  • This thesis investigated majo and maja costumes of depicted in Francisco de Goya's paintings from the middle of 18th to the early 19th century, and presented the costumes defined as the upward flow from the lower classes to the upper classes. The study methodology selected those describing the maja and majo among the figure paintings, portraits and genre paintings by Goya that identify unique characteristics with the qualitative analysis of the cases of the upward flow with that affect the costume of the upper classes. The influence of the majo and maja costumes were outstanding in the shape of the outfits while the French style gown of the upper class women were one-piece dresses in shape, those of the maja were two-piece dresses that consisted of the upper and gather skirts. The costume was perfected by use of the mantilla or head kerchief, instead of the headdresses prevalent at those times. The majo's costume affected the men's costume of the upper classes in the shape of the outfits. Short coat and tight breeches were preferred to the loose ones as well as instead of a long coat. Rather than the wigs or tri-corn hat, the head kerchief and sash belt applied, which could be evidence of the upward flow as well as shows proof of the influence of majo and maja costumes.

  • This study aimed to assess the level of awareness on safe abortion among adolescent girls in rural area of Mahottari district of Nepal. A community based cross-sectional study was conducted in rural areas of Mahottari district of Southern Nepal between January and March 2019.A sample of 412 adolescent girls was selected using multi-stage cluster sampling. Multivariable logistic regression model was adapted to explore level of awareness among adolescent girls. This study found that 45.6% of adolescent girls had high awareness regarding safe abortion. The odds of awareness among the married adolescents was higher (AOR=2.16; 95% CI: 1.01-4.87) than unmarried adolescent whereas the odds of awareness among the adolescents who had education of secondary level and more had higher (AOR=2.21; 95%CI: 1.13-3.04) than those who had primary or lower secondary level of education. Similarly, the adolescents who had monthly family income of Nepalese Rupees (NRs.), 10,000-20,000 and more than NRs. 20,000 were respectively, 2.33 times (AOR = 2.33; 95% CI: 1.07-3.55) and 3.17 times (AOR = 3.17; 95% CI: 2.19-8.94) more likelihood to have high awareness regarding safe abortion than those their counterparts. The study showed that overall level of knowledge towards safe abortion was found low. Socio-demographic factors like marital status, level of education, and family income were the factors independently associated with level of awareness on safe abortion. Therefore, efforts should be exerted towards arising and improving the awareness of abortion care which may reduce unwanted pregnancy, abortion and other complications related to abortion.

  • Social Networking Service (SNS) is a part of our daily lives, with their positive and negative impacts. This study investigates SNS fatigue in men and women of different cultural backgrounds as well as the relationship between SNS fatigue and the intentions to cease SNS activities. The study results show that during SNS activities, women are more concerned for their reputation; participants with East Asian cultural backgrounds experience burdens with respect to relationships, and participants with Western cultural backgrounds experience fatigue with respect to privacy concerns. No statistical significance was identified between SNS fatigue and the intentions to cease SNS activity; although people experienced fatigue, they did not desire to stop SNS use. This study reveals that culture and gender impacts SNS fatigue, and few people quit SNS despite the fatigue.

  • This paper implemented quadcopter-type drone system and proposed the heuristic method for obtaining the optimum gain coefficients in order to minimize the settling time. Control system for quadcopter posture stabilization reads the posture data from accelerator and gyro sensor, revises the original posture data using Mahony filter, and drives 4 DC motors using PID controller. The first step of the proposed method is to obtain the gain coefficients using the Ziegler-Nichols method, and then determine the optimum gain coefficients using the heuristic method at the next 3 steps. The experimental result shows that the maximum overshoot decreases from 44.3 to 29.8 degrees and the settling time decreases from 2.6 to 1.7 seconds compared to the Ziegler-Nichols method. Therefore, we proved that the proposed method works well in quadcopter flight system with high motor noise while reducing trial and error to obtain the optimal PID gain coefficients.

  • This study is to calculate the proper angle for the optimal image of PNS Water's view on children, comparing and analyzing the PNS Water's projection angles between children and adults at every age. This study randomly selected 50 patients who visited the Medical Center from January to May in 2005, and examined the incidence path of central ray, taking a PNS Water's and skull trans-Lat. view in Water's filming position while attaching a lead ball mark on the Orbit, EAM, and acanthion of the patients's skull. And then, we calculated the incidence angles(Angle A) of the line connected from OML and the petrous ridge to the inferior margin of maxilla on general(random) patients's skull image, following the incidence path of central ray. Finally, we analyzed two pieces of the graphs at ages, developing out the patients' ideal images at PNS Water's filming position taken by a digital camera, and calculating the angle(Angle B) between OML and IP(Image Plate). The angle between OML and IP is about $43^{\circ} in 4-years-old children, which is higher than $37^{\circ}, as age increases the angle decreases, it goes to $37^{\circ} around 30 years of age. That is similar result to maxillary growth period. We can get better quality of Water's image for children when taking the PNS Water's view if we change the projection angles, considering maxillary growth for patients in every age stage.
