dynamic problems, which describe coupled, nonlinear, transient and complex behavior of Earth systems.

  • With the growing usage of the networks, the users in the Internet uses some kinds of web server. They confused that each web server uses the different user ID and passwords. To solve these problems, SSO (Single Sign-On) solution is introduced. We presents the modeling methods which are efficiently constructed the network management models. We constructed the intrusion detection systems and firewalls using the SSO. This architecture is efficient to manage the network usage and control. SSO solution designed on the small scale Intranet. CA server in the 550 that depends on PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) is used to issue the certificates. SHTTP based on SSL (Secure Socket Layer) is used to protect the data between certificate server and the intranet users.

  • 최근에 미국에서 출범한 수질 교환 법은 수질기준을 혁신적인 접근방법으로 만족시키는 법이다. 이 법안은 수질기준을 초과하지 않는 조건에서 한 유역 안 다른 지점들의 점 오염과 비점오염 배출의 교환을 허용한다. 이 법안을 적용하기 위한 방법을 도출하기 위하여 많은 시험 프로그램을 운영하고 있지만 여전히 실제 교환은 상대적으로 적게 이루어지고 있다. 또한 하천내의 비 점오염량의 불확실성으로 인하여 교환 지점을 선정하고 적용하는 데에 큰 어려움이 있다. Hydrological Simulation Program-Fortran (HSPF)은 Soil and Water Assessement Tool (SWAT)과 함께 미국 하천 모델링에 많이 쓰이는 유역 모델로써 특히 HSPF는 각각의 토지 피복도의 퍼센트 투수량을 지정함으로써 도시지역의 유출량을 시뮬레이션 하는데 강점이 있다. 미국 중서부 미조리 주의 퍼시픽시를 포함하고 있는 Brush Creek 유역을 선택하여 퍼시픽시의 도시화 증가로 인한 Brush Creek 유역의 상류와 하류지역의 유출량 및 Sediment 변화를 예측하여 수질관리법을 적용하는 방법을 연구하였다. 이 연구의 특징은 원격탐사 이미지 (QuickBird)로 구현한 최근의 토지 이용을 미래의 도시지역으로 전환한 토지이용도를 사용함으로서 특정 유역을 가장 정확하게 이해하는 시뮬레이션을 가능하도록 한다는 점이다. 각각의 토지이용에서 도시화가 3가지의 강도를 가지고 진행된다는 시나리오를 이용하여 모델링을 하였고 이로 인해 계산된 유출량과 Sediment 양을 이용하여 각각의 토지이용 변화 별 수질 교환단위를 도출 하였다.

  • 최근 기업들은 자사의 핵심역량을 극대화하기 위하여 배송업무를 포함한 물류업무를 전문적인 제3자에게 위탁하는 아웃소싱이 확대되는 추세이다. 특히 제조업체는 제품 배송업무의 아웃소싱을 다양한 형태로 추진할 수 있기 때문에 아웃소싱 계획단계에서 최적의 업무프로세스 모델링이 매우 중요하며, 자사에 맞는 아웃소싱 모델을 선정하도록 의사결정을 지원할 체계적인 접근방법이 필요하다. 본 연구는 배송업무 아웃소싱 현황을 조망하고, 배송업무 아웃소싱을 위한 고려사항과 업무절차를 배송전문업체 선정단계와 운영단계, 그리고 성과평가단계로 구분하여 제시한다.

Efficient Sparse Matrix-Matrix Multiplication for circuit optimization (회로 최적화를 위한 효율적인 희소 행렬 간 곱셈 연산에 관한 연구)

  • 행렬 연산은 계산 과학을 사용하는 공학 물리, 화학, 생명 과학, 경제학 등에서 다양하게 사용되고 있으며 이 행렬은 크기가 크고 대부분의 원소가 0 값을 갖는 희소 행렬일 경우가 많다. 본 논문에서는 희소 행렬의 연산 중, 회로 설계 시 최적화 과정에 사용되는 연산에서 문제가 되는 희소 행렬 A 와 블록 대각 행렬 H에 대하여 AH$A^{T}$ 의 연산을 효율적으로 행하는 방법들을 검토하고 메모리 접근 횟수를 모델링하여 수행 속도와 메모리 사용량 면에서 비교한다.
