Metadata is data about data that is used to mange data itself. As applications based on DBMS are increased, it is suggested that metadata model and metadata interchange model to manage metadata in DBMS. but metadata which is in the form of XML (eXtensible Markup Language) document is generally stored into RDBMS. Therefore In this paper, as for the method to store metadata of RDBMS into OODBMS, we design metadata model, metadata interchange model and implement new repository system. The metadata of RDBMS is translated into in the form of XML Document and integrated into XML Data Server on OODBMS, eXcelon and executes retrieval metadata information about RDBMS by XQL(XML Query Language). So It is possible to searchm edit a metadata. The metadata of XML documents stored in eXcelon is easily made to be printed in web browser by applying a XSL (extensible StyleSheets Language). So we can have a detail information about property of metadata in DBMS.

이동 에이전트는 에이전트 코드 자체가 서버로 이동하여 주어진 작업을 수행한다. 이 때 이동 에이전트의 노드 이주 방법은 분산 시스템의 전체 성능에 큰 영향을 줄 수 있는 요소가 된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 네이밍 에이전트의 메타데이터를 이용한 이동 에이전트의 적응적 이주 경로 기법을 제안한다. 제안 기법에서 노드 이주의 선택은 참조된 메타데이터의 정보에 의존하며 이주 정보의 신뢰성은 멀티 에이전트의 각 에이전트 시스템들의 상호 협력 및 메타데이터 갱신 방법에 의해 결정된다. 이를 위해 적중 문건 수, 적중률, 노드 처리 및 네트워크 지연 시간 등의 정보로 메타데이터를 설계하고 이를 이용하는 각 에이전트의 상호 관계와 적중 문건의 수에 따라 이동 에이전트 노드 이주를 결정하기 위한 메타데이터의 생성, 이용 및 갱신하는 방법을 기술하며, 순회 노드 수 결정 방법과 우선순위에 따른 이주 경로에 대한 방법을 제시한다.

현재 SCORM 콘텐츠를 제공하는 대부분의 시스템은 콘텐츠에서 사용하는 데이터가 교육목표를 가지는 콘텐츠 패키지에 함께 포함되어 있다. 그래서 본 논문에서는 콘텐츠에서 사용하는 이미지를 공유할 수 있는 SCORM 기반 이미지 콘텐츠 웹 서버를 제안한다. 제안한 웹 서버는 이미지 저장과 메타 데이터 생성, 이미지 검색, 이미지 프로세스의 기능을 가진다.

In this paper, we present a design and implementation of a personalized broadcasting system using TV-Anytime metadata for providing personalized services. The TV-Anytime specifies metadata schema, metadata coding and delivery, and provides service models to provide personalized broadcasting content services at anytime when users want to consume using metadata, which includes ECG (Electronic Content Guide) and content descriptive information in a PDR (Personal Digital Recorder)-centric environment. The proposed personalized broadcasting system consists of a server that provides metadata binary-coding, encapsulation and multiplexing, and a client terminal that takes charge of de-multiplexing, metadata decoding, and metadata processing for personalized content accessing and consumption. This paper presents the details of the design of each functional module, and the evaluation results with a set of service scenarios in an end-to-end broadcasting test-bed.

The number of broadcasting channels and contents are increasing with the arrival of digital broadcast and various broadcasting medium. However, there is a limit on searching of the program by using conventional program guide. Therefore, personalized broadcasting service to provide the environment, that user is able to consume his/her customized broadcasting contents at anytime, is standardized by TV-Anytime Forum. Especially. the structure of data broadcasting contents have different from that of AV contents. Therefore, it is necessary to new structure of the metadata for personalized data broadcasting service and new mechanism for data flow of broadcasting system. In this paper, we introduce a method for personalized data broadcasting service using TV-Anytime metadata.

본 연구에서는 모바일 클라이언트간의 효율적인 데이터 공유를 위해 SFA 서버의 중개 없이, 서버에 접속해 있는 클라이언트간의 데이터 전송이 가능토록 하기 위하여, 기존의 P2P 개념을 모바일 기반으로 확장하였다. 이때 기존의 제한된 메시지 전달방법을 탈피하여 JXTA 기반의 모바일 SFA 시스템을 구축하였다. 본 연구를 통해 개발된 모바일 P2P 서비스와 LBS 기술은, 모바일 사용자 간의 정보 공유가 신속하게 이루어지게 함으로써, 모바일 시스템의 효율성을 향상 시킨다는 점에서 의의를 가진다. 또한 본 논문에서는 플랫폼에 독립적이며, 네트워크 디바이스에 독립적인 환경을 지원하는 JXTA 네트워크 환경에서 분산된 자원을 효율적으로 검색하는 DHT(Distributed Hash Table) 알고리즘을 제안하고자 한다. DHT는 분산 해쉬 테이블을 이용하는 기법으로써, 모든 피어들은 공유하고 있는 자원들에 대한 메타 데이터를 해쉬 값에 의해 지정된 피어에게 전송하며, 메타데이터를 수신한 피어들은 다른 피어로부터 검색 요청이 들어올 경우 자원의 위치를 알려주는 방식으로 동작한다.

Recently, LINUX cluster file systems based on the storage area network (SAN) have been developed. In those systems, without using a central file server, multiple clients sharing the whole disk storage through Fibre Channel can freely access disk storage and act as file servers. Accordingly, they can offer advantages such as availability, load balancing, and scalability. In this paper, we describe metadata management schemes designed for a new SAN-based LINUX cluster file system. First, we present a new inode structure which is better than previous ones in disk block access time. Second, a new directory structure which uses extendible hashing is described. Third, we describe a novel scheme to manage free disk blocks, which is suitable for very large file systems. Finally, we present how we handle metadata journaling. Through performance evaluation, we show that our proposed schemes have better performance than previous ones.

본 논문은 모바일 단말기에 장착된 센서를 이용한 QR코드 기반의 인터랙티브한 모바일 증강현실 시스템을 제안한다. QR코드는 많은 양의 정보를 담을 수 있는 2차원 바코드이다. 본 논문에서 활용한 QR코드는 QR코드 메타데이터와 콘텐츠 상세 메타데이터로 구성된다. 메타 데이터를 사용함으로써 기존의 프로그램을 수정하지 않고 사용자가 쉽게 콘텐츠를 작성할 수 있다. 또한 상세 메타데이터를 이용해 마커위에 증강하고자 하는 모델의 정보를 데이터 서버로부터 획득한다. 기존의 증강현실시스템은 영상처리 기반의 카메라 자세 추정을 사용한다. 하지만 모바일 단말기에서는 낮은 사양의 컴퓨팅 파워와 많은 양의 알고리즘 계산으로인해 실시간 카메라 자세 추정이 힘들다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 모바일 단말기에 장착된 센서를 사용하여 카메라의 포즈를 계산 하여 증강현실을 구현한다.

도시 컴퓨팅에서의 파일 시스템은 하나의 메타 데이터 서버와 여러 개의 데이터 저장 서버로 구성되어 있다. 이 데이터 저장 서버의 자료구조를 사용자의 두 가지 질의에 맞게 구성함으로써 미리읽기의 성능을 향상시킨다. 또한 데이터의 손실을 방지하기 위해 복사본을 만들 때, 두 가지의 형태로 바꿔 저장함으로써 데이터의 손실을 막고 여러 질의에 대응하여 좋은 성능을 낼 수 있다.

As diverse web-based geos-spatial services are developed, the values of technologies and standards related to this trend are also emphasized. In this study, a prototype supporting mandatory components in OGC standard catalog service is designed and implemented, linked to PostgreSQL, open source DBMS. As the main features, XML metadata server was built with the helps of XML query functions in PostgreSQL. Given target applications with geo-spatial data sources and contents, this model can be applied, and it can be used for extension in other external web-based service systems or applications, because it supports international standard specifications.
