  • During the last decade, the dominant design of display has been LCD, and it has been led by Korean manufacturers. However, their leading positions has been recently threatened by Chinese manufacturers, Korean manufacturers are endeavoring to move toward next generation display technologies. They embarked on standards battle to win dominant design especially in the next generation display market for TVs by launching new technologies such as Quantum-dot display and OLED. While there are a number of factors of dominant design, it is expected that the technical attributes of the technology itself may be the most significant factor. For this reason, this research scrutinizes consumer preferences for technical attributes, and attempts to provide implications for standards battle in the display (for the TVs) sector. For this purpose, we employed a conjoint analysis for the preferences of potential consumers. The results show that potential consumers prefer displays with higher resolution, natural color, and durabillity.

  • A change request in design education is a phenomenon manifested by changes in the value of the industry and market demands. Changes in external requirements and internal values that affect the design industry today are shifting from consumer-centered design to stakeholder-centered design. At the center of these changes, design education should be transformed into an educational mechanism that conforms to the characteristics of each field and design specialization should coincide with the direction of the capitalist market. Design specialization must realize the policy of education in economic value first, and should be changed to a design process that enhances rationality and efficiency from the previous apprenticeship education.

  • The purpose of this study is to propose the direction of competence of future designers required in the fourth industrial revolution. Designers have played an intermediary role in connecting technology and human beings. Therefore, in the fourth industrial revolution the capacity required to perform the intermediate role as a designer has also changed. The paradigm of design which changed step by step through the literature survey was studied. In addition, priorities were confirmed by comparing past and future designer competencies through prior research on designer competencies. As a result, we confirmed that the planning competence to solve complex problems and the competence of design management to realize them. Based on this research, we hope to be able to recognize the direction of competence as a designer in the fourth industrial revolution and to be a reference material for the follow - up study.

  • This research has focused on CI development by regional government, with emphasis on CI case study of Suncheon, Chonnam Province. Suncheon is located at the most east pan of Chonnam Province and famous as a starting point of temple Tour. CI for Suncheon City was studied and developed to promote the pride and love for Suncheon and to enhance the unique image of Suncheon to the tourists.

Originally, the function and necessity of packaging is on preservability, but today it is expending before. then packaging is focusing on sales promotion. Although it is hard to say production itself, it could does when it is made. also, it is important for product to be goods when packaging and its materials are identification on matching each other. The role of packaging design is a core factor that satisfy consumer a various of needs and wants. In the past, the role of food packaging design is just preservability and delivery on product. but then, nawaday it is asked a various role. Not only present products have to get inherency but also have added value. That is, advanced technologies, information, and richness from materials which are diversity for coming a extention of choice. currently, food packaging design shouldn't have stayed on just packaging which cover beautiful. Packaging design is a symbolic sign. It is importance for manager to do R&D, producing, and distribution, also for consumer who use and buy the product whether manager and consumer think package design is a main mediation. This day, food design pay attention to be asking consumer's a number of sensitivity. It is the reason that the package is importance and exist. This article is to examine preservability, delivery, subdivision, aesthetic, serviceability, and environmental orientation in order to develop and show a method and theories to find package design in food industry the reason that why sales promotion and its profit increase. Consequently, draw on the function of package design effects the benefit on product is distribution. Green Design on the food packages by combining recycled and biodegradable food packages for the development of practices and long life to the look of the food package design practices.

  • Environmental change of consuming contents has led corporates to acknowledge the possibility of social media as being marketing platform. And as the importance of 'contents' is growing bigger at the same time, 'Content Marketing' is getting attention because 'Content' plays the key role in current marketing since it can deliver meaningful values to the companies and the customers both. Many companies are practicing contents marketing employing YouTube by not only creating their own YouTube channels and YouTube contents but also collaborating with YouTube creators. Purpose of this study is to figure out how domestic standalone beauty brands that are actively practicing content marketing, are exploiting the YouTube and to suggest design direction for future YouTube content marketing. 'Etude', 'Innisfree', 'Misha', 'The Face Shop' were selected for analyzing the content marketing cases using YouTube. As a result, this study could conclude that if the brand has inadequate number of subscribers, it is better to collaborate with the creators. Also, clarifying contents' purpose and distinguishing the way of delivering it is important.
