기체-액체 이젝터의 디퓨저 형상에 대한 연구 (STUDY ON THE PERFORMANCE OF THE SHAPE OF THE AIR-LIQUID EJECTOR DIFFUSER)

  • 본 논문은 기체-액체 이젝터의 수치해석연구에 초점을 맞추고 있다. 이젝터는 구동유체가 노즐을 통해 고속으로 분출될 때, 구동노즐 출구 주변에 진공압이 형성되어 주변의 기체와 운동량 교환을 통하여 저압의 유체를 보다 높은 압력으로 압축하여 수송하는 장치이다. 기체-액체 이젝터는 상용 소프트웨어 ANSYS-CFX 14.0을 사용하여 다상의 CFD 분석을 통해 연구한다. 구동유체는 물을 사용하여 구동되며, 실제로는 공기가 아닌 오존을 사용하여 배출 된다. 기체-액체 이젝터의 디퓨저의 형상에 따라 성능 차이를 비교한다. 결과 기체-액체 이젝터의 성능에 미치는 다양한 요인을 제공 한다. 그리고 제안 된 수치 모델은 기체-액체 이젝터의의 최적 설계에 매우 도움이 될 것다.

  • Ejector system is a device to transport a low-pressure secondary flow by using a high-pressure primary flow. Ejector system is, in general, composed of a primary nozzle, a mixing section, a casing part for suction of secondary flow and a diffuser. It can induce the secondary flow or affect the secondary chamber pressure by both shear stress and pressure drop which are generated in the primary jet boundary. Ejector system is simple in construction and has no moving parts, so it can not only compress and transport a massive capacity of fluid without trouble, but also has little need for maintenance. Ejectors are widely used in a range of applications such as a turbine-based combined-cycle propulsion system and a high altitude test facility for rocket engine, pressure recovery system, desalination plant and ejector ramjet etc. The primary interest of this study is to set up an applicable model and operating conditions for an ejector in the condition of sonic and subsonic, which can be extended to the hydrogen fuel cell vehicle. Experimental and theoretical investigation on the sonic and subsonic ejectors with a converging-diverging diffuser was carried out. Optimization technique and numerical simulation was adopted for an optimal geometry design and satisfying the required performance at design point of ejector for hydrogen recirculation. Also, some sonic and subsonic ejectors with the function of changing nozzle position were manufactured precisely and tested for the comparison with the calculation results.

  • The present study addresses a method to operate a fuel-cell system effectively using a recirculation ejector which recycles wasted hydrogen gas. Configuration of a recirculation ejector is changed to investigate the flow behavior through it under varying operating conditions, and how such conditions affect the fuel-cell hydrogen cycle. The numerical simulations are based on a fully implicit finite volume scheme of the axisymmetric, compressible, Reynolds-Averaged, Navier-Stokes equations for hydrogen gas, and are compared with available experimental data for validation. The results show that a hydrogen recirculation ratio is effectively controlled by a configurational alteration within the operational region in which the recirculation passage doesn't plugged by a sonic line.

  • The design method of turbomachinery has been developed highly. But some geometric dimensions have been determined from the empirical view points. In designing the inlet outer diameter of pump impeller and the hub ratio of blower, satisfactory theoretical grounds have not been presented till now. In the paper, these points are discussed and the method of increasing pump and blower efficiencies are also discussed on the basis of experimental and computational results of flow analysis. Further, the effects of tip clearance of rotor on its efficiency and the interference of rotor and stator blade rows are discussed and some ideas to estimate their effects are presented.

  • Recently TEIS model, Two-zone model aid Stanitz equations are often used for off-design performance prediction of centrifugal compressor and pump. The prediction results often agree well with experimental data. However these models and equations have some important variables which have a great influence on overall performance prediction me. But no systematic study about these variables has been performed. So, in this paper, a systematic study about these variables influence on overall performance prediction owe is peformed. Finally the meaning of the variables and the research to be undertaken are discussed.

  • The ejector is a device which employs a high-velocity primary motive fluid to entrain and accelerate a slower moving secondary suction fluid. The resulting kinetic energy of the mixture is subsequently used for self-compression to a higher pressure, thus performing the function of a compressor. The outstanding advantages of the ejectors are simplicity and reliability. However the industrial use of ejectors has been confined mainly to very particular cases of operation. The experimental results obtained so far were insufficient to be made use of general cases. Large-sized modern ejectors, mainly driven by high powered air-compressors and designed for very wide ranges of operating conditions, cannot be based on the earlier research results, if we wish to be sure of the final outcome.

  • 가스터빈에 적용되는 천음속 원심압축기에 대한 공력설계 및 수치해석을 수행하였다. 평균유선법과 준삼차원 해석을 기반으로 공력설계를 수행하고, 레이놀즈 평균 나비어-스톡스 해석을 통해 압축기 내부 유동장을 해석하였다. 천음속 압축기에서 정압계수, 스월 파라미터 및 블레이드 공력하중 등 주요 공력파라미터들에 대한 분석과 임펠러와 디퓨저 내부 유동장에 대한 고찰이 이루어졌다.

  • A small circulating water channel (CWC) for experiments ocean engineering is designed and made through the co-work of a company, MESTEC, and a college, Inha Technical Research Institute. General function of the elements of CWC are explained. The velocities in the test section are measured and analysed to estimate the performance of the CWC. The result of the velocity distribution is acceptable for experiments of ocean engineering.

해군 함정 VRTU의 과열방지를 위한 열전소자 냉각장치의 적용에 따른 기관실 및 VRTU 내부 열 유동특성 분석 (An Analysis of the Thermal Flow Characteristics in Engine-Room and VTRU in accordance with Application of Thermoelectric Device Cooling System to Prevent Overheating of the Korean Navy Ship VRTU)

  • 본 연구에서는 대한민국 해군 함정의 하절기 운용 및 적도지병 파병 간 발생하고 있는 VRTU 과열로 인한 고온경보 발생과 장비정지 발생현상을 해결하기 위하여 해군 군수사령부 함정기술연구소와 공동연구를 수행하였다. 열전소자 냉각장치 설치에 따른 냉각효과를 확인하고, 전산 열 유동해석을 수행하여 VRTU 내부 열 유동특성을 분석하였다. 또 해석을 통해 기관실(디젤엔진룸) 내부의 온도분포를 살펴보고 VRTU 과열방지를 위한 최적의 설치위치를 알아보았다. 분석결과, 냉각장치를 설치함에 따라 VRTU 내부 평균 체적온도가 약 10 ℃ 감소하는 것을 확인하였으며 냉각장치에 설치된 Fan은 열 순환을 원활하게 하여 냉각효과를 높였다. 기관실 내부는 디젤엔진 상부에서 높은 온도분포를 나타냈고 통풍관 디퓨저 하부에서 가장 낮은 온도분포를 보였다. 열전소자 냉각장치는 높은 냉각성능을 나타내었으며, VRTU는 과열방지를 위하여 기관실의 통풍관 디퓨저 하부에 설치하는 것이 적절할 것으로 판단된다.
