A Study on the Research Trends for Smart City using Topic Modeling (토픽 모델링을 활용한 스마트시티 연구동향 분석)

  • This study aims to analyze the research trends on Smart City and to present implications to policy maker, industry professional, and researcher. Cities around globe have undergone the rapid progress in urbanization and the consequent dramatic increase in urban dwellings over the past few decades, and faced many urban problems in such areas as transportation, environment and housing. Cities around the globe are in a hurry to introduce Smart City to pursue a common goal of solving these urban problems and improving the quality of their lives. However, various conceptual approaches to smart city are causing uncertainty in setting policy goals and establishing direction for implementation. The study collected 11,527 papers titled "Smart City(cities)" from the Scopus DB and Springer DB, and then analyze research status, topic, trends based on abstracts and publication date(year) information using the LDA based Topic Modeling approaches. Research topics are classified into three categories(Services, Technologies, and User Perspective) and eight regarding topics. Out of eight topics, citizen-driven innovation is the most frequently referred. Additional topic network analysis reveals that data and privacy/security are the most prevailing topics affecting others. This study is expected to helps understand the trends of Smart City researches and predict the future researches.

  • 비정형적인 방법에 의해 설계되어진 프로토콜은 불확실성과 오류를 내포하고 있을 수 있으며, 이러한 특성은 프로토콜의 안전성에 매우 심각한 영향을 미치게 된다. 또한 구형되어진 프로토콜 명세에 만족하게 구현되어졌는지를 확인하는 것 또한 프로토콜 엔지니어링에서 매우 중요한 부분이다. 즉, 프로토콜 명세의 정형검정과 적합성 시험은 프로토콜 개발 과정에서 매우 중요한 부분이다. 본 논문에서는 유한상태 레이블 천이시스템(LTS Labeled Transition System)으로 명세화된 철도 신호제어용 프로토콜 Type 1 모델에 대한 적합성 시험을 위하여 프로토콜 제어흐름을 IOFSM으로 모델링하였으며, 이 명세로부터 UIO 방법에 의한 적합성 시험계열 생성방법을 제시하였다. 또한, 프로토콜 검정 및 적합성 시험 방법을 실제 프로토콜의 정확성을 분석하는 데 사용할 수 있도록 프로토콜 검정기와 시험기를Windows 환경하에서 GUI기능에 의해 Window상에 구현되도록 하여 프로토콜 명세의 정확성을 평가할 수 있게 하였다.

The Application of Orbital Modeling and Rational Function Model for Ground Coordinate from High Resolution Satellite Data (고해상도 인공위성데이터로부터 지상좌표 결정을 위한 궤도모델링 및 RFM기법 적용)

  • Generation of accurate ground coordinates from high resolution satellite image are becoming increasingly of interest. The primary focus of this paper is to compute satellite direct sensor model (DSM) and rational function model (RFM) for accurate generation of ground coordinates from high resolution satellite images. Being based on this we presented an algorithm to be able to efficiently ground coordinates about large area with introducing RFM(rational function model) method applied to rigorous sensor modeling standing on basis of satellite orbit dynamics and collinearity equation, and sensor modeling of high-resolution satellite data like IKONOS, QuickBird, KOMPSAT-2 and others. The general high resolution satellite measures the position, velocity and attitude data of satellite using star, gyro, and GPS sensors.

  • We propose the method for kinematic and dynamic modeling and Path-tracking of four-wheeled mobile robots with 2 d.o.f having the limited drive-torques. Controllability of wheeled-mobile robots is revealed by using the kinematic model. Instantaneously coincident coordinate system, force/torque propagation and Newton's equilibrium law are used to induce the dynamic model. When drive-torques generated by inverse dynamics exceed the limitation, we make wheeled-mobile robots follow the reference path by modifying the planned reference trajectory with time-scaling. The controller is introduced to compensate for error owing to modeling uncertainty and measurement noise. And simulation results prove that the method proposed by this paper is efficient.

  • This study aims to analyze online game user's game items transacting behaviors for the two game genres such as MMORPG and sports game. For the sake of conducting the analysis, we adopted a fuzzy logic agent-based modeling. In the online game fields, game items transactions are crucial to game company's profitability. However, there are lack of previous studies investigating the online game user's game items transacting activities. Since many factors need to be addressed in a complicated way, ABM (agent-based modeling) simulation mechanism is adopted. Besides, a fuzzy logic is also considered due to the fact that a number of uncertainties and ambiguities exist with respect to online game user's complex behaviors in transacting game items. Simulation results from applying the fuzzy logic ABM method revealed that MMORPG game users are motivated to pay expensive price for high-performance game items, while sports game users tend to transact game items within a reasonable price range. We could conclude that the proposed fuzzy logic ABM simulation mechanism proved to be very useful in organizing an effective strategy for online game items management and customers retention.

  • 제조환경 정보의 급속한 변화는 변화에 유연(flexible)하게 대처할 수 있는 제조관리 시스템 개발을 요구하게 되었으며 이를 위한 방법으로 객체지향 개발방법론을 이용한 제조관리 시스템이 구축되어 시스템 구성요소들의 재사용성, 확장성, 유연성을 높일 수 있게 되었다. 그러나 개발된 객체지향 제조관리 시스템은 과거 데이터와 불확실한 데이터를 바탕으로 개발된 시스템이므로 시스템의 타당성 및 효율성의 검증을 위한 방법으로 객체지향 시뮬레이터를 개발하였다. 객체지향 시뮬레이터는 개발된 제조관리 시스템이 현장에 구축되었을 때 발생될 수 있는 문제점을 사전에 검출할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 시스템의 성능을 사전에 측정할 수 있어 제조관리 시스템의 개발비용을 단축할 수 있게 된다. 본 연구에서는 가상공장의 특성을 구현한 가상공장(virtual factory) 콤포넌트, 제조관리 시스템과의 인터페이스를 담당하는 커넥터(connector) 콤포넌트, 제조시스템의 구성환경을 모델링하는 컨피규레이션(configuration) 콤포넌트, 시뮬레이션의 시간전진을 담당하는 시계(clock) 콤포넌트 등으로 이루어진 객체지향 시뮬레이션의 프레임워크(framework)를 제시하고, 제조관리 시스템과 연계된 시뮬레이션을 통해 제조관리 시스템의 검증, 평가 방안으로 이용하였다.

Metadata Management Method for Consistency and Recency in Digital Library (디지탈 도서관 환경에서 일관성과 최근성을 고려한 메타데이타 관리 방법)

  • The Digital Library is the integrated system of Information Retrieval System(IRS) and Database Management system(DBMS). In the Digital Library environment where dynamic query and update processes are required, however, the existing transaction management methods cause the following problems. First, since the traditional consistency criteria is too restrictive, it causes increment of query processing time and cannot guarantee the reflection of recency. Second, query result could be unreliable because the consistency criteria between source data and metadata is not defined. This paper models the access to metadata based on Dublin Core as query transactions and update transactions, and gives the efficient method to manage them. Particularly, this paper describes the consistency criteria of metadata which takes it Into consideration the consistency between the result of query transaction and status of source data in the Digital Library, that is different from the consistency criteria in traditional transaction management. It also presents analysis of the view point of query transaction to reflect recency and proposes metadata management to guarantee recency within metadata consistency.

Mechanical Properties of Concrete with Statistical Variations (통계적 분산을 고려한 콘크리트의 역학적 특성)

  • The randomness in the strength of a RC member is caused mainly by the variability of the mechanical properties of concrete and steel, the dimensions of concrete cross sections, and the placement of reinforcing bars and so on . Among those variations, the randomness and uncertainty of mechanical properties of concrete, such as compressive strength, tensile strength, and elastic modulus give the most significant influences and show relatively large statistical variations. In Korea, there has been little effort for the construction of its own statistical models for mechanical properties of concrete and steel, thus the foreign data have been utilized till now. In this paper, variability of compressive strength, tensile strength and elastic modulus of normal-weight structural concrete with various specified design compressive strength levels are examined based on the data obtained from a number of published and unpublished sources in this country and additional laboratory tests done by the authors. The inherent probabilistic models for compressive and tensile strength of normal-weight concrete are proposed as Gaussian distribution. Also, the relationships between compressive and splitting tensile strength and between compressive strength and elastic modulus in current KCI Code are verified and new ones are suggested based on local data.

Total Management System for Earth Retaining Structures Using Observational Method (지반굴착 흙막이공의 정보화시공 종합관리 시스템)

  • Observational results of ground movement during the construction were very different from those predicted during the analysis of design step because of the uncertainty of the numerical analysis modelling, the soil parameter, and the condition of a construction field, etc., however accurately numerical analysis method was applied for prediction of ground movement per the excavation step. Therefore, the management system through the construction field measurement should be achieved for grasping the situation during the excavation. Until now, the measurement system restricted by 'Absolute Value Management system'analyzing only the stability of present step has been executed. So, it was difficult to expect the prediction of ground movement fur the next excavation step. In this situation, this study developed 'The Management system TOMAS-EXCAV'consisted of 'Absolute value management system'analyzing the stability of present step and 'Prediction management system'expecting the ground movement of next excavation step and analyzing the stability of next excavation step by 'Back Analysis'. TOMAS-EXCAV could be applied to all the uncertainty of earth retaining structures analysis by connecting 'Forward analysis program'and 'Back analysis program'and optimizing the main design variables using SQP-MMFD optimization method through measurement results. The applicability of TOMAS-EXCAV was confirmed by back analysis selecting two earth retains construction fields.

Design of the Fuzzy Logic Cross-Coupled Controller using a New Contouring Modeling (새로운 윤곽 모델링에 의한 퍼지논리형 상호결합제어기 설계)

  • This paper proposes a fuzzy logic cross-coupled controller using a new contouring modeling for a two-axis servo system. The general decoupled control approach may result in degraded contouring performance due to such factors as mismatch of axial dynamics and axial loop gains. In practice, such systems contain many uncertainties. The cross-coupled controller utilizes all axis position error information simultaneously to produce accurate contours. However, the conventional cross-coupled controllers cannot overcome friction, backlash, and parameter variations. Also since, it is difficult to obtain an accurate mathematical model of multi-axis system, here we investigate a fuzzy logic cross-coupled controller of servo system. In addition, new contouring error vector computation method is presented. The experimental results are presented to illustrate the performance of the proposed algorithm.
