Exploration Factors Affecting Maintenance of the Effect of Mentoring for Beginning Science Teachers (초임 과학 교사에 대한 멘토링 효과 지속에 영향을 미치는 요인 탐색)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the factors that affect the maintenance of the effect of mentoring for beginning science teachers. Mentee teachers for this study were ten mentee teachers who took part in the collaborative mentoring from 2014 to 2018. For this study, the videos of the first and fifth classes submitted during the mentoring program, mentors and mentees' journals, the videos of the classes recorded in 2019, questionnaires about reflection on the mentoring program, and interview materials were collected and analyzed. The result of this study is as follows. First, the reflective thinking was sustained after the mentoring program, and this played a crucial role in maintaining the effects of the mentoring. The group that showed the improvement of RTOP score had reflective thinking and made reflective practice on their teaching. Most participants in the group created the classes of constructivism based on self-reflection on their classes. However, no positive changes in the classes occurred to mentee teachers who couldn't have reflective thinking. Second, reflective practices during the mentoring program exerted a strong influence on the teaching method of mentee teachers. The group of the improvement in RTOP score strived to apply student-centered model of instruction to their classes. It was showed that most mentee teachers in the group kept applying the student-centered model to their classes after the mentoring was completed. These results indicate reflective thinking and reflective practice are crucial factors to the effect of the mentoring and its maintenance.

A Study Analyzing the Effectiveness of a Prospective Librarian Mentorship Program (예비사서 멘토링 프로그램 운영사례 및 효과분석연구)

  • This study operated a mentoring program for future librarians and analyzed its effectiveness. As a result, first, the final goals of mentees were much more focused and specific in comparison with their initial goals, and the types of objectives they set for themselves became more in depth and subdivided. Second, the employment performance of the mentoring program was measured by comparing with the employment rate of students who had not participated in mentoring programs, and found that the employment rate of students scheduled to graduate who participated in the mentoring program was 83.33%, which is very high. Third, we compared the mentoring semester grades with the grades before mentoring; students' average score was 3.75 before mentoring, while after mentoring their average score improved slightly to 3.84. However, it was revealed that improvement is necessary in terms of mentoring period length and amount of supervision.

비대면 창업 멘토링 방식이 멘티의 만족도에 미치는 영향 분석

  • 2020년 2월 중순 이루 코로나 바이러스 2019(Covid-19)로 인하여 정부의 기술창업기업 지원 방식도 전반적으로 기존의 대면 방식에서 비대면 방식으로 전환하여 현재까지 대부분 진행되어 오고 있다. 창업기업에 대한 멘토링은 특히 멘티인 창업자와 멘토가 기존에 알고 있는 관계가 아닌 대부분 처음 만나는 관계의 확률이 높음에 따라 사전에 상호간에 라포(Rapport)가 형성되지 않은 상태에서 멘토링이 이루어진다. 이로 인해 Rapport가 형성이 안된 상태에서는 서로 호감을 느끼거나, 나아가 공감대 형성, 그리고 터놓고 이야기 하여, 서로 간의 대화가 충분히 감정적으로나 이성적으로 이해하기가 어려운 경우가 대부분이다. 이러한 경우에는 충분한 멘토링이 어려울 것으로 예상할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 창업 멘토링의 특수성을 감안해 볼 때 정부 기술창업지원 방식 중 기업의 성과를 높이기 위한 멘토링 과정에서 대면 또는 비대면 방식의 방법 차이가 멘토링 만족도에 영향을 주는 것을 그 목적으로 한다. 본 연구는 창업 기업의 성과를 높이기 위한 중소벤처기업부의 도약패키지 사업 중 2019년과 2020년의 제품 아카데미 사업에 참여한 283명을 대면 방식이었던 2019년 211명과 비대면 방식이었던 2020년 72명의 창업 기업 멘티들의 학습 과정에서 발생하는 배운 내용을 실천하고자 하는 학습 전이 효과 경로에 차이가 발생하는 지에 대하여 분석하였다. 자기 기입 설문 방식으로 인해 발생할 수 있는 동일방법편의를 해결하고자 구조화된 설문지 구성할 때부터 응답자의 일관성 동기를 줄이려고 하였고, 통계분석 단계에서도 다수이 방법으로 측정하는 일반 CFA 모형을 활용하였다. 실증 분석결과 비대면 방식의 창업 멘토링 방식을 학습 전이 효과 경로 결과에 있어서 조절효과가 있음을 유의한 통계적 결과고 확인하고, 사후 검증을 통해 볼 때 등분산 가정이 되지 않은 상황에서 차이가 있음을 통계적으로 유의하게 나타났다.

창업 인재 양성을 위한 미국 SCORE 제도의 한국적 적용과 신 멘토 제도 연구

  • 본 연구에서는 해외의 대표적 성공적 멘토링 제도인 미국의 SCORE 제도를 벤치마킹하고, 한국의 멘토링 제도를 조사하여 한국의 실정에 맞고 인재 양성에 도움이 되는 새로운 멘토링 제도를 제시한다. 이를 통해 1. 훌륭한 멘토의 조건, 2. 성공적인 운영 방식, 3. 적절한 멘토링 운영 기관 형태, 4. 사회적 기업 창업 멘토링과 일반 영리 기업 창업 멘토링의 비교 및 발전 방향 등을 알아본다. 멘토링 제도의 연구를 통해 제안된 새로운 멘토링 방안과 구조를 토대로 기존의 멘토링 실시 기관의 운영체제, 방안이 개선되는 효과가 있을 것으로 기대된다. 이와 함께 새로운 멘토링 기관의 운영체제와 운영 방안을 국가 정책과 관련 기관들에 제시하는 의의가 있다. 특히 한국의 정부 중심 멘토링 제도 및 기관과 비교해서, 미국의 SCORE 제도가 민간 주도적 성격과 함께 대학교 중심으로 SCORE Center를 운영하고 기술 창업을 주도하는 것에 대한 비교를 통하여 한국 멘토링 거버넌스의 새로운 방향을 정책적으로도 제시한다.

  • 초등정보영재학생들은 서로 다른 특성과 수준을 가지고 있어 획일화된 교육으로는 그들의 능력을 효과적으로 돕는데 부족하다. 본 연구에서는 스크래치 프로그램을 활용하여 초등정보영재학생들의 개별적인 특성과 수준을 효과적으로 돕는 교육 방법으로 R&E 멘토링 프로그램을 적용해보고 그 효과와 확대적용 가능성을 탐색해 보았다. 그 결과 다음과 같은 시사점을 도출하였다. 첫째, 영재교육에서 R&E 멘토링 프로그램은 일반 영재교육 프로그램의 보완적인 프로그램으로 적극 도입할 필요가 있다. 둘째, R&E 멘토링 프로그램은 영재학생들의 자기주도적 학습능력, 동기유발을 통한 몰입 및 과제집착력, 문제해결력과 컴퓨팅적 사고력을 동시에 길러 줄 수 있는 방법이 될 수 있다. 셋째, 본 연구를 통해 R&E 멘토링 프로그램은 영재학생들의 수준별, 개별적 특성을 고려한 수업이 가능함에 그 효과성을 찾아볼 수 있다.

  • In advance of Knowledge Information Society, mentoring is becoming an efficient method for developing and managing human resources. There are several factors to improve the effect of mentoring. Among them, a matching mechanism that connects a mentee and a mentor is the most important in mentoring. In the existing e-mentoring systems, administrators rarely consider personal data. They match suitable mentors for mentees in a mandatory way, which reflects bad effects in the e-mentoring. In this paper, we propose new recommendation algorithms for matching by analyzing personal preferences for secondary school students to improve the effects of the mentoring. In addition, we compare our algorithms with the existing algorithms in terms of elaborateness, accordance, and diversity in order to prove the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms.

Effects of Mentoring Program's Development about New Nurses (신입간호사에 대한 멘토링 프로그램의 개발 효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a mentoring program to support the professional growth of new nurses and to check the effectiveness. This mentoring program was developed by research teams and mentoring professionals based on Benner's theory. The data was analyzed using SPSS 18.0 program. The average of satisfaction of mentoring program in the mentees is 4.31 higher than mentor as 3.77. The highest scored item was 'need of mentoring program', the lowest one was 'mentoring program period and number of meetings'. Finally based on the results of the research, the duration of the mentoring program was changed to the six months. A steady support of the organizational policy about mentoring program is required to secure an outstanding nursing workforce.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of mentoring program using logic model in university students. We surveyed 40 mentors who participated mentoring program in 2014. Data collection were open-ended questions. Questions was made of with a steps in logic model and content analysis was carried out. The results are as follows: first, according to the step of the inputs, many students questioned said that public relations, selection process, matching, orientations, activity costs was proper. Secondly, in the activities, it was showed that mentor met firstly mentee with teacher in school and mentoring activities comprised 80% of studying and 20% of counseling and experiencing. third, in the outputs, most of participants expressed satisfaction in mentoring period, time, place. Lastly, in the outcomes, this program affected both mentor and mentee with cognitive, emotional and behavior development. Consequentially, this results have influence on improvement of following mentoring programs.

  • This study is to analyze the nature of mentoring network of single mothers with dependent children and to show the mentoring network effect on mentoring function and empowerment applying social network approach. 439 single mothers with dependent children in Busan and Gyeongsangnam-do have been surveyed about mentoring network properties. The results are 1. The mentoring relationships between single mothers have been shown in various size and relationship characters. The out-degree of Their network is low, the range is narrow, and the tie-strength is weak. 2. When the effect of mentoring network characteristics on mentoring function has been analyzed, in career functions, the range of network and the strength of relationships are represented as significant variables among the mentoring network characteristics, in psychosocial functions, the size of network and the strength of relationships are shown as significant variables, and the inverted-U-shaped relationship according to the size of network has not been revealed. In role modeling function only the size of network is represented as a significant variable. 3. The direct effect of mentoring network of single mothers with dependent children has not been much on empowerment and the career related function among mentoring functions has been revealed as the variable, which affect on empowerment. Based on these results the suggestions and implementations are mentioned in this paper.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the educational effect of learning mentoring conducted by EBS for elementary and middle school students, the changes in self-directed learning skills, emotional stability and learning effect were analyzed for 425 students who participated in the EBS learning mentoring. As a result, There was no statistically significant difference in the educational effect according to the mentoring service period, method, and frequency, and there was a statistically significant difference in self-directed learning ability according to the mentoring time. As a result of analyzing the effect of the perception of the mentor on the educational effect, the more positive the mentor and the more positive the mentor role, the higher the self-directed learning ability and emotional stability. As for the learning effect, mentoring satisfaction had the greatest influence on the learning effect of Korean, English, and mathematics. The mentor role was affecting the Korean language and mathematics. Therefore, in order to reduce the learning gap of underprivileged students in the distance learning situation, the EBS learning mentoring project should be continuously promoted, and the mentoring period and the number of students and teachers participating in mentoring should be significantly increased.
