The Authentication Framework Application Plan for the Security Improvement in Network Robot Environment (네트워크 로봇 환경에서 보안 향상을 위한 인증 프레임워크 적용 방안)

  • By using the network, the robot can provide the anytime and anywhere various services. There is the advantage that it can provide the real time service by using the network description but the network robot has the network security vulnerability. Therefore, in the network robot environment, the authentication framework which can be satisfied the security function has to be established. In this paper, the security vulnerability which it can be generated in the network robot environment is analyze and the plan for reaction is prepared. And the authentication framework controlling the network robot safely was proposed.

Pre-Service Teachers' Attitudes toward Robots : Analysis of Difference According to Variables (로봇에 대한 예비 교사의 태도: 변인에 따른 차이 분석)

  • As the fourth industrial revolution has progressed globally, computing education is progressing centered on robots. However, pre-service teachers' attitudes toward robots were negative in previous studies. In order to solve this problem, this study analyzed the difference in the attitude of the pre-service teachers to the robot according to the factors. The subjects of this study were 309 pre-service teachers attending K university. In order to measure the attitude of the pre-service teacher to the robot, the negative attitude measure for the robot was used. And, in order to measure the attitude of the pre-service teachers to the robots, negative attitude measurement scale was used. As a result, pre-service teachers showed different attitudes toward robots according to gender, experience of robot manipulation, and experiences of robot-related lectures. Especially, when the gender was male than female, and the experience of robot manipulation and the experiences of robot-related lectures, the attitude of pre-service teachers to robot was positive.

  • Recent technological advances in utilization and generalization of Internet have overcome some of the limitations of remote robot control range and real-time monitoring system. However, It needs Embedded system with control protocol or hardware which has avility to port the micro realtime operating system in robot control system communicate with remote controlled robot, because those system use the wireless LAM or Bluetooth as a network media. In this paper, we design and implement the wireless MODEM protocol and install it to the server system. Also, we implement a client system could control the remote robot through the server and we assure that this protocol and client/server system ate suitable for small size remote control system based on Internet.

  • 광고 시장 / 채널은 새로운 매체로 전환이 급격히 빠른 분야이다. 과거 TV, 신문 등과 같은 전통적인 매스미디어에서, 현재는 인터넷 및 모바일 광고와 디지털 사이니지를 통한 옥외광고가 주를 이루고 있다. 이에 따라 지속적인 마케팅 패러다임의 변화, 광고시장 / 로봇(서비스형, 지능형) 시장의 성장세를 기반으로 디지털 사이니지와 이동로봇을 결합하여 광고효과를 극대화 시킬 수 있는 커뮤니케이션 마케팅 기반의 신개념 광고기기(Mobile Digital Signage Robot 이하 MDSR)를 제안한다. MDSR의 기본 목표는 로봇이 설정된 루트를 자동으로 이동하며 주변상황을 인지하여 상황에 맞는 광고를 노출시키는 데에 있다. 또한 사용자의 관심을 유도하는 인터랙티브 기능과, 커뮤니케이션 콘텐츠를 탑재하여 주위 사람들의 이목을 집중시키며, 광고노출빈도가 높아지고 흥미유발에 기여하여 광고효과를 극대화 시키고, 이용자 편의성을 제고시킨다. 본고에서는 마케팅 / 디지털 사이니지 / 로봇시장의 실태와 현황을 알아보고, MDSR개발을 위한 HW 필요 탑재부품의 성능정보 수집 및 평가, 로봇 이동제어 및 상황인지와 광고전환을 위한 핵심 SW 알고리즘 개발, 마케팅 전략 및 활용 시나리오, 기대효과 분석 등을 연구해 MDSR 제작 및 활용 방법 등을 살펴본다.

Analysis on Psychological and Educational Effects in Children and Home Robot Interaction (아동과 홈 로봇의 심리적.교육적 상호작용 분석)

  • To facilitate interaction between home robot and humans, it's urgently needed to make in-depth research in Human-Robot Interaction(HRI). The purpose of this study was to examine how children interacted with a newly developed home robot named 'iRobi' in a bid to identify how the home robot affected their psychology and the effectiveness of learning through the home robot. Concerning the psychological effects of the home robot, the children became familiar with the robot, and found it possible to interact with it, and their initial anxiety was removed. As to its learning effect, the group that studied by using the home robot outperformed the others utilizing the other types of learning media (books, WBI)in attention, learning interest and academic achievement. Accordingly, home robot could serve as one of successful vehicles to expedite the psychological and educational interaction of children.

  • Using robots in the programming classes may help to induce learners' interest and motivation. However, simple introduction of new media, such as robots, may cause to increase learners' interest level temporarily, but also may give cognitive overload and offense against learning motivation. We developed a robot programming course to induce intrinsic motivation and to reduce cognitive load for learners in the programming education. And then, we implemented the developed course in college programming classes and analysed the educational effects of robot programming learning on novice learners' flow level. We found that robot programming course was helpful in enhancing novice learners' flow level. Especially, the element of 'autotelic experience', which explains an intrinsic motivation, was higher than conventional programming course group. It means that the developed strategies for robot programming course provides positive effects on learners' intrinsic motivation.

  • A collaborative robot(Cobot) is one of the production systems presented in the 4th industrial revolution and are systems that can maximize efficiency by combining the exquisite hand skills of workers and the ability of simple repetitive tasks of robots. Also, research on the development of an efficient interface method between the worker and the robot is continuously progressing along with the solution to the safety problem arising from the sharing of the workspace. In this study, a method for controlling the robot by recognizing the worker's hand signal was presented to enhance the convenience and concentration of the worker, and the safety of the worker was secured by introducing the concept of a safety zone. Various technologies such as robot control, PLC, image processing, machine learning, and ROS were used to implement this. In addition, the roles and interface methods of the proposed technologies were defined and presented for using educational media. Students can build and adjust the educational media system by linking the introduced various technologies. Therefore, there is an excellent advantage in recognizing the necessity of the technology required in the field and inducing in-depth learning about it. In addition, presenting a problem and then seeking a way to solve it on their own can lead to self-directed learning. Through this, students can learn key technologies of the 4th industrial revolution and improve their ability to solve various problems.

The Effects of the Robot Based Instruction on the Learning Attitude in Elementary School (로봇활용수업이 초등학생의 학습태도에 미치는 효과)

  • This paper is to explore the effects of Robot Based Instruction(RBI) on the learning attitude of elementary school students. According to this research, researcher found out that there is significant improvement in learning attitude score after RBI was applied. The result of verification on the learning attitude is difference by sex showed that male students' learning attitude score is more high better than another group. In particular, it showed that there is more significant improvement in science art discretionary activities subjects. The above-mentioned results are based on as follows two reasons. First, RBI is efficient to improve students' internal motivation and ownership about tasks, and that is related to environment of learning and instruction focused on authentic task and practice. Second, educational advantages of robot media was reflected appropriately in RBI, also appropriate instructional environment for RBI was supported.

  • The objective of this research is to explore a method to utilize a programmable robot, as a potential learning tool in the elementary school's curricula. Due to their programmability and operational ease of use, programmable robots are among digital toys that today offer specially instructive features. In this research, we developed the robot game-based project contents as a tool for teaching the elementary school children to learn the algorithm, the essential part of computer programming. The LEGO material, selected as the construction kit for robot, consists of a mechanical assembly system, a set of sensors and actuators, a central control unit, a programming environment. The project requires the children to complete 3 separate tasks, each of which is developed based on the principles of algorithm. The classroom feedback supports that the robotic experiences provided the children with fun and absorption. It is likely that implementing learning with robot in regular classroom in elementary school can bring new possibilities to the educational system, provided that a thorough preparation backs up the plan.
