The Development of PC based Ink-and-wash Drawing System Using Wiimote (위모트를 이용한 PC 기반 수묵화적 드로잉 시스템 개발)

  • The general technique of ink-and-wash drawing consists of brush, ink and paper modeling and brush movement, ink diffusion and paper material simulation. In this paper, we suggest the simplified Qing's tank model that can decrease the computational time of ink diffusion and absorption on korean paper. The suggested drawing system is classified the characteristics of ink-and-wash into ink-shade, diffusion, line and paper. Also, the user's movement using motion sensor and IR sensor in wiimote is transmitted to brush position and direction.

  • Flow forming is a chipless metal forming method for axi-symmetric parts, which is more economical. efficient and versatile method of producing parts than the other sheet metal forming process such as stamping or deep drawing. In this study, flow forming process with 1-Roller is applied to produce auto-transmission parts of automobiles which have been produced by Press drawing process so far. It can be known that flow forming process is applicable to the flexible manufacturing system due to the low cost for the establishment and it can be combined with press forming process to promote productivity and to improve the accuracy of products.

  • 국내 의류ㆍ패션디자인 분야의 CAD 및 도식화 프로그램은 다양하게 존재하고 있으나, 본 연구에서는 데이터베이스 시스템을 접목한 피스 기반의 디자인 CAD와 도식화 시스템을 구현하였다. 본 시스템에서는 도식화 피스에 대하여 다양한 분류와 검색어를 제공해 디자이너가 사용하고자 하는 데이터를 빠르고 쉽게 찾아 활용할 수 있다 본 시스템은 사용하기 쉬운 사용자 인터페이스(GUI), 다양한 드로잉 도구 지원, 벡터형식 문서지원. XML 기반의 데이터 활용, 다양한 라이브러리 제공, 쉬운 Mapping 기능 등을 제공한다.

  • This paper describes a research work on the development of computer-aided design system far the deep drawing & ironing of high pressure gas cylinder. An approach to the design system is based on the knowledge-based rules. Knowledge for the system is formulated from plasticity theories, handbook, experimental results and the empirical knowledge of field experts. This system has been written in AutoLISP on the AutoCAD Rl4.0 using personal computer. This system is composed of three modules which are input. process design and drawing.

  • One of the most important steps to determine the blank shape and dimensions in deep drawing process is to calculate the surface area of the product. In general, the surface area of axisymmetric products is calculated by mathematical or graphical methods. However, in the case of non-axisymmetric products, it is difficult to calculate the exact surface area due to errors as separated components. Fortunately, it is possible for elliptical products to recognize the geometry of the product in the long side and short side by drafting in another two layers on AutoCAD software. So, in this study, a surface area calculating system is constructed for a design of blank shape of deep drawing products. This system consists of input geometry recognition module and three dimensional modeling module, respectively. The suitability of this system is verified by applying to a real deep drawing product. The system constructed in this study would be very useful to reduce lead time and cost for determining the blank shape and dimensions.

  • 대칭성(symmetry)은 그래프의 구조와 특성을 시각적으로 표현할 때 중요한 미적 기준 중의 하나이다. 또한 대칭성을 보여주는 드로잉은 전체 그래프가 크기가 작은 부그래트들로부터 반복적으로 구성됨을 보여줌으로써 전체 그래프에 대한 이해를 쉽게 푸는 해주는 장점이 있다. 하지만 일반적인 그래프에서 기하하적 대칭성(geometric symmetry)을 탐지하는 문제는 이미 NP-complete 임이 증명되었으므로 이에 대한 연구는 평면 그래프(planar graph)의 극히 제한적인 부분집합인 트리, 외부 평면 그래프, 임베딩된 (embedded) 평면 그래프 등에 초점이 맞추어져 왔다. 본 논문에서는 평면 그래프에서의 기하학적 대칭성 문제를 연구하였다. 평면 그래프를 이중 연결 성분들로 분할한 다음 이를 각각 다시 삼중 연결 성분들로 분할하여 트리를 구성하고 축소(reduction)개념을 도입함으로써 기하학적 대칭성을 탐지하는 O(n2)시간 알고리즘을 제시하였다. 여기서 n은 그래프의 정점의 개수이다. 이 알고리즘은 평면 그래프를 최대한 대칭적으로 드로잉하는 알고리즘 개발에 이용될 수 있다.

  • In this study, to create circular holes on an inclined conic face, we developed a novel process of vertical piercing on the plane before drawing, instead of applying an expensive cam-piercing method. The pierced holes are deformed during the drawing, and their shapes are affected by the size of the center hole. Using the Abaqus CAE program, the deformation tendency of the holes, according to the diameter of the center hole, was identified, and the diameter for securing the roundness of the side holes were determined through actual experiments. The developed process was successfully applied to mass production of the part, and a cost reduction is expected.

  • In recent, projection mapping, which has attracted high attention in the field of realistic media, is regarded as a technology to increase the users' immersion. However, most existing methods perform projection mapping on static objects. In this paper, we developed a technology to track the movements of users and dynamically map the media contents to the users' bodies. The projected media content is built by predefined gestures just using the user's bare hands without the special devices. An interactive immersive media system has been implemented by integrating these dynamic projection mapping technologies and gesture-based drawing technologies. The proposed realistic media system recognizes the movements and open / closed states of the user 's hands, selects the functions necessary to draw a picture. The users can freely draw the picture by changing the color of the brush using the colors of any real objects. In addition, the user's drawing is dynamically projected on the user's body, allowing the user to design and wear his t-shirt in real-time.

  • This paper presents a method for real-time 3D Sumi-e rendering us ing normal graphics hardware. Sumi-e is one of the traditional oriental painting styles. Most research on Sumi-e paintings has focused on 2D or :2.5D Sumi-e brushwork simulation. On these systems. complicated user's hand drawing is required to generate the image of Sumi-e effects. and it can render the 2D or 2.5D Sumi-e images only. We present an automated rendering system for 3D image of Sumi-e painting. It uses 3D common object as an input data and does not need any additional input of user brushwork. Especially for the real-time rendering. hardware-accelerated algorithm for Sumi-e rendering is newly suggested in our system. It is designed with efficiency for customer level graphics hard ware. The results of this paper show that the features of traditional Sumi-e painting are successfully modeled and that 3D Sumi-e painting is rendered in real-time effectively.
