  • As the Internet becomes a part of the infrastructure of the world, so will the process of creating useful digital libraries become an important part of our society. Previous generations of Internet were focused mainly on the technology. Today the focus has shifted to searching information usefully over the intelligent Digital Library. However the tension between new technologies and daily information needs was never resolved but was significantly noted by many researches. Recent findings show us to gain some feeling for the balancing act in information systems between technological and sociological factors. They shows that consideration in sociology is needed for the sound deployment after installation of digital library systems. This study focused on the importance of effects of non-technical factors for the new DL service period. Experiences and documents in the first generation DL period were scrutinized and analysed systematically. As a result, we find new idea, socio-technical approaches to the new DL services.

However, preparations degree of our country is not high as for the intelligence information technology. It is not easy to adopt a new technology on education for cultivating the creative future human resources to match a pace with intelligent smart society. In addition, it is hard work to find and derive the appropriate technology for education because proper and effective proof includes much difficulties. Therefore, this study develop the e-learning standard technology framework through the derivation of educational standard technology element and the suggestion of medium and long term standardization framework for the intelligence information society.

  • Recently, Korean society has emphasized the level of digital information usage in each individual's life due to the advent of the intelligent information society and the great digital transformation. The purpose of this study is to examine how the level of digital information usage of people with disabilities affects their satisfaction with life and whether social support moderates the relationship between the level of digital information usage and life satisfaction. This study analyzed the data of 2,200 people with disabilities taken from the 2020 Survey on the Digital Divide conducted by the National Information Society Agency. The results of the analysis suggest that people with disabilities have a higher degree of satisfaction when they are employed and have a higher than average monthly income and higher levels of digital information usage and social support. In addition, the results show that social support played a negative moderator role between the level of digital information usage and life satisfaction. This shows that life satisfaction can increase when the disabled frequently use digital devices and technologies in their daily lives without relying on social support, and suggested the need for intervention in policies and practice sites.

  • This study investigates the effects of different types of digital informatization (i.e. access, skill, utilization) on life satisfaction. The mediation effects of the outcome of digital device use between digital informatization and life satisfaction are also tested. The '2020 Survey on the Digital Divide' conducted by the National Information Society Agency was referenced for empirical analysis. The findings show that in general, digital informatization contributes to improving life satisfaction. In addition, the outcome of digital device use mediates the positive relationship between digital informatization and life satisfaction. However, the magnitudes of the effects of digital informatization and mediation effects differed according to the types of digital informatization. This study supports the necessity and justification for a digital informatization policy and provides valuable information that helps establish and promote digital informatization policies. In addition, this study helps to understand the determinants of the third-level digital divide information by examining the relationship between digital informatization and the outcome of digital device use.
