AZ31B 마그네슘 판재의 온,열간 딮드로잉 성형성 및 공정해석 (A Study on the Deep drawing drawability and Analyzing process of AZ31B Magnesium Sheet at Warm and Hot temperature)

  • The drawability of AZ31B magnesium sheet is estimated at various temperatures (200, 250, 300, 350 and $400^{\circ}C$), and forming speed (20, 50, 100 mm/min), thickness (0.5, 0.8, 1.0, 1.4 mm). The deep drawing process of circular cup and square cup were used in forming experiments. Experimental and FEM analysis are performed to investigate drawability and affection of controlled blank holding force. Through the controlled blank holding force, drawability was improved. This result is verified by FEM analysis. Through the observation of microstructure, the main cause is investigated as a quantity of the dynamic recrystallization.

두 방향 주름구조를 내부구조로 하는 금속 샌드위치 판재의 제작 및 성형 (Fabrication and forming of metallic sandwich plates with bi-directional corrugated inner structure)

  • Metallic sandwich plates with hi-directional inner structure are important new structures for forming applications. Bi-directional corrugated inner structures with less than 25% of relative density are fabricated by piecewise sectional forming process and then bonded with two face sheets by adhesive bonding. Drawing and U-bending experiments have performed and shown that the radius of curvature of sandwich plates is 75mm and sandwich plates are bended 90 degrees without collapse of inner structures. Bi-directional inner structures are suggested to improve formability of sandwich plates for bending and drawing.

  • Due to the low densities and high specific strength and stiffness, magnesium alloy sheets are very attractive lightweight materials for automotive and electrical products. However, the magnesium alloy sheets should be usually formed at elevated temperature because of their poor formability at room temperature. For the use of the magnesium alloy sheets for an industrial, their mechanical properties at elevated temperature and appropriate forming process conditions have to be developed. In this study, non-isothermal simulation of a square cup drawing of magnesium alloy sheets have been conducted to evaluate a proper forming process conditions such as the tool temperature, the tool shoulder radius, friction between the blank and the tools. According to this study, appropriate forming process conditions of square cup drawing at elevated temperature from magnesium alloy sheets are suggested.

  • This article is aimed primarily at establishing a process planning method for complex circular shells. For the deep drawing of complex shaped shell, the optimum process design is required to reduce the trial cost, improve the quality, increase the productivity and shorten the delivery. The present approach which is related to the optimum process planning is based on the empirical knowledge through trial and error in the industrial field. In order to check the validity and the effectiveness of proposed work, a sample process design has been applied to the multi-stepped deep drawing of complex shell considering the process variables such as drawing rate, radius and blank development. In particular, the difference between the limiting drawing rate and the optimum drawing rate has been discussed and has been shown the usefulness of present suggestion.

  • Some deep drawing characteristics to the elevated temperatures were investigated for the SCP1 steel sheets by using the Cr-coated die. For this investigations six steps of temperature ranges from room temperature to 25$0^{\circ}C$ and six kinds of drawing ratio from 2.4 to 2.9 were adopted. As a result the limiting drawing ration maximum drawing force and the maximum drawing depth were sensitively affected by the elevated temperatures and the more stable thickness strain distribution was observed to the elevated temperatures, Some experimental results were compared with analytical results using the DYNA-3D code.

  • This study is to investigate the effects of warm deep drawing with steel sheets of SCP3C and SCP1 for improving deep drawability. Experiments were carried out in various working conditions such as forming temperature and lubricantion. The effect of lubricantion and temperature on drawabillity of steel sheets as well as thickness distribution of drawn oil pan were examined and discussed. One step forming at room temperature and uniform distribution of thickness was achieved at optimum formability for lubricantion. The optimum forming temperature was obtained that both the die and the blankholder were heated to 10$0^{\circ}C$ while the punch was cooled by circulating coolant of $0^{\circ}C$.

  • In order to investigate the effect of flange wrinkling on the wall break of a deep drawn rectangular cup, experiments and simulation were done. The effect of the wrinkling height on drawing force and wall break for a moving blank holder system with spacer were studied by setting a fixed clearance between the drawing die and the blank holder. Simulation and experimental results showed that wall break could be provoked by the flange wrinkling. As the wrinkling height increased, the punch force grew. The maximum punch force was obtained at its final stage of stroke.

  • In this paper, a computer-aided design system for axisymmetric deep drawing process will be described. An approach to the system is based on the knowledge based system. The system has been written in AutoLISP with personal computer. The system is composed of four main modules, such as input , geometrical design, test & rectification and user modification . The system which aids designer provides powerful capabilities for the design of axisymmetric deep drawing process.

  • In this study, drawing process of KFP engine airsealing bearing support part is analyzed by dynamic explicit finite element method. Puckering should be supressed to meet the specification. By investigating the influence fo process parameter, the feasible process condition can be obtained. The corresponding experiment is carried out. There is good agreement between the experiment and FE simulation . From this result, it is shown that the dynamic explicit finite element method can be used effectively to avoid puckering and wrinking problem in drawing process.

  • In order to obtain the optimal products in deep drawing process elliptical deep drawing tests were carried out with several shape radii of the punch and die. As parameters on testing shape radii of the punch and die were selected, In addition the conventional shape radii have been determined by trial=and-error using industrial experience and post processing test and only approximate shape radii of the punch and die have been presented. The optimal shape radii of the punch and die in elliptical deep drawing process with biaxisymmetric blank shape are proposed. In this study we suggest the appropriate conditions to be applicable to the catual manufacturing processes through the experiment and finite element method.
