Automatic Liver Segmentation Method on MR Images using Normalized Gradient Magnitude Image (MR 영상에서 정규화된 기울기 크기 영상을 이용한 자동 간 분할 기법)

  • In this paper, we propose a fast liver segmentation method from magnetic resonance(MR) images. Our method efficiently divides a MR image into a set of discrete objects, and boundaries based on the normalized gradient magnitude information. Then, the objects belonging to the liver are detected by using 2D seeded region growing with seed points, which are extracted from the segmented liver region of the slice immediately above or below the current slice. Finally, rolling ball algorithm, and connected component analysis minimizes false positive error near the liver boundaries. Our method was validated by twenty data sets and the results were compared with the manually segmented result. The average volumetric overlap error was 5.2%, and average absolute volumetric measurement error was 1.9%. The average processing time for segmenting one data set was about three seconds. Our method could be used for computer-aided liver diagnosis, which requires a fast and accurate segmentation of liver.

Automatic Segmentation of Lung, Airway and Pulmonary Vessels using Morphology Information and Advanced Rolling Ball Algorithm (형태학 정보와 개선된 롤링 볼 알고리즘을 이용한 폐, 기관지 및 폐혈관 자동 분할)

  • In this paper, the algorithm that can automatically segment the lung, the airway and the pulmonary vessels in a chest CT was proposed. The proposed method is progressed in three steps. In the first step, the lung and the airway are segmented by the region growing law through the optimal threshold and three-dimensional labeling. In the second, from the start point to the first carina of the airway is segmented by the deduction operation, and the next airway of the bifurcations are segmented by applying a variable threshold technique. In the third step, the left/right lungs are divided by the restoration process for the lung, and the outside of lungs for abnormal is checked by applying the advanced rolling ball algorithm, and if abnormal is found, that part is removed, and it is restored to the normal lungs by connecting the outside of the lung in the form of second-order polynomial. Finally, pulmonary vessels are segmented by applying the three-dimensional connected component labeling method and three-dimensional region growing method. As the results of simulation, it could be confirmed that the pulmonary vascular is accurately divided without loss of tissue around lung.

  • The effects of sideslip on the vortex over a delta wing was investigated experimentallu at a free strean velocity of 40 m/sec, corresponding to a Reynolds number of 1.76$\times$$10^6$, based on the root chord. The angles of attack ranged from $16{^{\circ}}$ to $28{^{\circ}}$, and the sideslip angles treated were $0{^{\circ}}$, $-10{^{\circ}}$, and $-20{^{\circ}}$. It was observed that the sideslip decreased the strengths of the vortices of both windward and leeward sides of the wing, and promoted the vortex breakdown on the windward side. At sideslip angle of $-10{^{\circ}}$, the vortex strength of leeward side was increased as the angle of attack increased. This asymmetric development and breakdown of vortices in sideslip condition would cause an abrubt change of the rolling moment at a high angle of of attack, which could be considered as a rolling moment instability.

Effect of Incident Angle of Wave on Floating Pontoon and Moment Resisting Frame (파랑 입사각이 장방형 플로팅 함체와 상부 골조에 미치는 효과)

  • To find the influence of incident angle of wave on the moment of 3 storied steel moment resisting frame which is placed on the concrete rectangular pontoon, the fluid dynamic analysis is carried out, varying the period of wave from 5 to 15 second by 2 seconds. As increasing incident angle of wave to longitudinal axis, the influence of RAO-rolling is increased. The moment of longitudinal frame is increased apparently by the wave pressure when the incident angle is $0^{\circ}$. And the moment of the frame due to the wave pressure is decreased as the incident angle is increased. But the moment of frame due to acceleration caused from pitching and rolling is increased. It is shown that the increased moment when incident angle is $90^{\circ}$ is much greater than that of incident angle $0^{\circ}$.

A Study on the Development of Product Planning Prediction Model Using Logistic Regression Algorithm (로지스틱 회귀 알고리즘을 활용한 상품 기획 예측 모형 개발에 관한 연구)

  • This study was conducted to propose a product planning prediction model using logistic regression algorithm to predict seasonal factors and rapidly changing product trends. First, we collected unstructured data of consumers in portal sites and online markets using web crawling, and analyzed meaningful information about products through preprocessing for transformation of standardized data. The datasets of 11,200 were analyzed by Logistic Regression to analyze consumer satisfaction, frequency analysis, and advantages and disadvantages of products. The result of analysis showed that the satisfaction of consumers was 92% and the defective issues of products were confirmed through frequency analysis. The results of analysis on the use satisfaction, system efficiency, and system effectiveness items of the developed product planning prediction program showed that the satisfaction was high. Defective issues are very meaningful data in that they provide information necessary for quickly recognizing the current problem of products and establishing improvement strategies.

  • 상수도시스템의 과정 중 최종 단계인 급수단계에서 지역전반에 수질문제가 발생할 경우, 직간접적인 피해의 해결은 장기간 지속될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 실시간 비정형정보의 빅데이터 분석을 통해 상수도시스템에서 수질사고 문제의 파급력과 2차 피해 등의 연결 관계 변화 추적을 위한 기초적 분석을 수행하였다. 과거 대규모 수질사고가 발생된 바 있는 인천광역시 유충발생 사고를 대상으로 뉴스 기사 웹크롤링 절차를 정립하고, 그 결과를 분석하였다. '인천 유충'이 최초 보도되었던 2020년 7월 13일 부터 이후 1년을 대상으로 네이버 통합검색에 의해 표출되는 뉴스기사를 웹크롤링하였으며, 프로그래밍을 통한 불용어 제거 및 관련성 검토를 통해 총 920건의 기사를 분석하였다. 수질사고의 전개양상에 따라 사고발생, 확산, 수습, 그리고 보상의 4단계로 임의 구분하여 분석하였다. 의미분석을 위한 토픽모델링 기법은 잠재 디리클레 할당(Latent Dirichlet Allocation, LDA) 방법을 적용하였으며, 긍부정 감정분석은 KNU 한국어 감성사전(KNU sentiment lexicon)을 활용하여 수행하였다. 토픽 모델링 결과, 사고 발생에서부터 확산, 수습, 보상의 단계에 맞춰 적절한 주제어의 조합에 따른 기사들이 도출되었으며, 단계별 긍부정 기사 비율역시 사고의 전개단계에 따라 적절히 나타남을 확인하였다. 제시된 수질사고 관련 비정형정보 분석 방법론과 결과는 과거 사고 사례 분석을 통한 검색 및 긍부정 키워드 확정, 키워드 발생 비율 변동(사고전과 후)에 따른 상황판단 기준설정 등에 활용이 가능하다.

Prevention of Collision with Other Vessels Using Camera Sensors with Kalman Filter (칼만 필터가 적용된 카메라 센서를 이용한 타 선박과의 충돌 예방)

  • In this paper, we present a method of applying the kalman filter to control and correct errors in camera sensor recognition depending on the sea state environment. First, the specifications of the ship were described and the degree of error due to rolling was measured. After presenting the distance from the surface of the water to the sidelight required for simulation through PKMR-211, the ship selected as the model, error correction was performed using the camera error value as a variable in the feedback control system. In the experiment, the degree of rolling of the ship was expressed as variables 𝛼 and 𝛽, expressed in angles, and the angle change according to distance was compared. When comparing the error before and after applying the kalman filter in sea state 4, it decreased from +1.5556° to -1.1544° in red light regardless of distance, and the same result was confirmed in green light. Through this, calculations were performed considering the movement of the ship according to the maritime environment, and the future maneuverability of the ship was presented after error correction.

  • This paper discusses the applicability of a compact rolling piston refrigeration compressor to portable refrigerators. The capacity of this compressor is 1 cc. Using a 12 V BLDC motor, the compressor is driven from 2500 rpm to 6000 rpm. The height of the compression module and motor is approximately 56 mm, and their weight is approximately 374 g. We confirmed the effective operation of the compressor components by evaluating their compression and cooling performance.

  • 도플러 로그용 센서를 이용하여 선박의 속도를 측정하면, 선박의 수평방향 이외의 움직임, 즉 핏칭이나 롤링 등에 의한 측정 속도의 부정확성이 문제가 된다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 핏칭과, 수중이라는 환경요인에 기인하여 다른 속도 측정용 센서들이 가지는 문제점을 극복할 수 있도록 진동판을 수평축에서 일정한 각을 가지도록 두 개 또는 네 개를 등 간격으로 배열한 야누스형 초음파 트랜스듀서를 개발하였다. 트랜스듀서 개발을 위하여 그 작동 구조를 해석하고 그에 따라 시제품을 제작한 후, 실험적인 성능 평가를 수행하였다. 시제작된 초음파 트랜스듀서는 지향성 및 감도가 우수하고, 대역폭이 넓은 성능을 가지고 있어, 실제 선박에 장착되어 도플러 로그용 초음파 트랜스듀서로 사용될 수 있는 가능성이 확인되었다.

  • Rapid increase of refrigeration & air-conditioning system (r & a system) in modem industries brings attention to the urgency of research & development as a core technology in the area. And it is required to the compatibility problem of r & a system to alternative refrigerant for the protection of environment. Then, it is requested to study the lubrication characteristics of refrigerant compressor which is the core technology in the r & a system. The study of lubrication characteristics in the critical sliding component is essential for the design of refrigerant compressor. Therefore, theoretical investigation of the lubrication characteristics of rotary compressor for r & a system is studied. The Runge-Kutta method is used for the analysis of the behavior of rolling piston in the rotary compressor. The results show that the rotating speed of shaft and the discharge pressure have an important effect upon the angular velocity of the rolling piston. This results give important basic data for the further lubrication analysis and design of the rotary compressor.
