A legged robot is friendly to human because it is resemble to human. And the robot can obtain support points freely because it has high degree of freedom for several joint as compared with a wheeled robot. Also the robot can create the relative position at desired position between support position and robot. The joint of robot cu used as manipulator. On the contrary the mechanism of robot is complicated to have many joint and moving speed is lower than wheeled robot. Also the legged robot is needed a special control not to fall on the ground because the robot is easy to vibrate when it is moving. The 4 leg structure is the minimum leg numbers not to fall and to realize safety gait continuously. A trot gait is investigated through experiments using a quadruped walking robot named TITAN-VIII.

In this paper, we propose a deep learning-based person re-identification method using a three-dimensional RGB-Depth Xtion2 camera considering joint coordinates and dynamic features(velocity, acceleration). The main idea of the proposed identification methodology is to easily extract gait data such as joint coordinates, dynamic features with an RGB-D camera and automatically identify gait patterns through a self-designed one-dimensional convolutional neural network classifier(1D-ConvNet). The accuracy was measured based on the F1 Score, and the influence was measured by comparing the accuracy with the classifier model (JC) that did not consider dynamic characteristics. As a result, our proposed classifier model in the case of considering the dynamic characteristics(JCSpeed) showed about 8% higher F1-Score than JC.

The technology implementation method was diversified into an 'autonomous cooperative driving' method to overcome the limitations of a stand-alone autonomous vehicle with vehicle sensor-based autonomous driving. The autonomous cooperative driving method involves exchanging information between roadside infrastructure and autonomous vehicles. In this process, the concept of dynamic information (LDM), a target of cooperation, was established. But, evaluation methods and standards for dynamic information have not been established. Therefore, this study, a dynamic information evaluation method based on information on pedestrians within the moving objects. In addition, autonomous cooperative driving was demonstrated, and dynamic information was also verified through the evaluation method. The significance of this study is that it established the dynamic information evaluation methodology for autonomous cooperative driving for the first time. Based on this, this study is expected to contribute to the application of safe autonomous cooperative driving technology to the field.

The death rate of pedestrian in car accidents in Korea is 2.5 times higher than the average of OECD countries'. If a system that can detect pedestrians and send alarm to drivers is built and reduces the rate, it is worth developing such a pedestrian detection system (PDS). Since the accident rate in which pedestrians are involved is higher at nighttime than in daytime, the adoption of nighttime PDS is being standardized by big auto companies. However, they are usually using night visions or multiple sensors, which are usually expensive. In this paper we suggest a method for nighttime PDS using single wide dynamic range (WDR) monochrome camera in visible spectrum band. In our experiments, pedestrians were accurately detected if only most edges of pedestrians could be obtained.

In order to control a dynamic gait of quadrupedal walking robot, the equations of motion of the whole mechanism are required. In this research, the equations of motion are formulated analytically using Kane's dynamic approach. As a dynamic gait model, a trot gait has been adopted. The degree of freedom of whole mechanism could be reduced to 7 by idealizing the kinematic feature of the trot gait. Using the equations of motion formulated, the results of the redundant-joint torque analysis and the simulation of dynamic walking motion are presented.
This paper proposes a sequential state estimation model consisting of continuous and discrete variables, as a way of generalizing all discrete-state factorial HMM, and gives a design of gait motion model based on the idea. The discrete state variable implements a Markov chain that models the gait dynamics, and for each state of the Markov chain, we created a Gaussian process over the space of the continuous variable. The Markov chain controls the switching among Gaussian processes, each of which models the rotation or various views of a gait state. Then a particle filter-based algorithm is presented to give an approximate filtering solution. Given an input vector sequence presented over time, this finds a trajectory that follows a Gaussian process and occasionally switches to another dynamically. Experimental results show that the proposed model can provide a very intuitive interpretation of video-based gait into a sequence of poses and a sequence of posture states.

This study studied the effect of visual difference on balance and walking ability in college students' life care. The study was conducted on 45 students attending H University in G City, divided into control groups (n=22, not wearing glasses and contact lenses) and experimental groups (n=23, wearing glasses and contact lenses). In not wearing glasses and contact lenses, the subjects measured visual acuity with logMAR charts, evaluated their balance ability with BIOrescue, and evaluated walking ability with G-Walk. The results of this study showed that the experimental group had statistically significantly lower vision than the control group in the visual acuity measurement(p<.01). Static balance ability was statistically significant increase in center of mass movement of the right foot in the experimental group compared to the control group(p<.05). Dynamic balance ability was statistically significantly reduce in limit of stability for groups of experiments compared to control group(p<.05). The walking ability was statistically significantly shorter on step length and stride length, swing of the experimental group compared to the control group in the right foot(p<.05). The findings showed that the visual difference in university students reduces balance and walking ability. Therefore, university students with poor visual acuity are recommended to correct of visual acuity to prevent collision and falls in their daily lives.
