Methodology for Designing Inter-device Connectivity by Classifying User Experience Step (사용자 경험단계의 분류를 통한 기기간 연결성디자인 방법론)

  • We are now in the era of digital convergence with CE products and PC at the center, but product diversification occurs in the same breath. Each device may perform its own functions itself independently, but proportion of the inter-device usage is increasing gradually by concept of a home network and ubiquitous widely prevailed. The consumer's need of inter-device connection will take the dominative position of the market. Therefore, we can easily forecast that diversification of the products may inevitably lead connectivity patterns complicated considering recent market situation and trends. In this paper, we propose the methodology for designing inter-device connectivity which covers issues such like segmenting numerous number of connectivity pattern, and establishing their structure of control. Our methodology also supports the inter-device connection with extensive latitudes and a multi-device simultaneous control. In order to present inter-device connectivity guideline, we define four stages of a user experience - Connection, Configuration, Use, Disconnection. Based on the 4 user experience stages, we suggest a specific connectivity designing guideline for each step.

Hair Design Kite that uses the Organic Form of Nature (자연의 유기적 형태를 응용한 헤어디자인 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to produce works with motifs from organic forms of nature and to try to drive various forms. As a research method, literature was investigated through rsearch in domestic academic jounals, and four hair sculptures that can be used easily in practice were produced by combining the organic forms and design concepts of nature. As a result of the study, first, the work was produced by applying the law of harmony and balance with the motif of the crescent moon. Second, the flow of wave waves was expressed by applying the law of repetition with the motif of waves. Third, the haze rising from the waterfall was expressed by applying the law of dissonance. Fourth, l tried to give the image of the sun announcing a new beginning by emphasizing the rising sun. As a result, it can be seen that the organic form of nature gives an embarrassing inspiration to create design. The limitation of this study is that the accuracy of producing works only with mannequins and producing the same image in the actual model should be limited, and as a follow-up study, research that can be used in the actual model should be continuously conducted.

  • As the residential culture of Korea is transformed from house oriented to apartment oriented residential environment these days, the bedroom closets are changing into the built-in furniture such as built-in closets. As the life style of consumers become richer and wealthy, the bedroom furniture is changing to respond for the forms, function, and design characteristics of the consumer's demand. Therefore, in this study, the characteristics of the built-in closets such as structure, function and material were studied to analyze the basic changes and compared the normal closet to the built-in closet to analyze the elements in terms of environment and convenience. Moreover, to develop forms and designs to fit various characteristics and differences of the consumers, various forms of consumer demand were analyzed. Therefore, this study intended to provide the basic information for providing the efficient form and structure that enables the use of internal space as the consumer wishes to change the design elements, and other spaces to fit the changed residential environment.

The Strategy between In-house Design and Business Domain (인하우스 디자인 구조모델과 사업도메인 전략)

  • This study is clarifying the relationship between domain and in-house design based on the perspective on organization and task of a design organization. Accordingly, the growth and expansion of organization requires a new strategy in respect of design sector and business domain. It is a guideline for developing advanced business domain and design management in the limited strategic system of design department to analyze relatively the structural model of design, and to seek for any feasibility of strategic application. And this study comes to be basic data for defining the relationship between domain and in-house design. Consequently, both of strategic design management to back up the task of design organization and the module to support the design planning should be flexibly systemized.
