  • This paper presents a fuzzy model-based adaptive approach for synchronization of chaotic systems which consist of the drive and response systems. Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model is employed to represent the chaotic drive and response systems. Since the parameters of the drive system are assumed unknown, we design the response system that estimates the parameters of the drive system by adaptive strategy. The adaptive law is derived to estimate the unknown parameters and its stability is guaranteed by Lyapunov stability theory. In addition, the controller in the response system contains two parts: one part that can stabilize the synchronization error dynamics and the other part that estimates the unknown parameters. Numerical examples, including Doffing oscillator and Lorenz attractor, are given to demonstrate the validity of the proposed adaptive synchronization approach.

  • This paper proposes a model of a voice communication using bluetooth and a mobile, and implements a hands-free for this model. A Proposed model uses bluetooth for a voice network, and is possible to share a voice with a great number of people using preemptive algorithm proposed in this paper. There are two types of models. One is a model only using a hands-free, the other is a model using a mobile. Second model uses a scatternet and a call forwarding service for a call on a voice communication. In case of using a scatternet, scatternet is composed of a piconet of a voice communication and a piconet of a call. In case of using a call forwarding service, the mobiles share information of each others before formation of a network.

  • This study looked at the World Martial Arts Mastership's 'non-face promotional media strategies and methods' after the Corona-19 fandom, and found out if they could be applied to other sports events. As a method of research, the promotional media strategy of martial arts mastership was divided into types and in-depth interviews with media agents were conducted. According to the study, hosting an online martial arts competition, building an untact convention platform, and a base education facility can be a successful contest with budget support. Martial arts branding, popularization and industrialization can be a new attempt if ideas and execution personnel are sufficient. If IT technology and Chungbuk martial arts infrastructure are combined, they will be able to pioneer a new model called 'non-face-to-face-to K-sports'.

  • Due to difficulty in minimally invasive surgery, training simulator is actively researched. A volumetric deformable organ is created by employing a shape-retaining chain-linked (S-chain) model to realize positioning a human organ model in virtual space. Since the main principle of the S-chain algorithm is that the repulsive force is proportional to the number of chain elements, the calculation time can be increased according to the magnitude of deformation. In this work, the advanced S-chain algorithm is used to calculate the repulsive torque according to spin motion. Finally, haptic architecture was constructed using this S-chain model by incorporating the virtual organ with a real master device, which allows the repulsive force and target position to be transferred to each other. The control performance of S-chain algorithm has been evaluated via experiment.

  • As the TSP(Traveling Salesman Problem) belongs to the class of NP-complete problems, various techniques are required for finding optimum or near optimum solution to the TSP. This paper designs a distributed genetic algorithm in order to reduce the execution time and obtain more near optimal using multi-slave model for the TSP. Especially, distributed genetic algorithms with multiple populations are difficult to configure because they are controlled by many parameters that affect their efficiency and accuracy. Among other things, one must decide the number and the size of the populations (demes), the rate of migration, the frequency of migrations, and the destination of the migrants. In this paper, I develop random dynamic migration rate that controls the size and the frequency of migrations. In addition to this, I design new migration policy that selects the destination of the migrants among the slaves

  • SoC(systnn-on-a-chip) requires high bandwidth system bus for performing multiple functions. Performance of the system is affected by bandwidth of the system bus. In this paper, for efficient management of the bus resource on a SoC platform, we present a latency model of the shared bus organized by multiple layers. Using the latency model, we can analyze latencies of the shared bus on a SoC. Moreover we evaluate a throughput of the bus and compare with needed throughput of the SoC platform including IPs such as MPEG or USB 2.0. And we can use the results as a criteria to find out an optimal bus architecture for the specific SoC design. For verifying accuracy of the proposed model, we compared the latencies with the simulation result from MaxSim tools. As the result of simulation, the accuracy of the IS model for a single layer and multiple layer are over $96\%\;and\;85\%$ respectively.

  • Electronic voting systems have been widely used in many countries around the world since the mid-1990s. In recent years, studies have applied blockchain to existing electronic voting systems in order to provide reliability, fairness, and transparency for voters. This approach is highly useful as a technology that promotes decentralized citizen participation. However, the existing electronic voting systems using blockchain have not sufficiently considered anonymity. Lack of anonymity acts as an important constraint in cases of small- and medium-sized voting, which is often required in decentralized citizen participation. In this study, we propose a model that provides anonymity to a voting system using blockchain by applying the concept of the master node in Dash cryptocurrency. First, we define the differences in the requirements of the transfer and voting systems in blockchain. We propose a parallel and autonomous model and algorithm to provide anonymity in the blockchain-that is, a decentralized development environment. In addition, a discussion of security and the environment for the proposed model is described.

  • In typical master/slave teleoperation systems, a human operator generally manipulates the master to control the slave through the visual information like camera image. However, the operator may get into trouble due to the limited visual information depending on the camera positions and the delay on the visual information because of low communication bandwidth. To cope with this inherit problem in the camera-based teleoperation system, this paper presents a teleoperation system using a reconstructed graphic model instead of the camera image. The proposed teleoperation system consists of a robot control module, a master module using a force-reflective joystick, and a graphic user interface (GUI) module. The graphic user interface module provides the operator with a 3D model reconstructed using a small set of sensing data received from the remote site. The proposed teleoperation system is evaluated through a peg-in-hole assembly task.

  • Purpose. The aim of this study was (1) to compare the reverse engineering technique with other existing measurement methods and (2) to analyze the effect of implant angulations and impression coping types on implant impression accuracy with reverse engineering technique. Materials and methods. Three different master models were fabricated and the distance between the two implant center points in parallel master model was measured with different three methods; digital caliper measurement (Group DC), optical measuring (Group OM), and reverse engineering technique (Group RE). The 90 experimental models were fabricated with three types of impression copings for the three different implant angulation and the angular and distance error rate were calculated. One-way ANOVA was used for comparison among the evaluation methods (P < .05). The error rates of experimental groups were analyzed by two-way ANOVA (P < .05). Results. While there was significant difference between Group DC and RE (P < .05), Group OM had no significant difference compared with other groups (P > .05). The standard deviations in reverse engineering were much lower than those of digital caliper and optical measurement. Hybrid groups had no significant difference from the pick-up groups in distance error rates (P > .05). Conclusion. The reverse engineering technique demonstrated its potential as an evaluation technique of 3D accuracy of impression techniques.
