장치장에서 베이 내 컨테이너의 효율적인 재정돈 방안

  • 컨테이너 터미널의 적하 작업은 사전에 계획된 순서대로 컨테이너를 장치장(yard)에서 하나씩 반출하여 선박에 선적하는 작업이다. 만일 현재 반출하고자 하는 컨테이너의 상단에 다른 컨테이너들이 장치되어 있다면, 부득이하게 위에 놓여 있는 컨테이너들을 다른 곳으로 옮겨야 하는 재취급(rehandling)이 발생하고 이로 인하여 반출 작업은 지연된다. 본 논문에서는 적하 계획이 수립되어 장치장의 한 베이(bay)내 컨테이너들의 반출 순서가 결정되었을 때, 반출 시작 시점까지 남는 유휴 시간을 활용하여 재취급이 발생하지 않도록 컨테이너들을 재정돈(이적, 리마샬링)하는 방안을 제안한다. 본 제안 방안은 분지 한계법(branch and bound)을 적용하여 컨테이너 이동 계획을 탐색하며, 생성된 해는 최소의 컨테이너 이동 횟수가 보장된다. 4 단 6 열과 5 단 9 열의 장치장 구조를 대상으로 실험한 결과 99% 이상의 상황에서 허용할 수 있는 시간 내에 계획을 수립할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

  • Due to the recent technological advance, new types of AS/RS which can handle containers are being developed, and it is expected that they will be applied to related industries before long. Some companies and institutes in our country have constructed pilot systems for high-density-high-stacking systems and tested them to develop AS/RS-typed warehouses for containers. Along with this kind of construction efforts, development of rules to operate such systems efficiently and safely is also important. When outward-bound shipment is scheduled in container port, re-marshalling which rearranges containers in the yard to make shipment easy is conducted. In this paper, operating rules for the re-marshalling as well as simulation experiments to evaluate the performance of the rules are presented. We suggested two kinds of alternative sets of operating rules for re-marshalling and described the relevant logics corresponding to all possible cases for each alternative of operating rules. Through various simulation experiments, we found that each alternative has the merits and demerits at the same time and we could not say the one is always superior to the other. As a useful strategy, changing the applying operating rule is recommended from moment to moment depending on the expected number of operations at the landside input/output position.

A study on operation method of handling equipments in automated container terminals (자동화 컨테이너터미널에서 운송 장비의 운영방안에 관한 연구)

  • The main subject to become a hub port is automation. The automated container terminal has already operated in advanced ports and it has been planned for the basic planning and operation design in domestic case. The key of automated container terminal is effective operation of both ATC(automated transfer crane) and AGV(automated guided vehicle) which is automated handling equipments. This is essential to poductivity of automated container terminal. This study suggests the most optimal method of equipment operation in order to minimize loading time using each three types of effective ATC operation methods and AGV dispatching rules in automated container terminals. As the automated equipment operation causes unexpected deadlocks or interferences, it should be proceeded on event-based real time. Therefore we propose the most effective ATC operation methods and AGV dispatching rules in this paper. The various states occurred in real automated container terminals are simulated to evaluate these methods. This experiment will show the most robust automated equipment operation method on various parameters(the degree of yard re-marshaling, the number of containers and the number of AGVs)
