  • This paper presents a conceptual strategy and technologies for the digital transformation of design and construction of reinforced concrete (RC) structures. The development of an automated detail design strategy for RC structures is described. Integrated digital platform based on 5D BIM concept is proposed for the replacement of the current technology environment-based 2D CAD. Generally, the detail design development is labor-intensive and iterative. Effective automation of relevant aspects can dramatically improve productivity and accuracy. The proposed solutions for the automated BIM modeling based on the rebar and formwork detail design automation achieves the productivity and accuracy sufficient for site application. The platform integrates and manages the information flow between each solution or application and provides it to all participants of the project. Finally, it is expected that the proposed strategy and technologies can be further enhanced to achieve the productivity and accuracy needed for widespread site application and digital transformation.

  • The Three-dimensions digital documentation of cultural heritages mostly consist of drawings with 3D data, and require diverse attempts and researches. Three storied stone pagoda in Mulgeol-ri, Hongcheon underwent the disassembling repair, and its conditions before the disassembly, individual members and conditions after the preservation treatment were documented in 3D data. The 3D data of the stone pagoda before the disassembly and after the preservation treatment were comparatively analyzed by combining the member position data with the individual member data. The gaps between foundation stones became smaller after the preservation treatment, and each story made a square. The results will be used as important data in monitoring the deformation of and damage to the stone pagoda.

  • With the rapid expansion of application fields of vector data model such as CAD design drawing and GIS digital map, the security technique for vector data model has been issued. This paper presents the vector data hashing for the authentication and copy protection of vector data model. The proposed hashing groups polylines in main layers of a vector data model and generates the group coefficients by the line curve curvatures of the first and second type of all poly lines. Then we calculate the feature coefficients by projecting the group coefficients onto the random pattern and generate finally the binary hash from the binarization of the feature coefficients. From experimental results using a number of CAD drawings and GIS digital maps, we verified that the proposed hashing has the robustness against various attacks and the uniqueness and security by the random key.

  • In this study, from a long-term perspective, we tried to find and present a plan to apply the results of transformation of cadastral coordinates to the world geodetic system in stages for cadastral records of graphical and digital cadastral area. There was a case where the difference in area before and after the transformation occurred irregularly in the transformation result of the cadastral coordinate system currently being promoted. In addition, it was found that transformation errors in cadastral non-coincidence areas occurred accumulatively, and the period for acquiring world geodetic results for cadastral reference points was insufficient. In order to solve this problem, the study proposed a plan to provide spatial information and related fields through advancement of continuous cadastral maps, etc. for maps that have been primarily transformed by the end of 2020. In addition, the maps used for cadastral surveying purposes were presented in the direction of applying them to cadastral records in numerical form in the long term to conform to the characteristics of graphical and digital cadastral area. It is expected that more stable cadastral record will be reflected by applying the world coordinate transformation performance by dividing the graphical and digital cadastral area.

  • The existing calculation methods of the cadastral traverse survey was established in 1910s and are mostly outdated. The quality of these methods are not adequate to satisfy today's surveyor's needs that use a simple calculation method to distribute the error values. Thus, the main objective of this research is to find a methodology for appropriate calculation methods of the cadastral traverse survey that uses the general least square adjustment method with weight. Consequently, least square adjustment method has a better result than the previous one.

  • We are depending on tedious work by hand with tremendous time and effort in order to measure drawing of relics and remains despite of advanced computer and editing technology. Also, it is necessary to improve a designing element in the research report of cultural properties although we have more editorial and technical skills than we have done. The purpose of this article is to help to develop an aesthetic element and measurement of drawing of relics and remains for the effective editing in the current cultural properties research report. At the same time, through the gradual improvement of 3D scan and photographing techniques, research report of cultural properties will create database with useful and valuable material and provide aesthetic and efficient information.

  • Recently, with the eye-opening progress in the related field of computer, the development of high resolution digital camera enables more precise positioning in digital photogrammetry, and a lot of interest has been concentrated on its application. In this study, the algorithm and system which enable the measurement of 3D point more easily was developed by image pointing method using digital image, when the digital map of the Cultural Properties of Architectures in Modern Ages is drawn by photogrammetry. As a result, we can reduce the limitation of surveying control point, exposure condition, and construct the digital map and 3D model of architecture more efficiently.

  • The restoration of ceramics excavated in fragments is limited by the difficulty of inferring the overall shape of the original object. However, recent innovations in digital technology can help to overcome the limits of conventional restoration using handwork. This study explored the potential of digital technology by digitally restoring a shard from a white porcelain water dropper excavated at a kiln site at Sindae-ri. In order to complete the digital restoration, 3D scanning was applied to obtain scan data, and 3D modeling and texture mapping were performed. In this way, three-dimensional data with patterns and color information was acquired and the original form of the water dropper could be ascertained based on the shard. The study found that the data acquired from digital restoration can be used for various purposes, including for obtaining data on cross-sections or missing portions of a relic.
