A design of hybrid type linear motor and measurement of the thrust force characteristics (Hybrid type linear motor의 설계와 추력특성시험)

  • A Hybrid type Linear Pulse Motor(LPM) for low cost is designed as single side stator structure. The static and dynamic characteristics measurement systems are designed. Experimental measurement systems, which measure the static and dynamic characteristic of the LPM, are uggested for the prototype LPM. It becomes known the values of the thrust forces. Finally the microstep drive method is adopted to the drive of prototype LPM. The waveform difference is measured between the microstep method and rectangular wave. From the experimental results, it can be confirmed that the repetitive ripple of the thrust force of the prototype LPM are reduced by taking the microstep drive method.

  • This paper proposes that 5 phase step motor drive system has high performance utilizing a micro step control with a current controller. Also this paper proposes an analog current controller to minimize size of the 5 phase step motor drive system. It has better advantages of cost and noise and heating than commercial products. As a result, Applying this system to position control robot the validity of suggested analog current controller and driver system is verified.

  • In this paper, suitablility of 1 GHz CISPR limits establishment fur broadcast communication quality protection is examined and the optimum turn step resolution of EUT for spurious measurement of frequency above 1 GHz to increase the accuracy of maximum values extraction is examined. As a result of 500 MHz and 1.7 GHz clock speed personal computer of micro-processor measurement, optimum turn step resolution extracted by National Institution of National Instrument of Standard & Technology(NIST) Koepke method is estimated 40 table positions per polarization in 500 MHz. And in case of 1.7 GHz, step size is 36 table positions. Prediction of turn step size required for fully scan method in gjgahertz measurement will increase measurement accuracy and reduce considerable measurement time as well.

  • This paper is to develop of 3D reverse engineering equipment. The existing equipment didn't use in the field popularly as it is too expensive. So in this study, we build the reverse engineering system of simple construction using a LM guide and a laser sensor. Therefore we measured product using this equipment, this result compared with the CAD date.

  • A microstrip bandpass filter using stepped impedance resonators and tapped input / output is realized with Teflon substrate, whose center frequency is 3.5 GHz and fractional bandwidth is 20%. In order to realize a wider bandwidth of 30%, the Crystal's design method and the input / output tapping scheme are used. Another microstrip filter designed as mentioned above is realized with Epsilam-10 substrate. This case shows good agreement between the theoretical responses and the measured ones.

  • This paper is the performance evaluation of reverse engineering system using simple mechanism. The existing equipment didn't use in the field popularly as it is too expensive. So we constructed the reverse engineering system of simple mechanism using the laser sensor, LM guide, micro step driver and control program. And we caught the Characteristics to measure some product. Finally we confirmed the precision to compare measured data and CAD date.

  • After finding the harmonic components by measuring the thrust force, which affects high accuracy position control during micro-step drive of LPM, the exciting current was calculated to remove them. Also the detent force being induced by magnetic flux density of permanent magnetic was measured. It was comfirmed that the tooth and slot width was designed properly thresh the analysis of detent force.

  • An embedded two-axis solar tracking system was developed by using AVR micro controller for enhancing solar energy utilization. The system consists of an Atmega128 micro controller, two step motors, two step drive modules, CdS sensors, GPS module and other accessories needed for functional stability. This system is controlled by both an astronomical method and an optical method. Initial operation is performed by the result from the astronomical method, which is followed by the fine controlled operation using the signals from Cds sensors. The GPS sensor generates UTC, longitude and latitude data where the solar tracker is installed. A database of solar altitude, azimuth, and sunrise and sunset times is provided by UART (Universal Asynchronous Receiver/Transmitter).

  • In this study, to reduce vibration of step motor we use Microstep control. Microstep control of stepmotor is usually thought of as an extension of conventional stepmotor control technology. The essence ofmicro stepping is that we divide the full step of a stepmotor into a number of substep called microstep and cause the stepmotor to move through a substep per input pulse. In ideal case, bycontrolling the individual phase currents of a two-phase step motor sinusoidally we can get uniform torque and step angles. But due to the monlinear characteristics of the step motor, we need to compensate current waveform to improve the overall smoothness of the conventional micro stepping system. We implement digital Pulse Width Modulation(PWM) driver to drive step motor and microphone was used for detecting vibration. Driver enables speed change automatically byincreasing or decreasing micro stepping ratio which we call Automatic Switching on the Fly. To compensate the torque harmonics, Neural Networks is applied to the system and we foundcompensated optimal input current waveform. Finally we can get smooth motion of step motor in a wide range of motor speed.
