Obscene Material Searching Method in WWW (WWW상에서 음란물 검색기법)

  • World-Wide Web(WWW) is a protocol for changing information exchanges which is central to text documents in the existing network to make a multimedia data exchanges. It is possible for a beginner to search and access data which he wants to find as data were stored in the form of hypertext. The easiness for searching and accessing the multimedia data in WWW makes a important role for obscene materials to be toward generalization and multimedia and occurs social problems for them to be commercialized, while other researchers have actively studied the way to block effectively the site providing obscene materials for solving such problems. This paper presents and implements the blocking method for the sites having obscene material as it effectively search them. The proposed model was based on Link-Based information retrieval method and proved that it accomplished more efficient retrieval of relevant documents than probabilistic model when compared the one with the other which is known to generate the most correct results. The improvements in the average recall and precision ratio were shown as 12% and 8% respectively. Especially, the retrieval capability of relevant documents which include non-text data and have a few links increased highly.

An Enhanced Fast Handover Scheme for Real-Time Traffic in IPv6 Based WiBro Network (IPv6기반 와이브로 시스템에서 실시간 트래픽을 위한 개선된 빠른 핸드오버 방안)

  • In this paper, a new handover management scheme has been proposed to reduce handover latency and to support fast handover without packet losses, so that it may be applicable to the wireless mobile Internet system such as IPv6-based WiBro system. To minimize the handover latency in processing of movement detection, we propose the handover management scheme which simplifies the handover message exchanging procedure between mobile subscriber station (MSS) and network by integrating layer 2 and layer 3 handovers efficiently based on the layer2 information. To reduce the processing delay from new care-of-address (NCoA) configuration during handover, we propose that NCoA is created, distributed and managed by new access control router (NACR). In addition, in order to minimize the packet transmission delay and eliminate the packet losses, the proposed scheme employs a crossover router (CR) which is upper network located over PACR and NACR and employs the packet buffering for MSS. The simulation study shows that the proposed scheme achieves loss-free packet delivery and low latency in the environment of narrow overlapped cell area or high velocity of the MSS, comparing the performance with the conventional schemes.

  • In this paper, a CFNC (Complex Field Network Coding) scheme is presented, which focuses on improving transmission efficiency by reducing time slots that are needed to exchange data frames. Conventional CFNC scheme has the advantage of minimizing the number of time slots required for information exchanges. However, there exists serious performance deterioration because the transmit signals are interfered with each other. Moreover, when CFNC scheme is applied, the estimation and compensation performance of fine frequency offset severely deteriorates due to the multiple frequency offsets in received signal of relay node. In order to overcome these critical problems, we propose an improved CFNC scheme with modified maximum likelihood decision method which uses uplink transmit diversity. Also, we propose an enhanced fine frequency offset estimation method and a corresponding compensation method to deal with the multiple frequency offsets. Corresponding simulation results verify that the proposed methods are able to effectively solve the problems of CFNC scheme.

Performance of Prioritized Service Discipline based on a Hop Count for Optical Burst Wireless Switched Networks (홉 기반의 우선처리를 고려한 광버스트 무선 교환방식의 성능분석)

  • In this paper, we propose a new prioritized Optical Burst Switching (OBS) protocol based on a hop count, which can provide an efficient utilization in optical Wireless networks. Under several legacy schemes, a switch drops the burst with a shorter time among ones regardless of its traversed hop count. As a result, the dropped burst that have been traversed more hops might cause to waste bandwidth than the one traversed a few hops. Noting that this problem, we propose the Just Enough Time(JET) with a hop count scheme which can reduce the wasted bandwidth by prioritizing the burst traversed more hops over others. From the simulation result, we show that the proposed scheme is advantageous over the legacy schemes in terms of the burst blocking probability and the link utilization.

  • In this paper, we propose PEP based on cross-layer and network coding in digital video broadcasting-return channel via satellite (DVB-RCS) networks. In particular, we propose not only a scheme of cross-layer information exchange for interaction between TCP and the resource allocation (RA) scheme in the link layer but also a tuning algorithm for the TCP contention window (CWND) by using information on the RA in the link layer and the redundancy rate for network-coded packets. The simulation results show that TCP CWND can be adjusted by RA information in the proposed protocol. Furthermore, through the transmission of network-coded packets and the proposed CWND tuning algorithm, TCP throughput is enhanced in lossy environment due to user mobility without the unnecessary resource overhead.

  • ADS-B is a newly developed air surveillance technology to address the consistently increasing air traffic needs. ADS-B attracts attention for replacing or complementing a conventional radar since ADS-B can provide more accurate position information with a shorter interval when compared to the radar. However, as ADS-B uses wireless data links on exchanging information between an aircraft and a ground ADS-B system, and uses protocols without integrity support on exchanging information within the ground ADS-B system, a system which can monitor the operational status of an ADS-B system is essential. In this work, we design and implement an ADS-B monitoring system capable of displaying air traffic situation that can show the comprehensive air traffic situation while monitoring the operational status of the ADS-B system. The implemented ADS-B monitoring system has been verified with a configured ADS-B ground system by displaying ADS-B surveillance data, radar surveillance data, and flight information after receiving live surveillance data of in flight aircrafts, and virtual flight information data.

  • The Fast Handover in Hierarchical Mobile IPv6(F-HMIPv6) scheme provides a seamless handover in mobile IP networks effectively. However, there is a problem that the mobile node can lose its connectivity to the previous access router because of a sudden degradation of the link quality during fast handover procedure. Additionally, in many cases, the mobile node does not have enough time to exchange messages during the fast handover procedure, especially in case of movement with high speed during handover. In this paper, we propose a modification to F-HMIPv6 that significantly reduces the time to exchange messages during fast handover procedure and thereby increases the probability which the F-HMIPv6 can perform the fast handover in predictive mode.

  • Neighbor Discovery(ND) protocol is used to exchange an information of the neighboring nodes on the same link in the IPv6 protocol environment. For protecting the ND protocol, firstly utilizing Authentication Header(AH) of the IPsec protocol was proposed. But the method has some problems-uses of key exchange protocol is not available and it is hard to distribute manual keys. And then secondly the SEcure Neighbor Discovery(SEND) protocol which protects all of the ND message with digital signature was proposed. However, the digital signature technology on the basis of public key cryptography system is commonly known as requiring high cost, therefore it is expected that there is performance degradation in terms of the availability. In the paper, to improve performance of the SEND protocol, we proposed a modified CGA(Cryptographically Generated Address) which is made by additionally adding MAC(Media Access Control) address to the input of the hash function. Also, we proposed cache mechanism. We compared performance of the methods by experimentation.

An Efficient Routing Protocol Considering Path Reliability in Cognitive Radio Ad-hoc Networks (인지 무선 애드혹 네트워크에서 경로 신뢰성을 고려한 효율적인 라우팅 기법)

  • In the case of On-demand routing protocol in cognitive radio ad-hoc networks, broadcasting of control packets may occur common control channel overload and packet collisions during the routing procedure. This situation is to increase the overhead of path finding and also limited to find the accurate and reliable path. Since reliable channel and path finding is restricted, path life time is shorten and path reliability is reduced. In this paper, we propose a new routing algorithm that reduces control channel overhead and increases path life time by considering the probability of appearance of primary user and channel status of neighbor nodes. Each node performs periodic local sensing to detect primary user signal and to derive primary user activity patterns. The probability of primary appearance on the current channel and the channel status can be obtained based on the periodic sensing. In addition, each node identifies the quality of the channel by message exchange through a common channel with neighbor nodes, then determines Link_Levels with neighbor nodes. In the proposed method, the Link Level condition reduces the number of control messages that are generated during the route discovery process. The proposed method can improve path life time by choosing a path through Path_Reliability in which stability and quality are weighted depending on the location. Through simulation, we show that our proposed algorithm reduces packet collisions and increases path life time in comparison with the traditional algorithm.

Development and Utilization of Linked Data of Port Maintenance Information for Port Facilities Based on Port BIM Standards (항만 BIM 표준 기반 항만 유지관리 정보의 링크드데이터 구축 및 활용)

  • The importance of using construction data is increasing in accordance with the recent trend in the smart construction. However, construction project and maintenance information is distributed on the web, and the existing BIM(Building Information Modeling) information exchange and linking method using IFC(Industry Foundation Classes) cannot support connection with BIM data and web resources. This study aims to establish the BIM-based port facility data integration system using linked data(LD) technology in order to integrate BIM and heterogeneous data in the port maintenance domain. To this end, the port BIM-based ifcOWL and port facility maintenance ontology were designed, and LD was built for the BIM and maintenance information of Busan New Port 2-1 Pier3, a BIM pilot project. In addition, service prototypes such as search, statistics and SPARQL(SPARQL Protocol and RDF Query Language) endpoint functions were implemented using the issued LD. The LD-based information utilization system is expected to improve the reusability of information by converting the existing closed information system into an open system and BIM and maintenance data as a web resource in a standard format.
