Extraction of Representative Emotions for Evaluations of Tactile Impressions in a Car Interior (자동차 인테리어의 촉감 평가를 위한 대표감성 추출)

  • There are few that evaluate tactile emotion as it pertains to car interior parts, while studies on visual evaluations of car interiors as well as usability tests in a visual sense are numerous. The purpose of this study is to determine typical in-vehicle tactile emotions so that they can be used to evaluate tactile impressions of car interior parts. 52 words related to tactile impressions of car interiors were gathered from a survey in conjunction with an in-vehicle test, interviews with the car salespersons, and an analysis of car reviews. After a factor analysis with 52 words, 10 categories of major tactile emotions were clustered. These were roughness, toughness, friction, comfortability, stiffness, softness, temperature, sleekness, familiarity, and flexibility. These representative tactile emotions regarding a car interior can be used to evaluate tactile impressions of surfaces such as leather, plastic, metal and wood when used as parts in car interiors.

Assessment on the Possibility of Increase of SB5-B Small Car Impact Velocity (SB5-B 소형차 충돌속도의 상향 가능성 평가)

  • Satisfying the large car impact condition of the high level SB5-B for "SMART Highway" longitudinal barriers, the possibility of increase of the small car impact velocity from 120km/h to 130km/h was investigated. Through computer simulation using input parameters calibrated to full-scale crash test results, various longitudinal semi-rigid barrier models were improved such that for the small car impact speed of 120km/h the change of longitudinal and transverse velocities of the impact vehicle can satisfy the THIV limit. The barrier model determined through this process satisfied the performance assessment criteria for SB5-B impact conditions. Varying the wing angle of slip block-outs of the passed barrier model, the possibility of increase of the small car impact velocity was investigated by FEA and a full-scale crash test was conducted. It has been shown that the possibility to increase the small car impact speed to 130km/h is high if the test facility condition for 130km/h impact velocity is better equipped.

Application for Furniture Arrangement based on Virtual Reality to Share Interior Design in Real-time (실시간 인테리어 공유를 위한 가상현실 기반 가구 배치 애플리케이션)

  • As single-person households increase, demands for self interior design has been also increasing. The furniture arrangement takes big part of interior design. But sometimes people need professional helps for the proper and effective arrangement of furniture which makes self-interior design harder. Often, people share information and advices about interior design through Social Network Service. Experts could help directly but this approach would have several issues: First, the detailed and accurate advice would be difficult because experts have to examine the space through 2D pictures or video. Second, they have to make an appointment which would cause inconvenience to both customer and expert. In this paper, the furniture arrangement application for real-time sharing of interior design based on virtual reality is proposed to make up for the weak points. People can precisely share information and advice about self-interior design through this application in realtime, reducing waste of time and energy.

The Evaluation of the Packaging Properties and Recyclability with Modified Acrylic Emulsion for Flexible Food Paper Coating (유연 종이 식품 포장재의 개질 아크릴 에멀젼 코팅 특성 및 재활용성 평가)

  • The worldwide effects of COVID-19 have led to a surge in online shopping and contactless services. The consumption pattern has caused the issues such as the environmental pollution together with the increase of plastic waste. Reducing the reliance on the petroleum based plastic use for the package and replacing it with environmentally friendly material are the simple ways in order to solve those problems. Paper is an eco-friendly product with high recyclability as the food packaging materials but has still poor barrier properties. A barrier coating on surface of the paper can be achieved with the proper packaging materials featuring water, gas and grease barrier. Polyethylene (PE) or polypropylene (PP) coatings which are generally laminated or coated to paper are widely used in food packaging applications to protect products from moisture and provide water or grease resistance. However, recycling of packaging containing PE or PP matrix is limited and costly because those films are difficult to degrade in the environment. This study investigated the recyclability of modified acrylic emulsion coating papers compared to PE and PP polymer matrixes as well as their mechanical and gas barrier properties. The results showed that PE or modified acrylic emulsion coated papers had better mechanical properties compared to the uncoated paper as a control. PE or PP coating papers showed strong oil resistance property, achieving a kit rating of 12. Those papers also had a significantly higher percentage of screen reject during the recycling process than modified acrylic coated paper which had a screen rejection rate of 6.25%. In addition an uncoated paper had similar value of a screen rejection rate. It may suggest that modified acrylic emulsion coating paper can be more easily recycled than PE or PP coating papers. The overall results of the study found that modified acrylic emulsion coating paper would be a viable alternative to suggest a possible solution to an environmental problem as well as enhancing the weak mechanical and poor gas barrier properties of the paper against moisture.

  • We present a novel head tracking system for stereoscopic displays that ensures the viewer has a high degree of movement. The tracker is capable of segmenting the viewer from background objects using their relative distance. A depth camera using TOF(Time-Of-Flight) is used to generate a key signal for eye tracking application. A method of the moving parallax barrier is also introduced to supplement a disadvantage of the fixed parallax barrier that provides observation at the specific locations.

  • 최근 1인가구가 늘어나면서 자신의 집을 직접 꾸밀 수 있는 인테리어 시장에 관심이 쏠리고 있다. 이에 따라, 온라인상에서 인테리어 및 리모델링을 해 불 수 있는 프로그램들이 각광을 받고 있으나, 종래의 인테리어 프로그램들은 고용량의 프로그램이거나 처움 접하는 사용자가 사용하기 어려운 인터페이스를 가진 프로그램들이 대부분이다. 본 연구에서는 Unity를 이용하여 웹상에서 손쉽게 인테리어를 해 보고 가상현실 체험까지 해 볼 수 있는 가상현실 기술을 활용한 프로그램을 구현하였다. 구현된 프로그램은 초보자도 전문가의 도움 없이 가구의 재배치, 방의 확장 및 구조 변경 등 자기취향에 맞는 인테리어를 웹상에서 가상으로 시도해 보고, 그 결과를 가상현실 체험기기로 체험해 볼 수 있어, 셀프 인테리어와 리모델링을 원하는 사용자에게 시간과 비용을 절감시켜주고 만족감을 더욱 높여 주는 효과가 있다.

A Study on Characteristics of Wet Oxide Gate and Nitride Oxide Gate for Fabrication of NMOSFET (NMOSFET의 제조를 위한 습식산화막과 질화산화막 특성에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper we fabricated and measured the $0.26{\mu}m$ NMOSFET with wet gate oxide and nitride oxide gate to compare that the charateristics of hot carrier effect, charge to breakdown, transistor Id_Vg curve, charge trapping, and SILC(Stress Induced Leakage Current) using the HP4145 device tester. As a result we find that the characteristics of nitride oxide gate device better than wet gate oxide device, especially hot carrier lifetime(nitride oxide gate device satisfied 30 years, but the lifetime of wet gate oxide was only 0.1 year), variation of Vg, charge to breakdown, electric field simulation and charge trapping etc.

  • Until the early part of the 1990s, interior design has never been thought important by car makers. Repeated attempts have been made to systemize a technical structure, such as layout, driving method, and size, and the car's interior design has been developed by in simple comparison with the exterior design. In the 1990s, however, this trend began to change because consumers began spending more time in their cars, so the motive of the technology development became that of giving comfort and functional satisfaction to the customers. Observing how a person spends inside his or her car and considering the latest trends in car interiors have made a consumer-oriented sense of value i.e., intensifying the personality of the car's interior design and considering the emotional makeup of the consumer factor in the acquisition of a strategic brand identity. These days, car interiors assume a new concept every year due to the constant change in various factors, and the application of a high-tech design, with a sensing function and a navigation system, to achieve driverless running, is being raised as a key trend element technology for the future. Now, at the present when multilateral concept applications of design are attempted under the direct influences from other fields such as product design, fashion and furniture, I would like to lay stress on investigating and analysing the changes in car interior design varying with the background of the times and formative characteristics from the object point of view. On this study, I would like to compare the background of the times and flow of car interior design with priority given to crash pad and would like to attempt to present the direction of the future car interior design together with diversifying major technical factors.

대기압 유전체 배리어 방전을 이용한 폴리머 박막의 증착과 특성 분석에 대한 연구

  • 폴리머 박막은 그 고유한 특성으로 인해 여러 산업적으로 널리 사용되고 있는 재료이다 예로 의약품이나 식품 포장지의 배리어, 전자부품의 절연체, 반도체 공정에서의 사용, 혹은 부식방지를 위해 사용 되어지기도 한다. 이 폴리머 박막을 증착 하기 위한 방법으로 이전부터 CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition) 방법이 많이 사용되었고 지금까지도 가장 많이 사용되는 방법이다. CVD를 사용하여 $SiO_2$-like 필름의 증착은 전구체(precursor)로 Silane ($SiH_4$)을 사용하였으며, 플라즈마 발생 소스(source)로 열 혹은 전기장 등을 사용 하며 공정 시 압력 또한 대부분 저압 하에서 실시 하였다. 이와 같은 이전 CVD 방법의 문제는 사용되는 Silane 자체가 인체에 해로울 정도로 독성이 있으며 폭발성도 같이 가지고 있어 작업환경의 위험성이 높으며 열을 사용한 CVD의 경우 높은 공정 온도로 인해 증착 할 수 있는 대상이 제한 되어 지며 높은 열의 발생을 위해 많은 에너지의 소비가 필요하다. 저압 플라즈마를 사용한 CVD 는 공정상 높은 열의 발생이 일어나지 않아 기판 운용상 문제가 되지 않지만 저압 환경에서 해당 공정이 이루어기 때문에 인해 필수적으로 고가의 진공 챔버가 필수적이며 저압을 유지할 고가의 진공 펌프나 추가 장비들이 필요하게 된다, 또한 챔버 내에서 이루어지는 공정으로 인해 공정의 연속성이 떨어져 시잔비용 또한 많이 잡아 먹는다. 이러한 열 혹은 저압 플라즈마등을 사용한 공정의 단점을 해결하기 위해 여러 연구자들이 다양한 방법을 통해 연구를 하였다. 대기압 유전체 배리어 방전(AP-DBD: Atmospheric Pressure-Dielectric Barrier Discharge)을 사용한 폴리머 박막의 증착은 이전 전통적인 방법에 비해 낮은 장비 가격과 낮은 공정 온도 그리고 연속적인 공정 등의 장점이 있는 폴리머 박막 증착 방법 이다. 대기압 유전체 배리어 방전 공정 변수로 공급 전압 및 주파수 그리고 공급 전압의 영향, 전구체를 유전체 배리어 방전 전극으로 이동 시키기 위해 사용된 캐리어 가스의 종류 및 유량, 화학양론적 계수를 맞추기 위해 같이 포함되는 산소 가스의 유량, DBD 전극의 형태에 따른 증착 박막의 균일성 등 이 존재하며 이런 많은 변수 들에 대한 연구가 진행 되었지만 아직 이 대기압 DBD를 이용한 폴리머 박막의 증착에 대한 명확한 이해는 아직 완전 하다 할 수 없다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 대기압 DBD를 이용하여 폴리머 박막의 증착시 영향을 미치는 많은 공정 변수 등이 박막생성에 미치는 영향과 증착된 박막의 성질에 대한 연구를 진행 하였다.

Development of Korean Warrior Platform Architecture (한국형 워리어플랫폼 아키텍처 개발 연구)

  • With the rapid development of advanced science and technology including the 4th industrial revolution, the future battlefield environment is evolving at a rapid pace. In order to actively respond to issues such as reduction of military resources and shortening of service period, and to emphasize the realization of human-centered values, the Ministry of National Defense is re-establishing the role of the Army in accordance with the defense reform and is promoting the Warrior Platform, a next-generation individual combat system. In this paper, we intend to present the optimal warrior platform architecture suitable for the Korean Army by realizing the concept of future ground operations and analyzing overseas cases. We analyze the essential abilities required of individual combatants and the abilities required for each unit type, and specifically presents a plan for integration and linkage of warrior platform equipment. We also propose an efficient business promotion direction by presenting the data flow and power connection diagram between the devices that need integration and interworking.
