  • 문구ㆍ팬시 업종의 생산품은 아동용품과 문구류가 대부분을 차지한다. 이러한 제품의 특성으로 인해 아동들에게 새로운 제품을 시장에 신속하게 소개하는 제품개발력이 경쟁우위의 요소가 된다. 이러한 경쟁우위 전략을 위해서는 창의적인 개념을 가지고 디자인 할 수 있는 능력과 이러한 개별적인 능력을 바탕으로 통합적인 신제품개발 전략과 시스템을 구현하는 것이 우선 과제가 될 것이다. 지금까지는 신제품개발을 단순하게 프로젝트 차원에서 각기 관리하는 방식에서 탈피하여 총체적인 신제품개발 프로세스를 분석하고 그 시스템을 구축해야 한다. 이 논문에서는 신속하고 창의적인 제품개발을 할 수 있도록 통합적 신제품개발 시스템을 구현하고자 한다.

  • 오늘날 치열한 경쟁 속의 한정된 시장에서는 대기업이든 중소벤처기업이든 판매단가 인하, 원가절감, 품질개선, 디자인 변경, 연구개발 등 기존의 경영전략만으로는 지속적인 성장이 어려운 상황이다. 이에 Cisco, MS 등 글로벌 선도 기업들은 글로벌 고객과 자원(원료, 고급인력 등)을 신속히 확보하기 위하여 경쟁사와의 제휴는 물론 M&A(Mergers and Acquisitions; 인수합병)전략을 적극적으로 활용하고 있다. 하물며 대기업보다 기업 외부환경이나 기업내부자원(자금, 인적능력 등)측면에서 상대적으로 열위에 있는 중소벤처기업들이 M&A를 통하지 않고 자체사업만으로 지속적으로 성장하기는 어려운 일이라고 생각된다.

A Study on Ways of Promoting Design Management in Domestic Small and Medium Businesses (국내 중소기업의 디자인경영 활성화 방안에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide domestic small and medium manufacturing businesses with effective ways of introducing and promoting design management, earnestly, as a key strategy for raising corporate competitiveness. For the purpose, this researcher discussed the management property of small and medium businesses, the introducing process and method and the necessity of promoting design management in small and medium businesses. Then the researcher reviewed and analyzed existing empirical studies to know the current status of design introduction and design management promotion i domestic small and medium businesses. Results of the study can be described as below. Prerequisite to the successful introduction by domestic small and medium businesses of design management are three CEO determinations - the firm will to the necessity of design introduction, the firm conviction in design efficacy, and the clear recognition of the existential value of design - and the establishment of at least five infrastructures -design organization, CDO, designers, design policy, and design strategy. For the promoting and succeeding in the execution of design management, design management system should have established based on such determinations and infrastructures, and CEOs should have design management mind firmly established and driven and realized next activities in the process of product development. 1) Set the principle of design priority in a new product development and establish an appropriate production system and environment. 2) Decide a new design development as the top-priority task of management and then practice it in a strategic way. 3) Be positive in design investment while accepting design management as a concept related not to cost, but to investment. 4) Utilize design extensively under the understanding that design management has something to do with corporate design system as a whole. 5) Treat design as the most valuable resource of business under the recognition that design is the most important determinant of corporate competitiveness.

  • This research has focused on CI development by regional government, with emphasis on CI case study of Suncheon, Chonnam Province. Suncheon is located at the most east pan of Chonnam Province and famous as a starting point of temple Tour. CI for Suncheon City was studied and developed to promote the pride and love for Suncheon and to enhance the unique image of Suncheon to the tourists.

  • The objective of this case study is to analyze how effectively KIA K5, which is a leading mid-size car brand, has positioned itself into the mid-size car market. Before KIA launched the K5, Sonata and SM5 were the leading brands in the mid-size car market. They had loyal customers who like their similar images. As many competitors keep launching new brands or new designs into the car industry, Sonata and SM5 were pressured to introduce new versions. But, the YF Sonata and the New SM5 failed to catch up with the new trends in the market. Whilst YF Sonata was perceived as too innovative, the New SM5 was treated as an old car by the target customers of the mid-size car. While the two leading brands struggled to attract customers, KIA K5 found a new market space by identifying and focusing on the lucrative replace and up-grade demand segment and filling the gap between the current product category values and the emerging mid-size car category values. The K5 found the right values that customers need and successfully articulated the values to the customers. This case study illustrates that a successful positioning strategy can be effectively employed to attract customers in the saturated car manufacturing industry. This case can be summarized as the successful positioning strategy of KIA K5 is comprised of four primary pillars: design innovation, market analysis, STP (segmentation, targeting, and positioning), and launch strategy. The KIA K5 case study provides valuable insights and implications for many other companies that are planning to find a proper positioning strategy for their own business.

  • In order to suggest the utilization measures suitable of the 4th industry and design right in the management of jewelry company and also applying it to Korean jewelry industry, Also, the current status of Korean jewelry industry and design right was researched. Based on the theoretical background, the hypotheses were set up. After conducting a survey on the 4th industry, design right, management mind, and management intention targeting jewelry industry workers focusing on the set-up hypotheses. In the results The job currently working for in the jewelry industry and the job desired in the future were the design with the highest ratio, so that the importance of design was high in Korean jewelry industry. Also, design was the first priority of management mind, important elements of jewelry industry management, and successful management strategy while technology showed a bit less importance than factors of marketing, capital, and personal connections.

A study on Digital-based Strategic Management on the New Normal Era (뉴노멀 시대의 디지털 기반 전략경영에 관한 연구)

  • This study decided that it was necessary to present a strategy for survival in the new normal era and securing competitive advantage, and tried to suggest a management strategic alternative. To this end, this study derives the new normal caused by Corona 19 and the business environment change trend and response strategy type caused by this through literature research and intensive interviews of 10 corporate CEOs. This study limited the scope of the study to the digital-based management and business-level strategic alternatives among strategic alternatives that can be deployed in various fields and areas. Business structure redesign strategy, resilience reinforcement strategy, ESG management strategy, and digital transformation strategy were suggested as alternatives to corporate-level digital-based strategies. As an alternative to business-level digital-based strategies, a digital strategy for industrial structure leading, a competitive strategy for digital innovation, an open innovation platform strategy, and a customer value-oriented strategy were suggested. It contributed in that it was an attempt to systematize a digital-based strategy more and it contributed in that it can support companies who have to deal with difficult situations wisely to implement strategic responses more systematically.

  • 월간 포장계에서는 금번 4월호부터 12월호에 걸쳐, 패키지디자인에 있어서의 심리학의 중요성을 피력해 보고자 한다. 본 지는 이를 통해 패키지디자이너는 물론 경영자, 패키지 관련 용기, 기계, 재료 등 전 분야의 종사자들이 패키지디자인을 하는데 있어서 마케팅적 사고의 범주에서 벗어나 소비자 심리를 이해하고 공감하기를 기대해 본다. 본 고에서는 '포장디자인은 소비자 기억을 촉진시키도록 디자인되어야 한다'는 명제 아래, 패키지디자인은 기업의 일방적인 메시지에 앞서 소비자가 원하는 정보를 소비자 가치 기준에 맞춰 디자인해야 할 것을 강조해 보고, 소비자의 기억을 촉진시켜 구매로 유도하기 위해 전략적으로 디자인 해야할 것을 제시해보도록 한다.
