헤어드라이기의 팬 형상에 따른 열변형에 관한 연구 (A Study on Thermal Deformation due to Fan Shape of Hair Dryer)

  • This study investigates thermal deformation due to fan shape of a hair dryer. In this study, thermal analysis showed that the shape of an electric fan results in lower temperature than that of a sieve frame. Among the shapes of electric fans, the temperature change decreases as the number of wings decreases. As a result of thermal deformation, model 4 (sieve frame shape) showed increased change of deformation compared to models 1, 2, and 3 (with electric fan shapes). Thus, the model 1 dryer with the sieve frame shape is shown to have the least durability among models 1, 2, 3, and 4. It is thought that the analysis results of this study can be applied to durability improvement and safer design of hair dryers.

  • As environmental restrictions have continuously become more strict, it has emphasized development of environment-friendly technologies. In cutting technology, it has been well recognized that cutting fluids might have undesirable effects on worker's health and working environment and, hence, recently there have been numerous attempts to minimize harmful effects of cutting fluids on environments. To minimize the use of cutting fluids in machining, conventional cutting fluids have been replaced with the technologies of pressurized cold air and minimum quantity lubrication(MQL). Compared with milling, turning is a continuous cutting process, where tools are continuously heated up and lack of lubricity could lead to tool wear and deteriorated surface roughness. In this study, it has been investigated how tool wear and surface roughness could be affected by cutting conditions, supply and cooling methods. The experimental results show that MQL technology is able to minimize harmful effects of conventional cutting fluids.

현무암석분 슬러지를 재활용한 드라이몰탈의 기초적 성능평가 (Basic Performance Evaluation of Dry Mortar Recycled Basalt Powder Sludge)

  • 본 연구는 최근 제주도 지역에서 현무암 가공과정에서 발생되는 폐기물인 석분슬러지를 재활용하기 위한 방안으로써 일반 시멘트몰탈에 사용되는 잔골재 대신에 현무암 석분슬러지의적용가능성에 대해 실험하였다. 드라이 몰탈의 재료로서의 기초적인 성능을 평가하기 위해 압축강도와 휨강도를 평가하고, SEM을 통해 미세구조를 관찰하였다. 현무암 슬러지 대체율 21%까지는 압축 및 휨강도는 증가하였으며, 보통 드라이몰탈보다 약 40% 강도 증진 효과가 있다. 현무암 슬러지의 대체율 약 20%이상에서는 상대적으로 수화생성물이 적게 생성되었다. 본 연구를 통해 현무암 슬러지 폐기물의 활용성을 확인할 수 있었으며, 콘크리트 2차 제품의 성형에도 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

  • As the environmental regulations become stricter, new machining technologies are being developed which takes envi ronmenta 1 aspects into account . Since cut t ing oi I has some impact on environment. many researches are being carried out to minimize the use of cutting oi I. The methods for minimizing cutting oil usage includes the following techniques: I ) Cooling of tools and work piece. 2) Useage of compressed cooling air for the removal of chip. 3) Minimal useage of environment-friendly vegetable cutt:ngoiI for lubrication between chip and tools. Since the turning machine is continuous, tools are under constant thermal load and tool wear increases as the lubricative performance degrades. Also surface roughnesses have a direct influence on turning. In order to examine the characteristics of turningmachining, this work investigates experimentally the degree of tool wear and characteristics of surface roughness in relation to machining conditions, supply methods, and cooling methods.

  • Recently, various efforts to make more speedy and precision machine tool to improve productivity and also various efforts to solve environmental problem are going on, so that dry cutting in manufacturing industry, which needs environmental conscious design and development of manufacturing technique, is becoming a very important assignment to solve. Because dry cutting does not use cutting fluid, we need other methods that can be used instead of cutting fluid, which does cooling, lubricating, chip washing, and anti-corrosion. Especially, because turning is a continuous work, the consideration of tool life and surface roughness due to continuous heat and poor lubrication is important. The purposes of this paper are the consideration of how well the compressed air can work instead of cutting fluid, and also the development of the method to select the optimum machining condition by the minimum numbers of experiments through the Taguchi method.

  • Recently, environmental conscious machining becomes one of the most important technology in modern manufacturing industry. Especially in metal cutting, cutting fluid often results in many environmental problems. Many technologies have been developed to reduce the problems of the cutting fluid. But most of the technologies need another devices which sometimes require large space and also are very expensive, such as cooling system. In this paper, air compressor is only used to replace the functions of cutting fluid as semi-dry cutting. Cutting forces, cutting moments, and tool wear were measured to obtain cutting characteristics, and were compared with those of dry cutting and non-dry cutting. In the results of the experiments, semi-dry cutting was found to show better cutting performances than dry cutting and non-dry cutting.

CTP용 다 채널 LD - 드라이버 설계 (Multi-channel LD - Driver designed for CTP(computer to plate))

  • 레이져 다이오드(이하 LD)는 현재 의료용, 산업용 가공, 센서, 광고용기기, 인쇄장비 등등 많은 분야에서 연구되고 실제 산업현장에서 적용되어 사용되고 있다. 하지만 정밀한 취급이 요구되는 LD의 민감한 특성상 그 효용성에 비해서 실제 사용은 전문분야에 국한되어진다. 본 논문에서는 LD가 가지는 정전기, 전류, 열, 물리적 충격 등에 대한 민감한 특성을 고려하여, 다양한 파장대의 LD를 안정적으로 드라이빙 할 수 있는 샘플 모듈을 직접 제작해보고, 더 나아가 하나의 LD가 아닌 다수(다채널)의 LD 제어를 인쇄용 CTP(Computer To Plate) 장비를 통해 연구해 본다. 특히 현 CTP장비의 다채널 제어가 64채널에 한정되어 있음을 착안해, 이의 두 배인 128채널의 LD 제어를 목표로 하고, 이때 발생하는 시작점의 LD와 끝점의 LD 사이의 망점 간의 딜레이 문제점에 대한 해결 방안을 제시하고, 또한 실제 CTP 장비에 장착한 후 인쇄 속도와 해상도를 비교하여 128채널 LD 제어의 효율을 비교해본 후, 마지막으로 256채널 LD 제어의 가능성을 검토해본다.
