A Method for Prediction of Tube Wear by Relative Displacement in the case of Inclined Contact between Tube & Support of Steam Generator (증기발생기에서 지지대와 세관의 경사면 접촉시 상대변위에 의한 세관 마모량 예측 방법)

  • When the tube contacted to support and antivibration bar of the steam generator in unclear power plant, the contact area is worn out by their relative displacement. In the study, wear depths of the tube inclined to tube support and antivibration bar are approximately predicted by a method using the contact load and relative displacement. In the case of the inclined contact, the results show wear depths of the steam generator tube predicted by the impact model are larger than those by the sliding model.

  • Calculation of wear depth with regard to the wear topology is peformed numerically Four typical wear topology, that is round, crescent, flat, and diamond types are adopted to represent the configuration of wear volume. Diamond and flat types are the most severe topology for wear depth history, whereas round and crescent types have small increasing rate of wear depth to the wear volume. Based on this study we can guess that the most severe wear phenomena happens to be upper side of U-tubes in the KSNP SG, because flat or diamond wear will be generated by the wearing motion between tubes and diagonal, vertical, horizontal strips. The misalignment of tube at the stage of manufacturing or distortion of upper structure due to the thermal expansion or vibration of upper structure such as diagonal, vertical, and horizontal strips will be one of the main causes of flat or diamond wear.

A STUDY ON WEAR RESISTANCE OF FLOWABLE COMPOSITE RESINS (유동성 복합레진의 마모저항성에 관한 연구)

  • When we use the flowable resin on the primary molars for quick handling, one of the most important property is the wear resistance. This study was performed to compare the wear resistance characteristics of four flowable composite resins [Arabesk flow (group 1), Tetric flow (group 2), Aeliteflow (group 3), Filtek flow (group 4)] to that of one control composite resin [Z100 (group 5)]. Specimen discs(n=10), 10mm wide and 2mm thick, were stored in distilled water at $37^{\circ}C$ for 7 days prior to testing. The specimens were subjected to 50,000 strokes at 2 Hz on the MTS system. During the test, the following parameters were maintained: the lateral excursion at 0.4mm, occlusal force at 2-100N with a force profile in the form of a half sine wave. The measurements of volume loss, depth of wear, and Vicker's hardness number of composite resins, and SEM observations of the polished and abraded surfaces were established. One-way ANOVA and Scheffe's multiple comparison test were employed to detect statistically significant differences among the flowable composite resin groups and the control composite group at P<.05.   • The important design factors for designing solid lubricating of dynamic seal are tightness, wear resistance and lubricant films. In this study, the effect factors influenced solid lubricating properties of the graphite were analyzed and wear behaviour caused for various test conditions was compared with results obtained from reciprocating wear tests. Also the optimal conditions for formation of lubricant films were investigate to evaluate wear properties of graphite materials. The repeated procedure for the formation of wear particles and lubricant films, and the dissipation of lubricant films was estimated the wear mechanisms with changes of wear depth. Therefore the lubricant film of graphite seal was generated by adhesion of wear particles on the worn surface and it was very useful in wear characteristics.

국산초경공구의 절삭성에 관한 비교 연구

  • 이제까지의 결과를 종합하여 보면 다음과 같은 결론을 얻을 수 있다. 1. 국산 비피막공구는 의 산에 비하여 많은 절삭영역에서 양호한 성능을 가지고 있다. 2. 국산 비피막공구 W2는 중간 절 삭 영역에서 국산 W1과 외산 W3, W4보다 우수한 성능을 나타낸다. 3. W1은 저속이거나 절삭 깊이가 클 때, W2보다 좋은 성능을 가진다. 4. W1은 대체로 플랭크 마모에 의하여, W2는 저속. 저이송에서는 프랭크마모 그리고 그밖의 영역에서는 크레이터 마모에 의하여 수명이 결정된다. 5. 국산 피막공구 CW7은 외산 CW10, 13에 비하여 내마모성이 매우 좋다. 6. 중간절삭영역에서 W 2의 표면조도는 W1, W3, W4에 비하여 훨씬 좋다. 7. 피막층 유무와 피막재질에 따른 국산 및 외산의 절삭력 차이는 거의 없다.

An in-vitro wear study of human enamel opposing heat-pressed ceramics (2종의 열가압 도재와 법랑질 간의 마모에 관한 연구)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare the wear characteristics of human enamel opposing 2 heat-pressed ceramics (e.max Press and Empress Esthetic), conventional feldspathic porcelain (Ceramco 3) and type III gold alloy. Material and methods: Intact cusps of extracted premolars were used for enamel specimens. Five disk samples were made for each of two heat-pressed ceramics groups, conventional feldspathic porcelain group and type III gold alloy group. Wear tests were conducted in distilled water using a pin-on-disk tribometer. The amount of enamel wear was determined by weighing the enamel specimens before and after wear tests, and the weight was converted to volumes by average density. The wear tracks were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy and surface profilometer to elucidate the wear characteristics. Results: 1. Ceramco 3 led to the greatest amount of enamel wear followed by Empress Esthetic, e.max Press and type III gold alloy. However, there was no significant difference between Ceramco 3 and Empress Esthetic (P>.05), and there were also no significant differences among Empress Esthetic, e.max Press and type III gold alloy (P>.05). 2. The average surface roughness of e.max Press after wear test was smallest followed by Empress Esthetic and Ceramco 3, but there was no significant difference between Empress Esthetic and Ceramco 3 (P>.05). 3. There were no significant differences among the depth of wear tracks of all the groups (P>.05). The group that showed the largest width of wear track was Ceramco 3 followed by Empress Esthetic, e.max Press and type III gold alloy. However, there was no significant difference between e.max Press and Empress Esthetic (P>.05), and there was also no significant difference between Empress Esthetic and Ceramco 3 (P>.05). Conclusion: Within the limits of this study, heat-pressed ceramics were not more abrasive than conventional feldspathic porcelain.

CHEMICAL DEGRADATION AND WEAR OF LIGHT-CURED COMPOSITE RESINS (광중합형 복합레진의 화학적 분해와 마모에 관한 연구)

  • The aim of this study was to evaluate the resistance to degradation and to compare the wear resistance characteristics of four esthetic restorative materials in an alkaline solution(0.1N NaOH). The composite resins studied were Composan LCM flow(Promedica, Germany). Clearfil ST(Kuraray medical, Japan), Durafi VS1(Heraeus Kulzer, U.S.A), Point 4(Kerr, U.S.A). The results were as follows : 1. The mass loss of each brand was $1.02{\sim}6.04%$ and highest value in Durafil VS$(6.04{\pm}0.29%)$. 2. The sequence of the degree of degradation layer depth was in descending order by Durafil VS, Clearfil ST, Point 4 and Composan LCM flow. There were significant differences between Point 4, Composan LCM flow and the others (p<0.001). 3. The sequence of the Si loss was in descending order by Clearfil ST, Durafil VS, Composan LCM flow and Point 4. There were significant differences among the materials (p<0.001). 4. On SEM, destruction of bonding between matrix and filler and on CLSM, the depth of degradation layer of specimen surface was observed. 5. The sequence of maximum wear depth was in descending order by Durafil VS, Composan LCM flow, Point 4 and Clearfil ST. There were no significant differences among the materials (p>0.001) 6. The correlation coefficient between Si loss and degradation layer depth (r=0.892, p<0.01) and Si loss and mass loss(r=0.736, p<0.01) were relatively high. These results indicate that hydrolytic degradation, wear and another factor may consider as evaluation factors of composite resins.

  • The disc cutter and cutterbit, which are the most important factors to increase the excavation efficiency of TBM, are key factors in the design and construction of the cutter head. The arrangement, spacing, number, size, and material of disc cutters suitable for the ground conditions determine the success or failure of TBM construction. The disc cutter, which is a representative consumable part in TBM construction, can cause enormous disruption to the construction cost as well as the construction cost unless accurate prediction of wear and replacement cycle is accompanied. Therefore, in this study, the method of calculating the replacement cycle of the disc cutter calculated at the time of design for the slurry shield TBM field, and the depth of wear and replacement location of the disc cutter that occurred during actual construction were compared by analyzing the field data. For a quantitative comparison, weathered soil/weathered rock, soft rock, and hard rock were classified according to the ground in the section showing constant excavation data, and the trajectory of circle was different depending on the location of the disc cutter, so it was compared and analyzed.

  • 공기 양수 펌프는 재생 에너지 분야, 부식 및 마모 특성의 유체의 활용 등 높은 신뢰성과 낮은 유지보수 비용을 필요로 하는 분야에서 그 사용이 증대되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 소형 공기 양수 펌프의 성능 평가 및 기초 데이터를 얻기 위한 연구로, D=0.012~0.019m, L=0.933m인 배관의 침수 깊이(${\beta}$=0.55,0.60,0.65,0.70)에 따른 수치해석을 수행하였다. 수치 해석 및 실험 결과는 유사성을 뛰었으며, 펌프의 사양과 효율은 공기의 질량 유속 비, 침수 깊이 비와 양수 배관의 길이에 관한 함수로 나타났다. 그리고 최대 물과 공기 질량 유속의 비는 각 배관에서 서로 다른 침수 깊이의 비로 나타났으며, 공기 양수 펌프의 최대 효율이 발생되는 운전조건은 슬러그(slug)와 슬러그 교반 정도(slug-churn flow regime)에 따라 나타남을 알 수 있었다.

  • In order to check the status of tire wear, a driver or auto mechanic generally checks tires with the naked eyes or with a coin. Those are easy for anyone but make it difficult to obtain precise information. But the result is a measure of mechanic wear out due to subjective judgment. Since we can not give correctly measure the stability of the tire. This may lead to an accident of the operator. Therefore, there is a need for a system checking tires precisely, accurately and easily, while making up for the aforementioned defect. This thesis has implemented a system with the aforementioned function. This system tire surface scanner data unit to determine the tread wear on the car and a storage unit for the data save, And a Web service unit allows the user to easily check the information.
