A Study on Dynamic Map Data Provision System for Automated Vehicle (자율주행을 위한 동적지도정보 제공에 관한 연구)

  • This study aims to develop the Vehicle Local Dynamic Map (V-LDM) and demonstrate its performance for providing dynamic map data efficiently to the vehicle control module. Firstly, the concept of the in-vehicle LDM has been established and then the system has been carefully designed according to the international standards. The high-precision digital map embedded in LDM has been designed to incorporate the lane-level information of road network, and the Dynamic Map protocol (DM protocol) which is a message protocol including the road data with dynamic traffic event data has been defined. The performance test of the proposed system has been conducted in the uninterrupted road section of Kyungbu expressway, showing that both of the data size and the elapsed time to finish the process are almost linearly proportional to the length of target road. Finally, it is recommended that the length of target road for DM protocol be less than 250m.

  • A variable bit-rate based video services have much limitation for bandwidth management, since its trarfic has a some variances in frame level. In particular, the bandwidth management for video which has characteristics of VBR traffic such a MPEG video could be more complicated. Also, it is difficult to manage the bandwidth effectively for proving a VCR function from VOD service, since we don't know the traffic variance exactly at that time. In this paper, we proposed the dynamic bandwidth allocation a scheme based on VBR traffic based stored video such as MPEG for interactive video service. This scheme can maximize the given total bandwidth through the prefetch based variable length bandwidth allocation scheme and dynamic bandwidth management scheme for multiple streams. Also, our scheme can be used for a MPEG-based bandwidth allocation scheme, and provides the method that can maximize the utilization of network resource for multiple stream by using a dynamic bandwidth management.

Mechanical Properties of Minerals in Daejeon Granite According to Depths by Dynamic Ultra-micro Hardness (동적 초미소 경도법에 의한 심도별 대전화강암 내 광물들의 역학적 특성)

  • The hardness and mechanical properties of the minerals in the Daejeon granite according to depths were investigated by indentation test, load-unload test, and cycle test of dynamic ultra-micro hardness. As a result of the tests, it was possible to classify into three mineral groups (Group-1, -2, -3). The Martens hardness was not significantly different between 41 m and 223 m depths in three mode tests. Nevertheless, they showed in the order of a cycle test < load-unload test < indentation test. Considering the average Martens hardness, elastic modulus, and indentation work for each mineral group, their boundaries were relatively clear. In conclusion, A relatively accurate hardness of minerals can be obtained by three mode tests of dynamic ultra-micro hardness. In addtion, it was possible to characterize the elastic modulus and the elastic-plastic properties of the minerals from the load-unload and cycle tests.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the cause of rail corrugation and the track force for concrete track (STEDEF) in the urban transit. From the field measurements, the dynamic wheel load, vertical displacement of sleeper and rail bending stress were measured and it was evaluated by regarding to the rail corrugation. As a result of the study, the causes of rail corrugation was experimentally proved by frequency analysis using measured dynamic wheel load data. The influence of corrugation on dynamic wheel load, rail bending stress and sleeper displacement was evaluated that the periodic irregularities of rail corrugation on the rail surface amplified the dynamic track force such as the dynamic wheel load, and thus the rail bending stress and the vertical displacement of sleeper could be increased by a maximum of 1.7 times.

  • The transition is the zone where support stiffness suddenly increases in the railway industry. If the support stiffness increases, differential settlement will occur at the transition due to difference of stiffness, and the differential settlement causes problems for the train running safety and the roadbed that supports the track. In particular, a study on differential settlement at bridge-earthwork transition was only conducted to considering railway load in most cases. However, these studies have not taken account of earthquake despite earthquake has been occurred frequently in the recent, and it is necessary to consider earthquake. Therefore, in this study numerical analysis has been performed by changing the inclination of approach block, which determines the shape of the transition, and earthwork in order to verify the effect of the shape of the transition on the dynamic behavior at the bridge-earthwork transition. The result shows that the dynamic behavior at the bridge-earthwork transition was affected by the shape of transition.

A Case Study on Spatting Distresses in Cold Regions (추운 지역의 스폴링 파손 사례에 관한 연구)

  • Field and laboratory investigations were performed for concrete pavement of the Yeongdong Expressway located in western part of the Kangwon Province where lots of the substantially large spatting distresses were found. The spatting distresses were investigated to the naked eye in the field, and splitting tensile strength, air void, and neutralization tests were performed for the cores obtained from the pavement. In addition, load transfers at joints and dynamic bearing capacities at slab centers were measured to identify the lowering of the structural capability of the pavement. It was judged that the investigated concrete slabs were affected by freezing and thawing action because the air voids of the cores were substantially low. Therefore, it was concluded that the low air voids affected the lots of the large spatting distress in the pavement located in the region of cold winter.

  • 19명의 건강한 성인 남자의 우세팔쪽 위팔두갈래근에서 피로가 생길 때까지 2.4초를 하나의 주기로 팔꿉을 반복적 등장성으로 굽히고 펴서 표면근전도 신호를 얻었다. 처리과정 A 중앙주파수(MDF )는 이 신호의 0.5초 구간을 power spectrum analy sis (PSA)로 계산하였는데 상당량의 잡음이 있었다. 중앙주파수의 잡음 양을 비교하기 위해, 동일한 표면근전도에서 3번까지 신호를 받았다 (2.4초 구간을 PSA로 계산한 처리과정 B, 13 point 로 moving averages한 처리과정 C, digital low pass filter한 처리과정 D). 그리고 나서 그 신호의 주요 주파수 성분을 뽑아내었다. 위의 중앙주파수 자료와 시간간의 회귀직선을 분석하면 초기 중앙주파수, 회귀기울기, 그리고 피로지수와 같은 모수를 얻을 수 있다. 비모수 검정의 하나인 Kendall 기법으로 네 개의 처리과정간의 모수를 비교하였다. 통계결과 잡음이 처리과정 A보다 B, C, D에서 적었고, D에서 가장 적게 나타났다. 중앙주파수를 digital low pass로 여과(filtering)함으로써 앞으로 있게 될 동적 운동 시 근피로 모니터기의 신뢰도를 높일 수 있다.

  • 실시간 응용 프로그램은 미디어 데이터간에 만족되어야 할 동기화 제약조건(synchronization constraints)을 가지고 있다. 이러한 제약조건은 프리젠테이션 되어야 할 미디어 데이터간의 지연시간 및 서비스 품질을 나타낸다. 미디어 데이터간의 지연시간 및 서비스 품질을 효율적으로 표현하기 위해서는 이에 적합한 새로운 동기화 기법이 요구된다. 제안된 논문은 가변적 전송 지연 시간을 흡수하면서 미디어 데이터간의 동기화를 수행하는 동적 동기화이다. 즉, 최대 지연 지터 시간을 이용한 동기화 구간 조정과 지연시간의 변화에 따른 가변적 대기 시간을 융통성 있게 처리하여 미디어 데이터간의 동기화 요구를 만족시킬 수 있는 기법이다. 본 논문은 동기화 구간 조정을 처리하기 위해 지연 지터를 적용함으로써 트래픽 증가로 인한 미디어 데이터의 손실 시간 및 지연시간의 변화로 인한 데이터 손실을 감소시켰다. 그리고 스무딩 버퍼의 대기 시간을 가변으로 처리함으로써 지연시간의 변화로 인한 불연속을 감소시켰다. 제안된 논문은 고품질 서비스의 보장을 요구하는 시스템에 적합하며 재생율 증가와 손실율 감소 등 서비스 품질을 향상시켰다.

  • 최근 도로 네트워크 환경에서 날로 증가하는 교통 수요를 충족시키고 각종 교통 문제를 해결하기 위해서 지능형교통시스템(ITS, Intelligent Transportation System)을 적용하고 있다. 특히, 첨단교통정보 시스템(ATIS, Advanced Traveler Information System)은 개별 차량의 주행을 최적화시키는 시스템으로서 운전자에게 출발지에서 목적지까지 빠르고 쾌적한 주행경로를 제공하는 차량 경로계획 수립을 제공한다. 하지만 이러한 시스템은 도로 구간의 비용으로 정적인 값을 이용하므로 동적으로 변화하는 구간 비용을 가지고 도로 네트워크에서 최단 경로를 제공하기는 어렵다. 따라서, 이 논문에서는 교통 혼잡을 고려한 최단 경로 탐색 연산자를 제안한다. 제안된 연산자는 현재 시간 비용과 과거의 시간 비용 변화 량을 더하여 출발지에서 목적지까지 경로를 탐색하는데 이용한다. 이러한 방법은 시간에 따라 변화하는 도로의 상황을 반영하며 출발지에서 목적지까지의 최단 경로뿐만 아니라 예상 도착 시간을 추정할 수 있다. 또한 제안된 연산자는 효율적인 도로 이용, 물류비용 감소, 응급 상황 대체, 연료 절약 및 환경 오염 감소 등의 장점을 가지며 첨단교통정보시스템에서 응용 될 수 있다.

Development of a Numerical Method of Vertical Train/Track Interaction in the Track Section with Hanging Sleepers (뜬침목구간에서 차량/궤도 상호작용 수치해석기법 개발)

  • Hanging sleepers are frequently observed in the ballasted track with the rail of high rigidity. These hanging sleepers at the high speed line could cause such large dynamic force compared to those at the conventional line. This dynamic force would, in turn, deteriorate train running stability as well as riding comfort, and accelerate irregularity of track and failure of track materials, leading to a sharp increase in track maintenance cost. When the wheel-rail contact spring exhibits nonlinear behavior and some components of the system like hanging sleeper exhibit bi-linear behaviors, an effective analytical method is proposed for train-track interactions. The verification of the present method is carried out comparing numerical results by the present method and those by Ono's method of RTRI.
